Chelsea Bar and Brasserie

Food was quite nice but I wouldn’t say it was worth the price. Atmosphere was nice.

We had a great time at the brasserie, attentive staff, lovely food and comfortable surroundings. The choice on the menu was good and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

The food was ‘fine’. The service was average. Having visited this restaurant at least three times previously I cannot say today was the best experience. Previously staff have been attentive, engaging and prompt. Today was definitely Brasserie as opposed to a restaurant experience......

Fantastic service and food was very good. Really lovely menu. Would go again. It's a lovely venue that's a good distance to town or montpellier.

Lovely lunch - lovely food - excellent value and we manged to order, eat, drink and be back at work just about in an hour.

Experienced the Chefs Special a few times and was so impressed we booked our 50th Wedding Anniversary family meal. The staff were very helpful, polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The meal was excellent and we all had a lovely time. Have recommended to several friends.

My friend and I enjoyed an amazing 2 course lunch yesterday. Lovely welcome by the hosts. The quality and size of portions were excellent. The wine was chilled to perfection. Great ambience, we will definitely return.

Fabulous Sunday lunch and service . We went with a groupon and weren’t disappointed. Pudding Was also delicious. Certainly will recommend. Parking close by too.

Great food and great service. It’s now the kids favourite place to eat. They loved all the dishes and I would definitely recommend this place.

I really love this place, good food, great service, trendy décor and a fab location in town - close enough but far from the madding crowd. Always receive a warm welcome too.

The Sunday lunch was good, but when asked about puddings, all sauces had additives, so couldn't have anything. It's a lovely restaurant and attentive staff.

Second visit to this restaurant, with my partner and two daughters, for Sunday lunch. Excellent meal and service, I'm sure more visits in the future.

Service was slow to begin. Food. Mediocre at best. Then ordered pudding. After 20 mins we cancelled it. As fed up of waiting.it wasn’t even busy. So how they could get it so wrong? Even with a discount card it wasn’t worth the price.

Attentive staff and pleasant surroundings but the food is a disappointment .the main course mussels were a tiny portion.dont think I have often left a restaurant so hungry . I had more calories from the wine than the food .

We had bought a groupn voucher for the Sunday Lunch. We had Delicious food with great service and we were served by delightful staff . Would definitely recommend .

Went as a group. Lovely atmosphere and service. Staff friendly. Set lunch was mixed as far as quality was concerned. Starters of baked Camembert and Pate were sparse. A bit of garnish would have helped. The bread was bit stale. Black pudding was quite good but over cooked and rosti was cremated. Mushrooms on ciabatta was enormous with far too much bread but tasted good. Main courses with fish were very good. Seafood pasta was awful, just pink sauce on pasta. Chicken and chorizo burger was terrible. Expected succulent minced chicken and chorizo. It was just dried out, over cooked bit of chicken breast with no chorizo. Bun was cheap bread. Chips were very good. Overall a pleasant place, not expensive, with pleasant staff but a poor cook. I’m afraid we won’t be going again.

Very enjoyable. Friendly helpful staff. Food good and plentiful. Presentation of main course a bit haphazard as rather too much on the plate. The cranberry sauce could have been served separately.

Vegetables seemed old and stale. Water jug of which ordered on arrival appeared when we had finished eating. Glad we used groupon voucher as would of been more disappointed if paid full price. Previous visits have been much better not consistant

Hi had booked but the rest. did not seem to be able to cope. Long wait even for drinks and olives. Other clients also had a long wait. The tablecloth was soaked previous people had split water all over it. and we had to ask for the cloth to be changed. they not do that willingly. The food was mixed some good some not so. The food could have been warmer. We were not offered dessert so in the end gave up and asked for the bill which came rapidly. The bill was the only think quick. The restaurant was noisy but expected that, and had a good atmosphere. Staff very pleasant. The above did not lend itself to a great evening We did complain to the manager who said she was sorry. end of story Gill Keyte

Food was good and the decor and ambiance is nice. The service was a little rushed...we got the bill before we could ask to see the desert menu! To be fair we had preordered and hadn't specified desserts, but I would have thought they'd have welcomed the opportunity for an upsell!

Long long wait for food, Wrong orders, Starters and main nearly came out together, well over cooked soft shell crab, the lamb shank was cold in the middle and three sea food linguine's were not edible. Very disappointing on my wife's 40th!!!!!

Chelsea Brasserie,has a classy atmosphere delicious food and very helpful and attentive staff,I had a small concern over my duck and the waiter spoke to the chef and came straight back with an answer to my question ...I was very impressed.Looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return for another meal. Only negative would be how loud it gets in there when it's full.

Lovely venue, great service. The food was delicious and brilliant value. Early bird menu had great choices and did not dissapoint. Cocktail were as usual quite pricey but that’s the same most places. Baileys Coffee was perfect!

Excellent service with friendly and accommodating staff. We were given a complementary small starter which was delicious. The food was tasty with plenty of seasoning. A relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday lunchtime meal.

The staff are very welcoming and the food is delicious. It is not a cheap place to dine but worth it for a treat. There are road works so you can't park outside though.

Lovely atmosphere, cosy and yet modern and fresh. Food was of a high quality and arrived quickly. Even though there was a large party on another table the waitress was still very attentive.

Travelling North from Portsmouth Cheltenham was an ideal place for my wife and I to have lunch and having seen good reviews for the Chelsea Bar and Brasserie booked a table. The interior design is very modern, two walls being lined with bottles of wine from the wine list, matt black ceiling and simplistically-styled tables and chairs. To the food; my wife had deep fried Baby Camembert followed by Pork Loin with Roast Potatoes with she allowed me to try and it was tender and delicious and I had Chicken Strips with Tamarind Sauce, piquant but also sweet, followed by Chicken, Chorizo & Mushroom Tagliateli which was rich, creamy and very tasty. We had a Hungarian Pinot Grigio that was an ideal accompaniment and not expensive. We were served by Paula & Dana who were delightful. The overall experience was excellent and we have definitely decided that the next time we in the vicinity we will be reserving a table at Chelsea for sure. I should add that we had the special offer lunch and our 2 courses cost £20 each

An out of town’er who visited Chelsea Bar/Brasserie with local friends. Quiet off the beaten track location. Lovely ambience, funky decor and great service. Excellent choice of dishes on offer. Recommended and will visit again. Dhillon

A gem of a place. The food was amazing, great value for money and the service was faultless. We will definitely be going back again.

Nice restaurant, food was excellent but disappointed with the limited choice of sweet dishes. Don't like the way very small portions of food are served up all dressed up and fancy, just to look bigger and ultimately try and justify the high prices! Usual vastly overpriced drinks.

The food was very nice, the staff were friendly and service was very quick. Both our meat dishes were requested to be served "medium" but both were just a little over that, but otherwise very enjoyable

We had a really nice meal it's a lovely restaurant, the service was good. There was some exterior works going on with scaffolding up but that would definitely not stop us returning again! X

Very nice experience. Good food and friendly service. Bit on the expensive side and management have such a cheek trying to charge for water, we're not America!! It's perfectly ok to drink tap water!! Would definitely return
