Tasty food, huge portions, great additional sauces on the table set in a relaxed atmosphere. Dirty donut and pitboss platter were amazing. Thanks for the experience

Food and location are great. Service could be a little more friendly.... although it is a very busy place! value for money and an overall positive experience!

Really quirky restaurant don't expect comfy padded seats and table cloths on the tables. It's wooden benches and tables but it just adds to the authenticity, a real american diner. Food is tasty and plenty of it. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Give it a try.

Was a fantastic dining experience, we went a little later in the evening so we had the full attention of the waiting staff. We were taken care of, the food was fantastic and the proportions were very generous. Just great.

Excellent service the food was even better and the only drawback to a great experience was the very disappointing children’s menu. Even smaller portions of the adult menu would have been sufficient. Overall great food and experience.

Fabulous hidden gem in Edinburgh. Amazing BBQ cuisine - large portions, so you don't leave hungry. Polite and friendly waiting staff who are knowledgable about the food they are serving. Recommend this restaurant to all

Had trouble finding this restaurant as the entrance is just a door with a sign. Once we were in we’re shown to a smaller room at the back upstairs. Probably not the best time to have gone to any restaurant on the Royal Mile as there had been an Independence march that afternoon and there was a large table of very loud locals also dining. Perhaps this was a good thing as the play list of music was a bit strange for what is essentially an American bbq diner. That said we ordered the Big Boss Platter and shared it with a side of fries, onion rings and coleslaw. The meat was cooked to perfection and especially enjoyed the sausages. Very large portion which the wife surrendered on so I struggled to empty the plate. Well worth a visit if you enjoy American bbq.

Awesome portions and great taste! Was good from start to finish and the servers made sure we were enjoying and had no concerns! Can’t wait for next time!

The ribs were over-cooked and dry... the brisket the same... It’s a shame the food didn’t match the quality of the server.

It is the second time I have been there. The food was excellent again, I really enjoyed what I had. Would definitely go back another time.

First visit last night and the food, staff and atmosphere were fantastic 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 the best burger I’ve had in a very long time. Definitely coming back again next time we visit Edinburgh 10/10

Great food (loads of it) .. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff. A great little place to eat right in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town. Recommended.

10 out of 10 yet again at Bubba Q. I had the Ribs, chips and salad, with 2 glasses of red wine. Awesome. Best ribs that I have had outside the United States!

One of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh. I’m always excited to go. The food never dissapoints. My only qualm add the mash back into the sides.

Once again another great meal, great food, beer and service! We have visited here a few times now and it never disappoints, if you love US style BBQ you will love Bubba Q!

Nice relaxed place to eat, service was quick and food okay. Had nachos to start with which were tasty and burgers just right, didn’t enjoy the sides macaroni was bland and loaded fries not great, thought the onion rings would have been homemade

Our second time at BUBBAQ had the ribs with two sides and a beer Very good, Staff were attentive, informative and nice too! Great value on an ITISON deal

We were using an itison voucher which made it good value, but I wouldn't go back and pay full price. I had the 'buttermilk fried chicken burger' special, but it was just a couple of very thin breadcrumbed chicken pieces in a bun with mayo and salad. The mac and cheese was bland, and the 'smothered fries' just had a small amount of cheese, bacon and spring onions on top but most of the chips, being underneath, had nothing on them. But the onion rings and the BBQ sauces were nice. Service was good.

Unbelievable value for money and delicious into the bargain. The experience was even further enhanced by the great friendly service. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Cute place, fast service by friendly staff and good food with substantial portion sizes. Toilets oddly small but that would be my only vaguely negative comment. Would go back when in Edinburgh again.

Love this place. Have been a few times now,one of our favourites in Edinburgh. Staff are always welcoming,friendly & helpfull. The food is amazing especially the brisket,we even ordered an extra portion to take away last night to let others try for themselves! Will be returning again & again.

The service was very good with quick check backs and regular drink checks. The food was good overall but inconsistent - hot links, ribs and wings were all cooked well and falling off the bone but the brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken were somewhat dry. This was a very good experience but slightly short of great.

Went with friends on Sunday for a meal. Great service and excellent staff. The food was fantastic, exactly what we asked for, and absolutely no complaints. We will be definitely using Bubba Q’s again.

Great food, great portions and very well priced. Six of us all had different meals (Ribs and Brisket combo for myself, with fries and onion rings). I've been before this visit and will certainly be back after this one also.

Large portions and really cheap but service and food could definitely be better pork was dry and tough and the mac and cheese had no flavour the beans with brisket were really nice though. One waitresses for the up stair section the poor girl was run of her feet

Food very fresh and tasty. Good choice on the menu. Portion size was very generous- ordered the hot links for a main which came with 5 sausages! Along with 2 side of your choice. Buttermilk chicken burger was delicious also. Service was quick and pleasant. Restaurant was clean. Would highly recommend and will 100% be returning. Would recommend booking a table.

Fab fresh cooked food, great service and huge portions. Be hungry to visit here! We had nevwr been here before, but we will definitely be back.

Lovely food. Lovely staff. Will be back again. This was our 6th time at Bubba Q. Only one thing i would say is for them to have a hot hot hot sauce.
