The food is ok but the portion is too small for the price.

Authentic Japanese cuisine. Good choice of Sake's. Sashimi, Miso Soup and Soba noodles outstanding. Probably the best Japanese cuisine I have had outside Japan. Expensive bur then you get what you pay for.

Lovely place for lunch, nice and quiet with attentive knowledgeable staff. Helped me make gluten free choices and had gluten free tamari sauce! The minced chicken meatballs were delicious. Definitely going back

Brilliant recommendation! Fantastic and fresh sushi, gyoza and a lovely amuse bouche served to us to begin our meal. We sat outside which was perfect on a sunny day.

The food was delicious and the service was great too, but the restaurant needs a bit of a paint job and refurbish to align with the high standard of food and service. The bathrooms weren't much either, which is a pity as it would make all the difference.

Great food and good service but be aware of the premium price. One of the few places in London with chawan mushi. First time there? Always pick at least one item from the Chef's specials.

The food was very good, izakaya style. However the service was a bit stressful, they were very much in a rush. But overall would highly recommend.

Excellent food if a little expensive (but consider the location). The sashimi is the best I know in London and there is a wide range of sake. Highly recommended.

We had a great time there on the night. They gave us a good customer service such as topping up beer at our table or changing plates swiftly. I really enjoyed the food as well.

The restaurant Just a short walking distance from Oxford Station, quite easy to find. It serves delicious authentic Japanese food at mid-range prices, especially "Chef Recomended" Menu, must try one or two dishes. Restaurant is clean, simple decoration and hostess are friendly.

Service was poor. Drinks order was incorrect. Food took an hour to arrive. Manager apologised and offered us a free drink but food still took an additional 15 minutes from this point. Food was delivered to wrong table (who ate it). Surely it doesn't take an hour to make some avocado rolls? I could have made them myself. Restaurant was not overly busy. Staff were very surprised that we were still paying for the meal. Food was nice when it did arrive though.

Fantastic evening - they had paid attention to my seating request on my reservation and we had a great table, the food was excellent and the wait staff delightful. I had mentioned it was a birthday reservation and they even - unasked - put a candle in a pudding and sang, which was sweet. Unbeatable selection of sake - had the most wonderful fragrant, plummy one. Good umeshu too.

We were going to go to a more well known place but read the reviews and decided to try Chisou. The sushi was amazing! I highly recommend the specialized maki roles without soy sauce. The service was excellent as well. Low key atmosphere and very high quality sushi.

Great food, great service, consistently good experience. I was able to book a table at short notice and even managed to change the time of the original booking over the phone. The staff at the restaurant were very nice, and the food was very fresh and tasty as always. One of the best Japanese restaurants in London.

The food was good quality and fresh - portions could be larger! I particularly love the nasu dengaku and salmon sashimi - the chicken katsy was crispy which is how it should be and the rose wine on the menu smooth! well done.

Excellent food, incredible fresh and tasty. Had the miso cod which was fabulous as well as the sashimi! Not cheap but what you would expect for a good Japanese restaurant. Staff were not Japanese but looks like the chef is.
