It is ok . not value for money , waited too long mean course,
Sampled a number of small plates and entrees so our friends could try different Indian dishes. Everything was superb, but Chef Dipna provided extraordinarily delicious Chicken Pakoras, Papri Chaat, Chicken Keema, and Dal Makhani. The service was excellent and friendly. Highly recommend the restaurant or any event catered by Dipna Anand!
As always the food did not disappoint. The chilli chicken, Lamb kebabs followed by palak lamb and roti’s were delicious
Great place, one of my faves since moving to London but was disappointed by the lamb, it was dry and we asked for spicy, it got sent back and they just added way too much chilli and it was not worth the money. Drinks and waiters were great, so was most of the food.
The food was good but too many tables too close to each other and very noisy. This is a very old and established restaurant and yet it feels like like the more the merrier - disappointed.
Always a great dining experience with friendly and attentive staff
Excellent food. Excellent service. The owner treated us with great respect and personally sorted the menu. Will go there again and again.
Really impressed with the food, staff and the decor. I live an hour away but well worth the travel.
Service was very slow and food was watered down and bland.
The overall service and food was excellent. It was just abit noisy at times - but the restaurant was very busy and full.
Looking for a nice restaurant to go to and a last minute search for "Top Indian Restaurants' in London meant this restaurant came up. It had glowing reviews, delicious pictures and as it was close by meant this was a perfect choice. Service and food couldn't have been better. A lovely atmosphere. The staff were so accommodating, polite, friendly but not intrusive. The food was absolutely amazing. A great last minute fine. Would recommend and would return.
Very good food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly waiting staff, definitely will return
Top equality food and excellent service will not go wrong in this establishment. Top Mark's to them all involved.
Me and the family had a great experience dining at Brilliant restaurant, the staff were very helpful and attentive and the food was amazing, thank you to everyone at Brilliant.
Great service and excellent food, but bit overpriced for what you get on the plate.
We had high expectations for Brilliant especially after seen them on Gordan Ramsay's episode however food did not match our expectations. Food was good but was similar to what we would get in any other average indian restaurant. We didnt feel Indian authentic taste as we expected
Great food and service. The staff are friendly. Lovely experience.
Lovely food and staff were very good. I would recommend this restaurant
Nice restaurant but didn't seem able to cope with a rush of people. Had to ask three times for water, requested another plate and it never arrived. Found the food to be quite salty too.
Delicious food and great service every time. Tables a little close today is the only criticism I would have.
It never fails to produce the best food by miles!
We ordered butter chicken, karahi lamb and kids chicken and black dal. With parathas and rice. Good tasty food and service was excellent.
I have been deeply disappointed in the standard of UK Asian restaurants for 30 years, this is the only Asian restaurant that has authentic dishes and a 5* service.
We were three, we had good food and good friendly service, a great atmosphere as well. Will definitely come back with the same and different friends.
Brilliant has always delivered great food with service to match. What a delicious supper. Spiced perfection. Enjoyed immensely by my Italian guest. Thanks to the team.
Booked through Quandoo and for the 2nd time at this particular restaurant, no knowledge of the booking and my special requests(husband's 50th) for the table not met. Had invited 8 guests and the night could have been a complete disaster but they found us a table. Service very slow and had to ask for menus 3 times before any came (20 minutes after arrival). Tried to call waiters over several times and finally almost an hour after arriving, the owner himself came along and took our order. Food very good as always but poor and disorganised service let us down.
Great food, great service. Favourite of my wife’s. Nice for lunch because it’s not so busy. Very accommodating and good of them to let us know that there’s wine in Fulham now too!
The food was good as was the service. Will definitely return again. My favourite dish was the king prawn masala curry and the only scepticism was the tandoori fish was slightly overdone.
Excellent food and hospitality. Will definitely be returning for our special occasions. My daughter was given a special birthday treat and there was a great atmosphere with young and old equally welcomed.
Was advertised online as being open, but received a telephone call from the restaurant shortly after saying they were closed. My issue is with the restaurant staff member who phoned. He was rude & uninterested when I advised him of the online availability.
