Decided to try bubbaq while on a day trip to Edinburgh, having booked in advance as it was a Saturday night , thinking it would be busy, got the impression when we were seated that we really didn't need to bother as the upper section was empty. Staff were nice and friendly , showed us to a small table upstairs at the very back of the area and left us to make some choices. Once we had ordered food it was very quick to be served, abit too quick if I'm honest which for me is never a great sign. My partner ordered the death by bacon burger, with smothered fries and a coke , I ordered the bubbas tacos with smothered fries, side of onion rings and a Sprite. My partner liked his burger but wasnt impressed by the fries as they were warm, rather than hot. My soft shell tacos were filled with cajun chicken cubes, cold salsa, lettuce and non melted cheese on the top. The cold salsa and the lettuce made the chicken very luke warm and some of the chicken was rather dry also. I felt as though the it may have been sat under a heat lamp before being diced for the meal. The fries were warm, not hot, the onion rings however were fine ( hot and crunchy as expected ). Prices are abit steep for what you get, glad that they had the 20% off during January as I dont think I'd want to pay the regular prices. Nice enough place, decent staff, chilled environment, just a shame about the quailty of the food and the price attached to it. Maybe the menu needs abit to tweaking.

Interesting place to eat enjoyed my main( Death by Bacon). My starter( Chicken wings with Louisiana sauce) could have been better the wings did not have much meat tbh.

Awesome food for a group of visitors I had in town. I'd forgotten just how good bubbas is! Everything was delicious and we had great service from the lady serving us.

Visited Edinburugh for four days. Popped in for lunch and liked it so much we made a reservation and went back for dinner. The BBQ melt is unreal, highly recommend. The music though a bit too heavy metal for me.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was just not as amazing as the previous reviews led me to believe . The bbq wings were quite tasteless. The nachos were cheap and transparent , the cheese wasn’t even melted. Brisket on the burger was also not cooked properly either. All in all just a bit of a disappointment.

Absolutely love this place, highly recommend to everyone that’s wanting some good BBQ style food

Food was average, ordered & on the table within 5 minutes which is far to quick. Food was ok, servers had no personality. Wasn’t what we thought it would be having read reviews. Disappointed.

The service was very fast, the food was average and I would say very overpriced. However the cocktails are very nice but not sure I would visit again unless for nibbles instead of a meal

Sausages were missing from platter dish however the rest of the experience was first class.

Great food something a bit different from the normal American bbq food . The restaurant put there own little twist to there dishes which was good. The only thing was when I used the men’s toilet it was really small only 2 cubicles . You had to wait outside till the other people were finished using the toilet. You could hardly swing a cat in the toilet.

Second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the highlights of Edinburgh for us. Always look forward to this place when we visit. Portions are large but the quality isn’t compromised. Service times are great and the staff are polite. Really enjoyed it,

Generally excellent food again, but bits of the brisket were a little tough. This won't put us off this great restaurant though!

We had been at light the light at Edinburgh cask it was absolutely freezing cold. It was so nice to come in for dinner and taste the beautiful food so warming.
