Amazing. Nothing else to say!! One of my favourite spot in London EVER
goof atmosphere and pleasant staff. Very good food as well!
fantastic food so fresh and authentic. service was also friendly and efficient. one of the best meals I ever had
Great place for both cocktails and drinks. Can get busy at times so best to book before visiting
Can't wait for it to reopen again great choice of Japanses drinks
Good food, but terrible acoustics + noisy neighbours meant it was hard to hold a conversation, so left early :(
Really Delicious food and great atmosphere. Would definitely visit again!
Spent my 30th Birthday dinner here with five friends and the staff made an effort to make sure everything went to plan. Initially they sat us at a table for four so it was cramped but they moved us to a bigger table once we asked. Really appreciated it guys thank you for a great night!
Great food and drinks, sometimes a little too loud inside
The food was average and not great variety to order. Service was friendly but not efficient- we had to follow up on our food order as it was taking too long, and request for napkins and cutlery to be provided
Relaxed and trendy atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend. Also make a reservation as it is a relatively small and intimate place.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent cocktails. Lovely little quirky looking restaurant.
Great food, drinks and atmosphere! A place genuinely passionate about whiskey and getting the most from it. Highly recommended.
Great food, a little pricey, but loved the atmosphere. Servers were a little slow despite the fact that the restaurant was not very crowded. Overall a good experience and would recommend.
Hosted by the owner himself, the restaurant offers a unique experience of tasting a broad selection of Japanese whiskies with some tasty food. Great vibe and friendly staff, definitely recommended.
The service was friendly and the food was really tasty.
Not a top 5 whisky bar. Just another bar....food below average.....A chicken on a piering......
Very very nice food, superb recipe, but the service is a bit slow, they got our order wrong a few times.
Would recommend. One two three four five six seven eight
Fantastic service. Very accommodating, easy goIng and friendly staff. Food very enjoyable also.
Very slow service, took forever to clear the dirty plates
Brilliant! The food was great. Especially the chicken. Highly recommended
We booked a bottomless gin brunch, which was great to begin with but after our second drink it took at least 20mins, up to 40mins to get another drink to the table. They forgot our orders twice. It was very disappointing as it had great potential, the food was good and the drinks were nice... but it was beyond slow. Not what we wanted for a bottomless brunch
Lovely new garden in the back! Ribs were smothered in BBQ sauce and the duck was very tasty.
Lovely cocktails and good service. Our friend was also late and they let us keep our reservation and no time limit on table
Great place, love the Asian decoration and whisky cocktails were just perfect! One of the waitress was not really nice like she didn’t want to be there. Food lacks of seasoning.
Paul was fantastic and very accommodating. We will be back!
lovely back garden area! mac & cheese croquettes were different from expected but really nice. the duck was also very tasty!
Went there for a group event, great cocktails, food and welcoming staff
- average food: bao buns very sweet, popcorn chicken had no taste - average staff, didn’t comment on food not eaten - expensive drinks with no expertise provided. Could have gone to a pub
Food was fab, staff and owner so friendly and professional. Extremely knowledgeable about whisky- if that’s your thing, you need to visit! Delicious food- would definitely go again.
Rotisserie chicken and whisky flight were excellent, but they'd run out of beer, to the slight displeasure of my fellow diners.
The server knew nothing about the whiskey available and the chef coughed on a number of dishes being served.
The food was excellent as were the drinks. The waitresses/waiters very slow and super forgetful.
Great food, drinks and service - chicken wings were delicious - thank you!
The food was go but the price was not adjusted in my opinion
Great food , drinks and atmosphere! Service not great though
Lovely waitresses and staff; not whisky drinkers but a nice evening in a great atmosphere - may well come again !
Friendly staff, great space, great whiskey selection. I definitely recommend the chocolate cake with lime ice cream. My point of criticism would be the relatively slow service since when my duck arrived it was not as hot as it should.
Had the most amazing time having Brunch at 'Bull In a China Shop'. The food was excellent and they had enough choice on the menu for everyone. Overall perfect dining experience. Will be back!!!
Just 'OK'. Food was OK, location and fitout is fair, whiskey range is pretty decent but shouldn't be a 'top 5 whiskey bar in London'.
Food excellent Ambience unique World Whiskey flight great way to experience a range of flavours, made all the more enjoyable with commentary from expert staff with passion for the drink. Highly recommend
Really goo experience, food was great and atmosphere fun. Only point that could be improved would be that waitress didn't know much about the menu and was slow to collect plates and propose desserts.
Quirky little place with unique interior. Great location. The menu in the evening looks great and the brunch / lunch was very good. Food was tastey especially So Bulli and the BBQ ribs.
Great food and very quick efficient service with attention to details - the wine was always topped up and the staff asked for any allergens.
Fantastic whisky selection with a very passionate expert on hand. Had the whisky flights to try a selection of Japanese and Taiwanese fare. The whisky was great but the knowledge and enthusiasm it was served with was even better. I would recommend this for an informal tasting session. Really enjoyed it.
We were slightly disappointed as their signature dish - the rotisserie chicken was very dry - maybe it was because we didn’t order the whole chicken so they only reheated the part we had. The drinks were good though.
We were really pleased to find such a cute place in a Shoreditch. Lovely friendly staff, great cocktails, delicious wine, cosy restaurant with good food! A lovely night out!
Great food, friendly staff and just a really nice ambience and a relaxed atmosphere. Couldn’t really say anything bad about the place and will definitely be going back some time.
Delicious, well cooked food and awesome jazz. Loved it and this place will now be added to the list of favourites for Friday Lunch Club.