I booked this restaurant as a present for my friends birthday, we were staying near Heathrow for a couple of nights. The major reviews were good and the backing of Gordon Ramsey heavily persuaded me to make Brilliant my choice from thousands of other restaurants in and around London! On entering the restaurant there was no warm welcome, I gave my reservation details and was shown to a table without even a hello. As lovers of Indian food we were very surprised to find ourselves struggling with the menu choices, I read that there was an African slant on the cooking and decided that was the reason for the options on offer and I should have properly checked the menu before booking. Our order was taken and we started with poppadoms, onion barji and sheekh kebab. A very disappointing start, the poppadoms were not the large lightly tasting ones we have become accustomed to in the Indian restaurants throughout the Midlands but more like ones you buy ready to eat from a supermarket! The mint sauce was more like the mint sauce served with British roast lamb on a Sunday, vinegar and mint no smooth taste from yoghurt. Ok we must accept this is not your usual Indian Restaurant this is award winning with a different menu to the norm. The onion bhaji (Bhajia Mix) was amazing, the best we had ever tasted, I started eating it because my starter did not arrive for a further 7 minutes! Sadly when the sheesh kebab did arrive it was very disappointing and neither of us liked it, there seemed to be minimal seasoning and tasted purely of lamb. Main course was served a chicken biryani but dry with no sauce, apparently they don’t serve it with a sauce anymore yet my friend asked for a hot sauce on ordering and the waiter never informed her there was no sauce! The rice and chicken was tasty, even better when the kitchen knocked up a sauce. Mine was chicken karahi, the chicken was very tender and I did enjoy it. We finished our meal and paid the bill, there was no acknowledgement of my friends special birthday despite me having informed the restaurant on booking and hinting further during our meal. There were no after dinner mints or something served with the bill, no “brilliant” touches that you receive in non award winning Indian restaurants! We will not be rushing back or recommending, perhaps our expectations were too high just like our bill!
Excellent service and food. Use of Quandoo was pointless, reservation was never confirmed and the restaurant asked me to send an email on the Friday we were due to visit with the details of the booking we wanted so they could reserve a table.
Me and my family been coming for over 10 years and have always enjoyed the food. Visiting from Canada this time round and had to come back to enjoy another good meal
Just brilliant! Just for people who don‘t like it to spicy it‘s a little challenge;) we will always come back... Thank‘s dipna for another wonderful evening
The food at this restaurant has been excellent for the last 35 years that I have visited it. The decor has gone up market as has the presentation but the food is superb. The jeera chicken starter is a must order. The makhni daal, the mattar paneer and the masala chicken are excellent and the bhaturra (thick fried puris) the best. The water must have overheard it was my birthday as at teh end of the meal they played happy birthday and the table got an indoor firework candle to to shower us with. Now that's service!
Pleasant evening, helpful waiter and lovely food. Location always a challenge to get to due to traffic and on street parking looked free after 6pm. Would recommend
Amazing food and good service. will visit again ! .. the staff were brilliant and the atmosphere was very welcoming. the food menu has variety of choices too. !
Brilliant lived up to its name. We had the best Indian meal for a long time. The Tandoori chicken and lamb chops the best. Great service too.
Gorgeous food as usual. Best Indian restaurant we’ve eaten in and we’ve tried lots. We had a mixture of grilled meats and a prawn curry. So yummy. Great customer service by Dipna
Food was fantastic and service was flawless! Me and my partner felt like Vips! However we felt a little overdressed, we expected a quieter more romantic feel and atmosphere, but it felt more like a cafe...would still go back though, not as overdressed though! :)
The food and service was to a high standard and we would go back on special occasions as well as recommend " The Brilliant" to our family and friends.
Brilliant restaurant in Southall offers lovely spicy food. I particularly enjoyed the Tandoori La‐Jawab Prawns starter and the Keema peas bowl. All the other dishes were very tasty although not quite as spicy hot as requested by my husband who likes really (really) hot food. The service was excellent and the ambiance very pleasant. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend.
What can I say DISGUSTED. Booked table for 7.30 and confirmed received a call earliest time 9.00 pm what nonsense no feasible explanation was given to me Never use this restaurant
Food was excellent i would come back... Service was excellent....but could be bit faster...staff so friendly and looked after... I would recommend to my friends and family
Visted this restaurant several times. Always get very friendly staff providing excellent service. Food does not fail our expectations. We had our granddaughter's birthday celebrations here and all the guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and were very impressed with the service. Well done keep it up.
