I brought my daughter to the restaurant for her birthday and before we went up the Shard. We had a wonderful lunch and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. My daughter was delighted when she was given a piece of chocolate pie with a candle in it and 4 members of staff sang happy birthday to her! A really memorable lunch. Thank you.

Table was ready and organised for our party. Waiters were hospitable, food was tasty and creative. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and never felt rushes or ignored.

Lovely Private room for Monday morning breakfast, had some trouble with our order as the delivery hadn't come in but not a big issue, waiter very friendly and attentive, think he may have been new. would go back probably for lunch or dinner.

Lovely service. Tasty vegetarian options but my side salad was gritty as if unwashed. Good value for money with the 2 for 1 across 3 courses offer.

I was actually disappointed. It felt more like a pub than a restaurant. I like the idea of an open kitchen but I was overwhelmed with the smell of burning food and came out smelling like a kitchen. The atmosphere was not 'restauranty' and I felt more like I was in a pub. Good service but I felt like the place was pretending to be a restaurant rather than actually being one.

Good atmosphere and lovely food (mushroom starter and ox cheeks main - delicious). Most of the customers were business people but I was there with my family (including 14 and 11 year olds) and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely amazing experience! A nice atmosphere and decor, attentive staff, delicious food, which is well presented. It is clear that the staff are passionate about what they do. A restaurant experience I would recommend to anyone who values good quality food and service. I will certainly be be back! Thank you once again.

Really great food. Friendly & efficient service. Pleasant surprise of being given a private room for large party. Only issue was side dishes did not arrive with main, but not charged for them & really didn't detract from experience or overall quality of food & service.

Food and service was as usual very good. Menu selection is excellent and they will adopt most dishes for those with dietary needs. The music was a little too loud for easy conversation.

The food was great but, despite booking in advance, breakfast took well over an hour to come. That said, there were 11 of us and, as I said, the food was very good.

Lovely staff, nice gestures such as bringing more ice for the water half way through the evening. slight error made by serving the pre dinner nibbles at the same time as the starter. overall excellent meal and a very enthusiastic approach with the birthday cake we brought in with us.

We wanted somewhere to eat near the Shard and this restaurant was one of the 'linked' ones to the Shard Viewing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent with some interesting twists on 'traditional' dishes. Portions were a little small for my liking but I enjoy my food!. Service was excellent being both attentive and friendly with the correct mix of professionalism. Even with the 2 4 1 deal on the Mains we managed to spend about £100 inclusive of drinks before, wine, digestive and coffee but felt it was well worth it. There is a fixed price lunch menu which was good value as well. We will be back next time we are in the vicinity

Everything about this evening was perfect. From staff, food, ambience to cost...it was perfect. There were 9 in the party and the restaurant coped perfectly. We will definitely be going again.

The restaurant really lived up to our expectations from the website; excellent service, food and atmosphere. And reasonable prices - particularly with the '2 for 1' offer from 'The View from the Shard'. We would definitely go there again.

Great food. The duck confit was particularly good. Service was excellent, really friendly staff and helped us make menu choices where uncertain. A really good atmosphere, especially after reading about their community support scheme training people to get off the streets and into work. I'll definitely return next time I'm back in London.

We visited the Brigade on 1 August to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were efficient and attentive from when we entered. The food was sublime, especially the milk chocolate pudding, which my wife now wants me to recreate!! Thanks to everyone at the Brigade for an enjoyable evening.

Charming staff, good atmosphere, interesting flavour combinations, wicked chocolate dessert - literally as well as metaphorically! Overall, good value. Supporting a worthwhile initiative by enjoying good eating the extra constituent, which will mean recommending eating here to others.

This is quite a nice little bistro, with a good menu and friendly staff. I had the grey mullet and my wife had salmon; we both enjoyed our meals. Some might quibble with the veg being charged separately and service already added onto the bill, but I didn't leave feeling like I'd been mugged.

The food at Brigade is always good, but the service is fantastic, and really makes an evening there special, even a rainy Tuesday night after work!

Service and food was perfect. It was nice we sat close to the open kitchen so that you could see the chef at work! Very clean would deffantly recommend and go back. The only floor is it could do with a bit of fire station equipment to give of but of character to the old fire station.
