Enjoyable visit. Lovely food and wine and good portion sizes. Excellent value for money along with singing manager/owner.

The food wasn't that great, no one I went with really liked or finished their meal. They had a bar full of alcoholic drinks but no cocktail menu or a bartender who could make cocktails. Very very small inside the restaurant. The ladies toilets are so impractical, only slim ladies could fit in the cubicles, the door is so close the toilet seat it is ridiculous. Granted the workers were nice and it was a calming atmosphere but everything else let it down.

Great food and nice staff, will definitely go back. But will ask for a table away from the door. It was winter and we were very cold every time the door opened and closed. Also the toilets could do with being a bit more pleasing to visit.

Nice ambience, good food (though the 14-inch pizze are a challenge!), attentive and pleasant staff and management. Four of us had different meals and all were enjoyed. Altogether a good experience.

The place is very nice and we enjoyed the food, the prices are also lower than the average of London. The service is a little bit slow, but it’s ok.

This was a friendly, welcoming restaurant with reasonable prices and a fairly varied menu. The food is delicious with large portions! It's necessary to book if eating later as it does get crowded. The decor is a bit dilapidated and the downstairs area smells damp but we had a good experience and shall certainly visit again.

Last time we enjoyed our meal here but this time the tagliatelle were sticky and stodgy, with a rather glutinous sauce. Service very friendly but slow.

We had a really nice meal here last night for my daughters 18th birthday. My husband and daughter had pizzas which they claim to be one of the best they've ever had and the asparagus & ricotta ravioli I had was absolutely delicious. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and always a good sign when there are lots of Italians in an Italian restaurant!! Will definately be back

We ordered gnocchi, sold out, then ordered a chicken dish, sold out, ended up having pizza and this was only 8.30 pm on a Saturday evening. Pasta was good, fish dishes were ok, these were served with a few pieces of carrot, two small florets of broccoli and very dried up roast pieces of potato. Desserts were nice. Overall not very impressed. May return for a pasta dish sometimes

Very large, thin crust pizzas with a reasonable amount of toppings. Restaurant is old-school Italian and although it's looking a little tired around the edges, especially the toilets, the friendly welcome and service make up for it.

Conchiglia is slightly off the beaten track (a good 5 minute walk from Oxford Street and from a number of underground stations) and is better for it. It is a family run, traditional Italian restaurant providing the full array of expected menu choices (pizzas to steak) - if anything, the menu is too extensive. The service was excellent in a very professional and personable way, the food was all fresh, well presented and well cooked; we enjoyed the wines and the complimentary limoncello at the end was a nice touch. The atmosphere was slightly quiet but as it was just after new year this was to be expected and I expect it is usually busy at lunch and dinner time. The extra walk to reach Conchiglia compared to more accessible and typically more commercial restaurants is well worthwhile. We will add it to our list of Italian restaurants which we enjoy in London.

The Conchiglia was adequate but not exceptional. The nicest item we had off the menu was cassata - the nutty, fruity ice cream. However that item is not made in house. It is bought in. As for the rest - okay but not inspired. Other aspects - service etc - were fine. Gratuity is included in the bill which seems odd.

First of all the food was perfectly prepared and truly delicious, without pretentious presentation. The staff are charming and attentive, especially the omniscient manager, who hovers benignly. We arrived early evening when the resto was empty, but it soon filled up with regular, loyal customers. So much so that we felt privileged to be admitted. The place is a little off the main W1 visitors' spoor, which must suit the locals, but do make the effort to find them. Cons? The choice is extensive making decisions difficult and the menus limp. Not a deal breaker.
