Great food and service from the manager, Giovanni, and his team. This is just a delightful place to enjoy lunch or dinner - highly recommended.
Sunday afternoon and very quiet but both service and food was very agreeable. Plenty of choice on the menu and for London, excellent value. Good to visit a family owned business and happy to recommend.
Friendly relaxed restaurant with to die for Italian food at a reasonable price. Tiramisu was well worth indulging and all washed down with a chilled white. Will definitely be returning!
Sea bass not cooked and had to be returned. Broccoli grilled and therefore very hard. Starters and desserts were fine but would not eat there again. Staff were not very warm or welcoming.
We were a group of four and were all very happy with the service, the food and the general atmosphere. The manager seemed to keep an eye on things and the waiters were all very friendly. We would all happily go back there.
Wonderful little restaurant with authentic home cooked Italian food. Very welcoming and reasonable . Generous helpings and excellent wine choices. We would love to come back.
Lovely family run small restaurant a little bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Attentive staff and very tasty home-made pasta and sauces. Particularly liked the veggie gnocchi and the bruschetta. Will be back!
Great food. Great staff. Made it a very enjoyable night Even though the resturany were busy with a large birthday party we were well looked after and the pizzas were as good as anywhere
Wonderful food and exceptional service. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the food is delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending Conchiglia and look forward to my next visit.
An authentic Italian experience. The staff are attentive and helpful. The food is simple but tasty and well priced. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
Ok, but not brilliant. Good atmosphere, but service a little lacking. Menu too large. Electric fan heater on floor next to table was a tripping hazard.
Excellent restaurant - I come here very often and always am pleased with the friendly service and the food. The menu is well priced and the restaurant is located on a nice quiet street.
For me this truly authentic Italian eatery sits between trattoria and full service restaurant. keeps best parts of either for the great sum-total. Very accommodating to difficult customers. i wanted my favourite strottaprezzi with a different a wholly mine set of toppings. They did without blinking. It was a meal in addition to a long serious chat we had had and they understood the timings perfectly slotting plates when needed and staying away when things got tense. I am not a foodie so can't tell what was really fresh and what was just fresh. But the meal, the milieu, the service was outstanding. Why only 5? Well The beer was warm - every time...
Not a very warm welcome, though the service turned out to be straightforward and professional; the food however was excellent, especially the home-made lemon sorbet!
All food was amazing! Pizza had lots of topping and was a good size. Steak & prawns were cooked to perfection, with accompaniments so tasty. All at reasonable prices too! Staff were lovely (but new). There was an older gent who was keeping on top on things & oozed experience. Will be back to this place when returning to London.
Our group of six enjoyed great food, wine and had a very nice evening. Service was excellent - A+ can recommend this restaurant for fine dining.
Average service and average food. There are better places around both in the vicinity and not too far afield! This restaurant needs to try harder!
Excellent meal and service ,a great find. A good restaurant in a nice area with lots of character. The owner also greets you as a friend and the food is excellent.
Very friendly stuff and great food for a very good price. Pasta was great and so was the mussels and the fish. Very good selection of wines too. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed the restaurant and meal. Excellent service, very Italian.
Surly staff throughout the meal. My wife's order was wrong so they offered to keep mine warm whilst they changed hers. She ordered the pasta and prawns. The prawns were no bigger than my little fingernail. The gentleman next to use paid by card. His card and the reader didn't leave the table. Mine was taken from me and taken behind the bar. I followed it and found the machine with my card in was next to another reader, just managed to grab it in time. Total forgetable expierience
Slightly dated room (not dated enough to be kitsch) and very underwhelming food. I was hoping for basic but decent Italian food, but sadly it wasn't even that. I could not recommend it.
Good range of food, with plenty of seafood. Good size portions and a well-priced wine menu. Attentive, pleasant staff. Only criticism was that the coffee could have been hotter
Conchiglia is fine, a bit overpriced for what it is. My wife and I had the vegetarian tasting menu, which costs the same as the omnivore tasting menu. The selections were not terribly imaginative. Almost every dish was laden with cheese, and a bit oversauced. I suspect the meat selections were more inspired. The service was solid, the décor attractive. It was a pleasant meal, but nothing exceptional.
Visited the restaurant for lunch with a friend, excellent service, and a very friendly atmosphere. An extensive menu which had us spoilt for choice, food was great, well cooked, tasty and fresh. Can highly recommend and would definitely return.
A warm welcome , great food for everyone in our party. Very busy and great ambience whilst the service perhaps reflected how busy it was...so a little slow in places . Would definitely go back especially to try the pizza again. Our son had one and we all had some it was so big and tasty !
Great genuine Italian restaurant. We had spaghetti carbonara and it was magic. Good price and lovely staff. We strongly recommend it! Free grappa and limoncello with Bill. :)
Friendly little Italian restaurant. Great food, reasonable prices and good wine. You should definitely reserve a table - this is a small restaurant that gets quite busy. I love this place, best Italian in the neighborhood!
I had an enjoyable meal at Conchiglia. The restaurant is a welcoming and friendly staff. It appears to be a family run establishment and the proprietor is very attentive in inquiring about your dining experience. The food was very good and affordable. I will be back in the future.
A very busy restaurant, but the service was pretty good and the food was excellent. We were in a side part of the restaurant which was good because there was a large party in the main part. However, the ambience didn't quite hit the spot -hence a 5 rating.
wanted to do it in order but- but, the best cooked pasta befell me and I have been to Bologna! starter - bresaola very generous portion and bed of salald was actually flavoursome. wines as good as you wish to buy and a really knowledgeable head waiter all conspired to make me happy but also deprived of my usual put-downs. they should definitely charge more
Some of the best pasta and pizza I've had! (and I'm fussy) great value for the standard and for London. Atmosphere sedate and chilled. Definitely worth a visit!
Hard to say - when we arrived there was a notice on the door saying that the restaurant would be closed all week, and apologies. Another couple were also disappointed. I can only imagine a family crisis, a bereavement perhaps. We'll try again another time
Small Italian family restuarant with execellent food! Our starter "Insalata tricolore" was just great. The "Scallopina" in white wine sauce was perfect and served on a hot plate...this is a place to recommend!
great service, great food, reasonable price... what more can one want... lucky for us bank holiday evening so not too many people, a quiet special meal...
The menu was varied offering a vast selection for all tastes, food and drink was excellent and very good value for money. Service too was excellent although the restaurant was quiet for a Thursday evening. Overall an excellent evening and a restaurant I would thoroughly recommend.
Good service... tasty food.... good portions A delightful experience. The restaurant was quite quiet as we ate early in the evening but there was still a lovely atmosphere
