We had a lovely meal the service was great and even given a cheeky baileys on the house what a great place , will definetly return.

Had an evening meal at Carmela's which was lovely. Very good menu choices - especially good Vegetarian options. Efficient, polite and helpful staff. Will definitely return.

Really friendly service, nice atmosphere and setting and the menu was great. We both had the Zuppe di Pesce which tasted just like the real thing from Italy.

The service was attentive. There was a lovely ambience in this historic building. A red wine was recommended to us and it was excellent. The food looked and tasted superb. We will be returning soon!

Nice atmosphere and great food, some speciality fish dishes that you don't find in many places. We eyed up some of the other food coming out of the kitchen and are already planning our return!

Carmela catered for all of our needs - one vegetarian and one vegan/gluten free. Very polite and attentive. Very happy customers - we will return.

Services was very good, the lamb dish I had was excellent, and my husband's pork belly tasty, how for the price there was very little pork. To sum up expensive but tasty food with good service

They serve great food, they provide a very friendly, good quality service and the menu provides some interesting options i.e. Not the same standard menu as often seen in other "Italian" style restaurants

This is our favourite restaurant as it is a family run business. The food is beautifully cooked. The staff are friendly and attentive. We were a group of four on this occasion but went as a group of nine previously and the service was just as good. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Genuine Italian restaurant, run by Italians, cooking real Italian food. Delicious bottle of Sicilian wine (Passionata? something like that!). Not the cheapest restaurant in East Street but worth the difference.

There was good service with Lovely food. The chairs were rather strange. On the expensive side. They do have good value early evening menu. Looks like a good place to go on sunny evening with outside veranda.

Great tasting food and generous portions provided. Compliments to the chef and staff! Service was also very good ..... as was the ice cold limoncello :)

Food and service very good although one of the meals was warm not hot. restaurant a little chilly in fairness when mentioned they did turn the heating up we all agreed would definitely visit again.

Intimidating front of house lady (manager?) Not allowed the xmas menu because we booked online, my pasta was cold & we were made to feel unwelcome at 1030pm (music off and lights on). We wont return& I would not recommend this restaurant.

We had a very pleasant meal for two. We both had scallops, chorizo and butternut squash as a starter which were very tasty. My wife had the light main of Parmesan and vegetables, whilst I had the liver. The liver was sliced rather than a complete piece but was fine and the accompanying sweet potato fries were great ( but as my wife said, most probably very unhealthy!). The wines were fine and the service was very friendly. Service is added automatically to the bill.

Best meal I've had on Horsham. Superb food, Lovely staff and very accommodating with our babies. I can't recommend or rate this restaurant enough. We will definitely be going back

As a vegan I pre-warned the restaurant and they could not have been more friendly helpful and tasty, from vegan wine on our table upon arrival onwards. The 'normal' food was excellent too! Thoroughly recommended

Very enjoyable meal full of flavour and excellent quality. Lovely ambience in the restaurant. One of our favourite Horsham restaurants must ensure we go there again soon.

Really enjoyed the food and lively atmosphere. Carmelas zuppa di pesce was excellent. Good service. Much nicer than the usual chain restaurants and worth paying a little extra.

Great food and ambience served by friendly and competent staff. A little gem only recently discovered and we will be going back. Pizzas are huge was very full.

Having had an excellent experience just a few weeks ago, we decided to dine at Carmela's again. We were a party of five adults. Greeted warmly we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar. After 30 minutes we were shown to our table. Starters were slow to arrive but were very good. Our mains took even longer. One main was disappointing, but the other four were excellent. An alternative main was offered but declined. Overall, a pleasant experience but overshadowed by slow service. Staff were aware and apologised for the delays. Carmela's is an excellent restaurant so we will return. Thankfully, the food compensated for the delays!

Good service with a smile and very friendly staff. The food is of good quality and mostly well flavoured. We prefer our pasta bit finer/thinner than what we were served.

We had a wonderful evening enjoying a delicious dinner sitting outside under the stars celebrating our eldest daughter's birthday. The staff are always wonderfully friendly and attentive. The food, as always, was superb.

1st time at Carmelas. Simply amazing. Lovely family feel and we were looked after by lovely staff from the moment we walked in. Our food was delicious and the pudding was delightful. Finished off with a desert wine. I would recommend Carmelas without hesitation and will definitely be returning.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere that ended a great day of celebration. From online booking to leaving the restaraunt this was easy and would highly recommend.

Excellent traditional Italian dishes, rounded up with seasonal English ingredients. not the cheapest place but portions are a generous size - a main course is filling enough on its own.

I don't usually give full marks in reviewing any service, but our visit to Carmela was faultless: delicious fresh home-made food, extremely pleasant wine plus friendly attentive but not pushy service.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and fabulous food. There is a good choice of food on the menu, with gluten free options. There is no pressure to rush through the courses either. Have returned to this restaurant several times, and will do so again.

We love this restaurant, always a warm reception/service and great food and wine. Great sitting out on the terrace last night, felt like we were in Italy.

This is a restaurant with a lovely homely atmosphere and delicious food. Wonderful combinations of fish or meat with unusual vegetables. A true taste of Sicily.

Excellent food and service. With so many Italian restaurants in Horsham you have to be that little bit special to be ahead of the competition, and Carmela's certainly is.

Lovely, authentic Italian atmosphere. A prompt and friendly service by the waiting staff. Food was well presented and very tasty. Although prices are a little on the high side it was well worth it.

We visited for my husbands burthday. Excellent food, friendly service. It's a lovely gem of a restaurant run by family amongst all the other chains in the town.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Carmela and both had a shared starter of variety breads. These were excellent. Followed by a fantastic mushroom risotto that was as good as the one we had in Verona. Lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient service.

Fantastic Food, fantastic service and beautiful setting. One of my favourite restaurants in Horsham. Fully recommend visiting this restaurant for a fine dining experience with very reasonable prices.
