easy to get a seat of you book in advance. always a good place to come for a feed.
Great food, friendly staff and experience! Would come back again
Amazing service and food! Have always wanted to find authentic Japanese sushi and I think I found it! The blue fin fatty tuna and fattest tuna are simply heavenly. Will definitely visit again.
Excellent quality food. Excellent service. Very clean food preparation area. Some items are too expensive and I did not try them because of the price. It would be nicer to have slightly more affordable unusual items.
The food was delicious. The service was good but we did feel that we got less attention than the larger table next to us. I would come back though as thought it was good value for money and a great location
Great food, although fattest tuna was inedible as it was so chewy, we had to send it back. Service was not great as they got our order wrong. It’s expensive, but other than that great sushi and a good atmosphere. All issues were dealt with promptly as well.
It is great place for dinner, I have a wonderful time at this resturant several times and would like to suggest it to my friends
the place is in Mayfair good sushi a bit expensive
Service was excellent Dishes were served promptly The quality of the food were very good We see not many Japanese restaurant open on Sunday but Chisou is the one open on Sunday
It was our second visit the restaurant. Friendly service, good volume of set lunch menu. Quick delivery. Same quality and taste as in Japan. Thank you.
Lovely food if not quite as individual and unique a culinary experience as it once was (some of the more unique dishes have disappeared from the menu, sadly).
What a gem, we booked following a recommendation and were not disappointed. Top quality food and service and pretty reasonable prices compared to similar quality Sushi we have had in London.
A-A-AMazing sushi! Everything was fresh and delicious. Seasonal sake selection is a definite plus! Fabulous service, relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Definitely will be back again.
The food in general at chisou restaurant is excellent. Service we received was slow today. We thought they forget our order. I eat at chisou and riku restaurant sometimes as the quality is always good. However a Japanese point of view, deep fried dish (oyster l had today)should remove more oil. We find it quite oily. Further, Complimentary fried salmon should be served with hot temperature. It was cold and oily..wich was disappointing
Ordered 4 dishes, only 2 came, the other 2 never arrived at our table, annoyed. Would have been nice if they offered more than an apology
Fantastic cuisine and service - everything was perfect and all the food arrived meticulously presented and tasted good too. Not a cheap option but well worth the money.
Nice service good food with a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is open on Sundays a big plus. That’s all I have to say but they want 25 words!
The service was great. Food was fresh and well flavored. My favourite was the chicken gyoza. I will definitely go back for more of those!
A lovely, quaint little restaurant with fantastic fresh servings and Shochu. The restaurant is Surprisingly spacious for Mayfair. Fairly priced food and drinks. Staff are great.
Food was excellent as usual, service was friendly but very slow! The manager did say they were having problems with staff, so hopefully this will improve.
Slow service, sushi way below average considering the upscale pricing. There are better options in Myfair area than Chisou. Would not recommend my friend go there.
Our serving staff were very attentive and quick to serve our table without being obtrusive. We have eaten many times in Chisou and the quality of food is excellent, particularly the sushi. It is our favourite Japanese restaurant in the est end
Good foods as well as good service. Nice for dinner with friends and family. It would be better to have draft beer in addition to Japanese ones.
Service a bit slow this time around, but overall consistent with past experiences and food continued to be good. hopefully they will step up service wise
I’ve been to Chisou for many many years. There are so many poncy trendy Japanese restaurant in London. But Chisou is real authentic, proper Japanese restaurant. I am a Japanese women who lived in London for over 23 years and if I want eat nice Japanese food I go to Chisou. This time I took my client who loves Japanese food, she goes to Zuma, Nobu, Sexy fish etc, I wanted her to try authentic Japanese She loved it
We were given a table in the overflow room which was full of kids. I Would have expected a better table having booked in advance.
Was recommended by a friend. Great food and service. Will go again and can recommend. The soft shell crab rolls were particularly nice and were well enjoyed!
