Chisou - Mayfair

Excellent sushi restaurant - fish is super fresh and highly varied. The soft shell crab maki is a must. The lunch menu is great value. Staff is attentive and friendly.

Lovely location and fantastic food - really enjoyed the miso aubergine and the tofu steak. The helpful staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere was comfortable but lively.

Amazing sushi and extremely good customer service. Waiting staff were attentive, polite and were able to help us make gluten free choices! A truly exceptional experience - what gem in the heart of London! It was expensive compared to a pizza but very good value for the fresh sushi we got. Around £30 per person with drinks (soft and alcoholic), a starter, main and a lovely orange to finish!

Excellent food, fairly pricey, but probably worth it. Shared several dishes between four of us, so we were able to try different things, and everything was delcious. The waguyu beef in particular was phenomenal.

Very good food. Non formal environment. Service was efficient and fast. Price in the Mayfair range. I will go again for sure to try different dishes.

Fantastic place, great sushi and sakes. The menu could do with more description about the other options I.e. is the noodles served in a soup or what comes the the grilled options. Still, great Japanese food.

Good table, great service and some really good food. Maybe a few too many covers crammed into the space but at lunchtime, during a business lunch, that was not an issue. I'd think twice before eating there in the evening as a social or romantic dinner. Our waitresses (we had two) were both excellent. Probably some of the best soft shell crab I have had in the UK.

We had a fabulous dinner. It was made particularly enjoyable by being served in a completely quiet private room. Dining out is often ruined by being on a noisy restaurant. Excellent, friendly service.

We had a lovely dinner at Chisou. The tuna sashimi was divine, and we especially enjoyed the soft shell crab roll. We will definitely be returning to Chisou in future.

The sushi was incredible and the staff were so frIendly and gave perfect recommendations. I will definitely be back here every time I'm in London!

Service was good, cozy restaurant serving fresh food, the salmon sashimi was pretty good I would recommend if you are looking for a reasonable priced Japanese restaurant and in a hurry as the food comes out a bit too quickly for my liking. But yes I would go back!

A good Japanese restaurant in Mayfair. Reasonable price and good sushi for locals. Very busy on Sunday evenings and booking is a must. Suggest you go early.

Service was top notch and sushi was some of the best I've had. Hot dishes were creative and delicious. It's a small restaurant so best to book ahead.

Chisou is an incredible little restaurant with great ambiance, attentive staff and some of the best sushi I've had in London. Not too pricey so you won't break the bank, but you'll definitely leave satisfied. Absolutely recommended!

Amazing sushi with perfect service. Surprisingly well prised for a place so close to Oxford Circus. Try the Eel or some of the other specials!!

Excellent experience and great food. It is a bit expensive, but once in a while it's the perfect choice for having really a good sushi.

I love the food there, nigiri is great, especially Otoro, pork skewers aren't really suited our taste. We will definitely be coming back again next time we visit London

Best sashimi and sushi in traditional Japanese setting. Service is nice quality likewise. If you want traditional Japanese sea food, this IS the place in London.

Very good restaurant in London for japonese food. Very good meals and nice people inside. Good pricing regarding quality for meals and wine. To be recommended to customers.

The atmosphere is great however the wagyu beef we ordered is just way over cooked. The freshness of the sashimi is great and the black cod I had is just very nice.

The service was great. We went there for the sea urchin but was told they don't have any in stock. It wasn't a big problem though. The food was good but a bit on the pricey side.

very relaxed atmosphere and good food. Sashimi and sushi were amazing. I recommend Yukimi Daifuku for a desert. They also have a selection of good sakes as well.

Definitely one of the better sushi restaurants in london. Quite traditional but all the better for it . Interesting beer and sake list . Friendly staff and pleasant ambiance. A little pricey ( as that kind of food needs to be ) except for the set lunch which is a lot more reasonable . Have been a few times and will no doubt return .

Excellent food and service. I personally find most Japanese restaurants serve small portions and Chisou is no different. But the food and sake were great. Highly recommended!

Chisou is my longtime favourite Japanese restaurant in London. Amazing fresh fish and tasty food, nice venue, elegant yet not pretentious atmosphere, polite & caring service. Any time I am in London I must have a meal at Chisou - even two if I can!

This restaurant is Absolutely Fantastic. The service is very good. The food is amazing. We have a great time there. Sushi is strongly recommended esp Unagi roll.

The food was delicious but service was very poor. Seemed very disorganised despite there being a number of waitresses and waiters. Venue is comfortable and simple.

Excellent, fresh sushi and a range of other traditional Japanese dishes. Traditional preparation. Super friendly staff very willing to offer suggestions and ideas. Decent sake list - hot and cold - to enhance the experience. If you seek the modern, artistic take on sushi this isn't it, but if you want traditional, delicious, high quality sushi this is a great spot. The 2 for 1 Japanese beer deal wasn't bad either.

Very delisious and good experience. The staff are cheerful and can speak Japanese(some staff). I think that if Chisou has YAKITORI menu,it will become more popular.

Located near the bustling Regent Street is this one of the few good Japanese restaurants in London. Lunch set menu offers delicious food with a reasonable price.

Best sushi in London without a doubt. Who ever knew the glory of butterfish. Awesome. Attentive service, lovely Sake selection too. And child friendly. A great experience all round.

Excellent food as always, ambience and service was to a high standard as per usual. Great deal with the lunch set, sashimi was fresh and tempura perfectly (lightly) battered!
