Bubba Q

Bubba Q is a fantastic BBQ restaurant in Edinburgh. This place has a lovely cosy atmosphere, with friendly staff and an amazing range of food including burgers, platters and hot dogs. I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday evening around half 6. Even though the restaurant was quick busy, we were waited on promptly and recieved amazing service and food throughout our visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys BBQ food and brilliant value for money!

Best BBQ ever and their milkshakes are awesome too! Though not much more than chips, shakes and nachos for vegetarians but hey what do you expect from a BBQ restaurant?

Loved everything about our first visit.Quirky decor,lovely, attentive ,knowledgable ,waitresses.Food was perfectly cooked and presented,my mate Phil had the Brisket and I had the pulled pork which was so tender,it just fell apart.Drink prices are what you would expect on the high street, and the selection of beers and ciders was fine.Would I go back,you betcha,would I recommend it to friends ,absolutely :)

Great food, lovely decor, friendly staff, amazing value for money, Menu options were good couldn't recommend it any more. Overall good food great little restaurant

Very tasty! Massive portion! Shared the pitmaster and a starter! Was worth the money. Quite a small restaurant but okay if you book in advance!

Wonderful food! Fast efficient service! Would highly recommend to anyone! Small venue but is brilliantly located and makes for a cozy atmosphere! Hope to visit again soon

The food was great and the portions large. Good value for money. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and helpful in deciding on choices. Good place if you fancy a good old BBC meal.

Fabulous food. Server was extremely polite, helpful and very efficient. Couldn't eat all our food but were given It home for later. Highly recommended and will return

Great service and great food. The donut burger is a must try - it might sound like a weird mix buy it was absolutely delicious.

American restaurant with plenty of burgers to choose from. The pulled pork with mac and cheese and fries with cheese and chili were very good and you get a good portion of pork as well. I myself had this and my partner had a burger and it was enough for the both of us so unfortunately couldn't manage a pud!

Was super excited about Bubba Qs after hearing great things and on the whole it was fab! The only disappointing thing was the brisket was really dry and far from "melt in the mouth". The kids menu is great tho and excellent value for money!

We were looking forward to coming here, due to the rave reviews and the lovely looking pictures on Facebook. Sadly I was disappointed. The portion size was great, no problems there. But none of the food was overly tasty. We ordered the sharing plate, and most things on there tasted the same. It's saving grace was the brisket, which was softy and tasty as it should be. The ribs, chicken and sausages all had no colouring or flavouring. The beans, tasted like a can of baked beans with bbq sauce. The waitress was extremely efficient, but not very friendly at all. We sadly probably won't be returning.

Meal was absolutely delicious can't fault in any way. Portion was big couldn't believe why you got for your money will be recommending to friends and family

Excellent food though we ordered too much. Definitely going again! The music was good too. Only issue was how small the toilet cubicles were! But the whole place was really clean and the staff were lovely!

Great food ! Portions are massive! Would definitely recommend the South Carolinian barbecue sauce is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻!!!! The main meal with two sides is a lot of food but value for money!

We good. I did hwoever order dynamite fries as was given Cajuninstead but that was the only fault. other than that i would visit again.

Quick and good service but food was cold and mac n cheese was very bland when it arrived at the table. . . . .

Bon resto de barbecue. Cadre sympathique et service agréable. Les prix sont raisonnables. Nous avons pris des ribs qui étaient fondantes, accompagnées de frites et de coleslaw.

The menu looks good but in fact the food was very average. The Macaroni cheese was really bland and the pulled pork a bit dry. The only bit we enjoyed was the Cajun fries!

Chicken and sweet potatoe fries where nice.. mac and cheese so so but good value and amazing milkshakes! The waitresses where friendly but the male front of house seemed a bit dismissive

Fantastic food and drinks choice. Big portions (I slightly over ordered!) and good kids menu. Service could be friendlier though, that's why it's not 6 out of 6.

Good food, reasonably priced and good portion sizes for meat and sides. Ribs were very tasty as were the sweet potato fries and onion rings. Service was also good.

Food was insane, staff were very nice. great value for money and HUGE portions, very pleased with this restaurant. found the restaurant very easy to get to, doughnut burger was something else.

Food was great, portions were big, nice atmosphere & decoration. Marked down as it was v hot & staff had to repeatedly ask what we wanted as they couldn't here &/or understand. But would def go back!

Over priced for what you get. No lunch menu, but on website they had a lunch menu. Kids meal was ok for the money and my daughter never got her ice cream

Very tasty food and generous portions, could've had one side of fries between two but they were so tasty we had one each! Staff efficient and friendly enough, although we're not given any change from our bill, which I felt was a bit presumptuous. Maybe pay by card in future so I can decide for myself what to leave as a tip!

Lovely barbeque flavour of the 5 usuals; chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket, sausage and ribs, try the pitmaster platter which is one each of the 5 plus fries and 2 sides....not for the faint hearted more enjoyable shared with 2; small place so book your table. Service was good but could have been a bit more attentive; no one asked if the meal was ok and I had to wait to catch attention on several occasions for service. However the food is good plenty of it and well prepared; meat nice and juicy. Draught beers are not on the menu so if you are thirsty make sure you spot them at the bar.

fantastic restaurant.great food,great service. I had the hush puppies, and the original burger. The atmosphere is beautiful. Service is spot on. Can't fault the place.I will be back.

Delicious barbecue food. The doughnut burger is especially good! Good choice of beers, and top cheesy rock tunes on the jukebox. Also love the sweet potato fries and homemade coleslaw.

I will definitely be back, the staff were very polite and friendly. The food was amazing portion sizes unbelievable. A hidden gem in the heart of Edinburgh. You have to try it.

Great food. Excellent service and reasonable price. We will definitely be returning to bubba q in the near future. The brisket was amazing so was the bubble waffle for dessert.

Decor good , staff friendly , food was really good the only thing that lets it down and I'm being really picky is that the brisket was just marginally over cooked but otherwise great place !!

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food. Mouthwatering, fresh and packed full of flavour. Would recommend to anyone. Will be back soon. Pitmaster platter is a must try.

Excellent food, great portion size. Fantastic milkshake. Wont need to eat for days. Sevice was fast and friendly. Cant wait to go back and try the platter.

staff were fantastic, & best brisket iv tasted in Scotland. fried chicken was awesome also, you should definitely try a burger with big fillets with a cheese sauce, maybe some pickled cabbage. Looking forward to returning.

Amazing food, amazing value, amazing service. Simply amazing! Highly recommend the brisket and the pulled pork as mains, accompanied by the dynamite fries, Mac and cheese and the awesome beans.

Good atmosphere throughout the restaurant and very large portions! A little surprised that it was underground in a basement as this was not mentioned anywhere.

Delicious food .large potions burgers are amazing. Well woth a visit.will be back.used a wowcher voucher .would be happy to pay full price.trying the rack of ribs next time

Really good food, portions are huge! Not much chouce of wine though, but house red was decent. The spicey chicken wings certainly leave a tingle in the mouth.

Brisket was outstanding, the pulled pork was excellent and the portions were generous. Beware the dynamite fries, they will blow you up! In a good way!

Lovely meal. Perfectly cooked meat. The brisket was the best. It is a small place so book to avoid disappointment. It was quite quiet at 12.30pm but soon filled up. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
