Great service. Amazing food. Would recommend to family and friends. Will come back again as so much on the menu we would love to try. And to anyone planning a visit don’t worry if you can’t eat it all just ask for a take away box as the staff will helpfully oblige

I have to say we where very disappointed only allowed to pick from one part of the menu which was fine ? Until we had to eat it ? We ordered chicken tenders to start thought we will pay extra for the add ons ? Shouldn’t have bothered they were deep fried burnt chewy ? My main was BBQ pork sliders I ate a bit of one it was disgusting no BBQ on it . The other meal was seemingly the same I refused to try it . Won’t go back total waste of money

The food was very nice and portions big as expected, some nice beers as well and all was fairly reasonly priced. Would recommend going to this place

Fantastic food, we were here a couple of years ago not long after it first opened, and were happy to see they were still going strong. Friendly service and glad we booked as it filled up quickly!

Very welcoming staff. Generous portions, the loaded fries were outstanding! I had the braised beef, it melted in my mouth. My brother had the pulled pork sliders and they were delicious too.

Absolutely love this place. Great food, generous portions and lonvely staff. A hidden gem in the middle of Edinburgh. Always a place to go when we're in the city.

Each time we take a trip to Edinburgh, Bubba Q is always our regular to visit, a good range of choice at a good price!

Friendly staff who were very attentive. Food was amazing cocktails were delicious. We will be back and the next time we will be bringing our daughter too as she will love the food too!

We had a nice experience at Bubba Q, asking for a meat platter. We were immediately shown to our table and the decor was fun and interesting. I also really enjoyed the music which was a good volume. 2 little flaws were firstly, I felt quite rushed as I had instantly sat down and was immediately asked what drink I wanted and felt like the staff were hovering. Which some people would enjoy as it made for quick service but I found made it hard for me to relax. Secondly while the food was delicious with lovely sauces, there was a bit that was over cooked and inedible. This feels a little like nitpicking as the rest of the food was fantastic.

Food is always amazing! Great central location near to everything. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will always be back to Bubba Q time and time again!

Lovely food, atmosphere and service. Would highly recommend. You have to be really hungry though!! Portions are HUGE!!!! If you don’t want a massive portion, I can recommend the chicken wings as they’re available in regular or large!

Massive portions, staff were lovely and efficient, only bad thing was its a bit cold sitting next to any of the windows as they are old and don't keep the cold air out so much.

Wonderful atmosphere! I loved all the license plates everywhere; really gave it an American feel. The food was amazing as well! Smothered fries are my new favorite thing :D

We've been here before and had a decent meal so thought we would try again and get something different. First time we got burgers which is pretty hard to get wrong. This time We both got tacos The 'chicken' tacos tasted like duck (revolting). The waitress walked away at one point whilst I was still talking to her. Food was so bad the meat was one million percent not chicken. Disgusting.

Food was average compared to other smokehouses. Wish we would of gone to burgers and beers over the road. Food arrived cold, normally this wouldn’t bother me but the ribs had obviously been smoked earlier in the day and left to cool but when served they had just been covered in sauce and not heated in anyway. When the issue was originally raised the waiter was a bit confused but polite. After another 30 minutes wait, we cancelled the rest of order and ask for the bill. We then had to speak to someone as they still expected us to pay for food we hadn’t received.

Second visit here. Food is excellent & staff very attentive. Beware when ordering - the portions are more than generous! Would totally recommend a meal here.

Love coming here food is amazing IPA variety is great the place is funky and the staff are great. Wouldbt go anywhere else for bbq in edinburgh

Excellent, friendly service. Great food and good size portions. Served our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Would not hesitate recommending to friends and will visit again if going to Edinburgh.

We had ribs and a birger with beef brisket which was amazing. Robs were also delicious but some bits were really dry. Nevertheless the portion was so big with fries and side included so i could not finish it all off. Nice music with bon jobi and aerosmith playing along, lovely drinks and very nice staff. After 18:00 gets really bisy so booking a table is better than poppin in. The burger was the best in town. Loved it

Unreal food. Very tasty and just what we wanted. Service was great and quick. Didn’t originally plan to go here but very glad we did. My boyfriend says he’s never had such a good burger, he looked more in love with it than he does me! I had a hotdog and it was delicious. Would fully recommend.

Love bubba q. First time trying the burgers and they were delicious, however the waitress wasn’t the friendliest saw her roll her eyes wich is a no no

The service is fast, the menu is great for all meat lovers. The ribs are well made and the portions are really generous. Value for money.

Once again great meal, great service and would highly recommend! We loved the Cajun Chicken Tacos and Chilli the Kid, lots of flavour and a good sized portion to feed your hunger.

We had the pit master’s platter. It was definitely enough for 3, but it was just my husband and I. We did take the rest home. Meat and sauces were good. We especially liked the S. Carolina sauce, mac & cheese, cajun fries, and beer selection. We did not loke the chicken wings that came on the platter. Good service.

The food was really yummy and is a hiding gem of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and I would strongly recommend to anyone who is a massive fan of American food to visit the restaurant

Excellent food, very big portions!! No need for a starter if having mains - maybe share a dessert? :) also....don’t wear a white top!! good service.

The food was really good quality. Portions were very generous, touching on the large side. Although we were in a group we were able to chat which is great. If anything the place could be a little more atmospheric.

Very good food and excellent sauces (although missing Texas, Tennessee and Kansas City style sauces which are the most popular). Constructive feedback is: alcohol prices were very high (£5.50 for a cider!) and there were no wet wipes served with the bbq ribs which is a pretty standard thing. The cheese sauce wasn't sauce at all - it was shredded cheese on top of chips. Service was good and pulled pork was excellent.

Great food, friendly service. Menu offers enough variety and portion sizes are good. Thought the decor was quirky - loved the radiator valve coat rack!

Massive portions of very tasty food. And finally, somewhere that sells root beer! I think they should add some hard shakes to the mix. Bit small inside but really enjoyed everything overall.

Favourite place to eat, food, atmosphere and staff are brilliant. Portion sizes are massive and very reasonably priced too. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

If you love Authentic American BBQ this is the place to go huge portion especially the pit boss platter I attempted on my own but couldn't finish it the meat is lovely and tender and packed full of flavour highly recommend this place

Despite us being early and the restaurant being busy, we got seated straight away. The servers seemed a wee bit rushed off their feet but we did get our orders taken reasonably quickly. The only real complaint I had was that the food, while pleasant enough, was actually a little bland. I’ve been before and was very impressed but this time the brisket was really fatty and the chilli had little to no flavour. While the restaurant is reasonably priced, the food quality has dropped since my last visit. Not sure if I’ll go back.

Bubba Q was a very good restaurant, walked in slightly early and still got seated, the look and the feel was excellent with a very industrial feel which I really like. The food was also exceptional especially the dirty donut burger, wow a combination I never thought I’d try and the pricing isn’t really out of this world. So I definitely would return and recommend to anyone!

Best meal ever. Service all ways good. Great value for money and no matter what you get it’s always delicious. No one compares to BubbaQ for the barbecue experience.
