Hands down our favourite Italian restaurant. Everything is perfect, food, atmosphere, staff. Just wonderful.
Booked through Quango only a couple of hours prior to arriving. Booking was accepted but restaurant too busy to have checked any late bookings. Luckily we were easily accommodated. Food was very tasty though I thought the presentation was misleading. Perhaps just without all the frills that we have got so used to but that don't really change the overall flavour of a dish. Pasta was well cooked and delicious. Waiting staff friendly, but not too friendly, and helpful. Had a bombe for desert which was also delicious. Didn't have to wait too long. Prices fine. Atmosphere of restaurant was very good. Simple with an Italian feel. Not too close to other tables. Not crowded on a Monday night but full enough. Plenty of tables for four had only two settings. I would go back if I am ever in Carlisle again. Thank you.
Excellent evening, good food and drink, plenty of choice on menu and the restaurant was busy enough without being overcrowded, nice atmosphere and good value. We'll be back!
Lovely restaurant been many times over the years, even though we live near Southport. Always book it when we are in Carlise. Food amazing. Lovely staff and very good value for money
Always apersonal service, ALL staff greeted us by name so homework had clearly been done, the easy but completely professional interaction among the staff made for really integrated service, and the meal was excellent. I went back to the Budino Nero and a mains of Sicilian Pork on a fragrant lemon risotto, both from the pre-7pm menu, because they are both amazingly good, and my wife had a pizza from that menu too - but the A la Carte prices are amazingly reasonable too. We always like to eat here if we're passing through Carlisle, and have only missed it a couple of times because it isn't (or wasn't) open on Sunday evenings. Worth booking as it always seems busy.