Wonderfully fresh sushi, good ambience, excellent service from polite and attentive staff. Chisou is always a treat and I look forward to my next visit.
Top notch service and delicious, as always. Chisou never disappoints. They are always happy to customise orders, the fish is fresh and beautifully presented, and the good comes quickly.
Excellent food. Highly recommended. We cannot wait to go back. Understated ambience. Love the fact that they don’t play loud music. The real star of the show is the food really. That black cod is to die for.
Private room was clean and the size was just fit. Japanese staff was very kind with smile, and then we could enjoy dinner meeting with our guests. We will soon come back to Chisou Mayfair again.
Good food good service. Sashimi was very fresh. There are different kinds of maki available in the restaurant - absolutely delicious ! Will go there again.
Excellent Japanese Restaurant with great service. Good choice of sushi and sashimi and also noodles and tempura. Nice wooden tables with great Japanese décor. Very good
Very varied and interesting menu, the food is delicious and beautifully presented, the restaurant is simply decorated but authentic, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.
Maitre’d wasn’t too focus on the job considering that there were less than 10 customers at lunch. We had to ask practically everything. We asked for a bottle of Prosecco at the time of order. No prosecco until we asked for it. We ordered Grilled Seabass and was given grilled cod. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. The grilled cod was brought to our table TWICE. All I could say is MAYHEM and MAYHEM. Service like that was not worth £215
Food - 5+ Price - expensive Value - worth it for a date/with a client We really enjoyed eating here and we will definitely return.
Chisou is still one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in London. I noticed the serviced has gone a bit down, maybe there was a change in management?
I really enjoyed the food and the sushi was delicious as well as the tea which was a new experience for me. The actual restaurant is very traditional and the servers were really nice.
very cute and quaint, the staff were great hosts and atmosphere was second to none. Would love the come back one day, although food is pricey it defiently stands for the price given.
Great sushi but ill-behaved children kicking table detracted from our experience. Go later when the kids are at home and don’t miss the Yellowtail cheek.
Great food. The raw sashimi were very fresh. Service was excellent. Quantities were rather big, especially for a Japanese restaurant. Probably one of my favourite jap in L town.
This was a great find! The food was simply incredible and the wine was very good to for house wine! The service could be slightly better as there was hardly any talking by them but that didn't spoil our dining experience. I'd recommend the beef teriyaki!
Excellent food, and service as always. The sushi is so fresh and delicious, not cheap but worth every penny. Great location to pop into when you are in the Oxford Circus area - best to book if there are more than 4 of you.
I used to come to this restaurant when i lived in London about 10 years ago I really enjoyed the restaurant and good thing was that this was open on Sunday as well. True Japanese Flavor was little less this time, probably restaurant is more focusing on Western customer but the quality of the food was outstanding But to be honest We needed something more special Overall very good Japanese restaurant for both Westerners and Japanese
We went for a seaweed salad, tuna tartare, sushi and some noodles. The Tartare and the Sushi were delicious and the service was really good. Highly recommended.
I ordered several kinds of Sushi, but some of them came with more pieces and some of them came with less pieces. That hall staff could not receive our order correctly.
I have been a regular customer since Chisou first opened, so it is one of my favorite restaurants and I usually have sashimi. However today, I thought that the tuna sashimi on the lunchtime menu was not up to the usual standard and this was most unfortunate.
Excellent food. Very nice staff. No rushing if you want to linger which we did! One of our party had never eaten Japenese food and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Food quality very good.Level of service very bad.No knowledge of Japanese food or Sake.Had to repeatedly request a particular type of Sake.Unacceptable service for the price of food and drink.I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to others.I have eaten in this restaurant at lunchtime when the service was much better. Please train your staff.
Lovely and helpful staff, very tasty japanese food - better quality than many other restaurants I have been to in London. I loved the salted grilled mackerel! Very good choice of sake served in the traditional way. Not cheap but reasonable.
