Nice starters, average taster main course. Meat almost but not quite dry & in need of flavouring. Friendly waiting staff although quite busy. Wouldn't go back

Highly recommended! Great service, food arrived quickly and was amazing! Great value for money. Can't wait to go back again! Definitely found the place to get a BBQ fix.

Food was great, lady serving was lovely and really good with our one year old daughter! Would definitely go recommend. Will be back at some point :)

It was the best burger I've had in a long time. We both enjoyed the burgers, fries and onion rings. Would recommend. We will return.

The food was lovely; not healthy at all (!) and absolutely no portion controls, but tasty if you fancy a treat. However the service was questionable. We got ignored whilst looking at the menu for around ten minutes, and none of the staff smiled at us or greeted us with any friendly chat. We might go back if we get a deal on the food but we won't be expecting friendly or fast service!

The service in this place was great! The waitress was very friendly, and service was fast. We went for the lunch deal, which is really good value for money, and the food was tasty! The reason for 5 points instead of 6 is that the drinks were a bit on the expensive side, and for my sandwich, there wasn't a huge amount of filling, so it was a bit dry. However, our starters, and my partners main meal, were great! I'd definitely go back!

Great American style food - really generous portions too! Try the ribs, dynamite fries and beans, you will not be disappointed, I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic place to eat portions were massive, great experience kinda like a little taste of America in a all Scottish city,, will defo be back again.

Good food, big portions, however the place itself is quite small, interior is rushed with, not too much distance between tables, it feels a bit like fast/junk food type of place, like a pub but you go eat and leave.

Me and my partner visited bubbaq whilst on holiday in Edinburgh. The staff were nice and friendly, great atmosphere and the food was amazing. Quick service with a smile, we were made to feel very welcome.

Good size portions, "It is on" made it great value for money. Pint of beer could have been colder but as that was part of the deal I couldn't really grumble. Would definitely recommend.

Got a great deal with itison, no problem booking, they even changed our booking to an earlier time as we got into town earlier than expected. Staff were friendly, welcoming & efficient. Food was served quickly & piping hot, good quality & generous servings. Would definitely recommend & will be back 😃

Really good BBQ at long last north if the border, good service and good value for money meals so all round a place to go visit if your a BBQ fan. I had the pork sandwich and would recommend it.

Bubba Q is my favourite BBQ restaurant in Edinburgh! The food is delicious, the portions are huge and it's perfect for fussy eaters too .

For the price it's not bad, but I sent the ribs back as they tasted of firestarter blocks and were inedible. There is better BBQ out there.

Would have Been great if it said that there's steep stairs to the restuarant before hand. The tables where rather close together for my liking and definitely need to invest in cushions for the bench seats it was very uncomfortable especially when you suffer from chronic pain condition as it is. The food was great super yummy except the mac and cheese that lacked cheesiness completely it was bland it needs to be have cheese if it's mac n cheese. Also the brown paper at bottom of tray it's served in needs to be tougher or rethought completely because the juices from meat and greasy onions rings and sauces etc just made it rip while eating and I kept getting bits along with my food which is pretty annoying you don't want to eat paper and have fetch it out first when your enjoying good food!! Music was ace we loved the variety that was played. Never had room to enjoy milkshake maybe next time.

Burgers were great but service was slow and grumpy! Also, fries were poor for a restaurant like his. Ordered chilli fries and it was literally fries with some chilli sauce squirted on and some scattered chilli's. Worst I have ever had and certianly not worth the extra £1.50. All in all, good but won't go again. There are much better burgers and meat to be had.

Lovely burger, portions of side dishes huge! One fries would do 3 or 4 people!! Onion rings and coleslaw all lovely. Thick shakes were delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Had a voucher from Itison so half price meal too. Brisket was delicious. Sweet potato fries delicious too. Good portion size. Would return again.

Really good effort at Texan BBQ. Recommend it if you need a meat fix. Service was very efficient. Only areas for improvement are that there were too many tables crammed in and the toilets haven't had the same quality of renovation as the dining area. Should be heated better at a minimum.

me & my husband went there for the first time for one of our date nights,loved it,we had a starter,sharing platter,no room for pud but will be returning to try the burgers.

Amazing bbq food. We ordered the mixed bbq meats with two sides and it was really more than enough for two people (£25). Meat very tender, their sauces are really good and sides are also amazing. Really recommend it. Perfect for meat lovers

Great food, quick friendly service. Allowed us to change our booking without any problem. Pulled pork sandwich and boom boom burger were superb! Will definitely be back

The food was great and the atmosphere also very good - nice place. This is a great for a family dinner. Make sure you go hungry though!!

Great food, very very fresh! Staff were attentive. Could do with the lights being a bit dimmer for a bit more atmosphere, it's very bright! However this is a tiny issue, we'll definitely be back and have already recommended Bubba Q to friends!

My very fussy brother and I went tonight and both loved it! A really cool interior, good music and the food was amazing. You will leave well fed, and the bbq sauce is worth a visit alone. Tender meat and our favourites were the ribs, sausages and brisket - so tender and delicious. Ps. You will want to try a bubble waffle if you can fit it in, it was so tasty.

. The food was fantastic! Very generous portions, I couldn't even have a pudding (which is not like me!) Love the way the food was presented in the metal tray. Only negative is the size of the toilets! Could barley get in the cubicle the space is so tight and no room whatsoever at the area to dry your hands. That aside would highly reccomend, hope to visit again next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Absolutely loved our meal. The ribs were really tasty, but maybe not quite 'meaty' enough, but the brisket was simply outstanding. Big portions and great value for money and I will definitely be heading back soon.

Good menu and efficient service but food somewhat lacking in flavour. Burger very small, brisket underseasoned and onion rings slightly undercooked. I thought the music was great but a bit incongruous. Not near the standard of chains (e.g. Reds) but a few tweaks would see it much improved.

The food was absolutely beautiful not to mention the service was fast, and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try beautiful food.

Fantastic choice! The service was good, the food perfect, the price more than correct - we really enjoyed it! I really recommend the Dirty Donught hamburguer and the nachos.

We were seated promptly, drinks and food were served really quickly and the food was delicious. The only thing is that the menu was rather limited. Otherwise it was a lovely meal.

Great little place in the centre of town. Absolutely delicious food, great portions, great staff. We went on Friday night and service was quick. Their special bbq sauce is so delicious we took a tub home with us. Will definitely be back.
