Excellent old fashioned and well prepared with a buzzy atmosphere and great attentive service. Seating a bit close to others. Fairly expensive but a good house wine.

Although we dined on a quiet evening, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was exceptional and the food far exceeded expectations. The freshly made Tiramisu capped of a most enjoyable meal.

Excellent classic "City" restaurant. They know enough to leave you alone if you are talking business, but the service is quick and good if you you have limited time.

A bit like stepping back in time to the City of 20 years ago - but sometimes that is what you want. First class service delivered with warmth and genuine customer focus. Wide choice on the menu and good food delivered. Definitely would return.

I had the lamb special which was inedible. It looked like bad KFC. I wouldn't reccomend to anyone. The service was also quite rude at times.

We attended for a busy lunch time service. Despite this the service was very friendly, accurate and wasn't too rushed. They coped well with a coeliac vegetarian guest too.

As always an excellent lunch and attentive service. This is a reliable choice for lunch in the city where so many establishments are very variable in their quality.

Excellent Italian restaurant, well placed right in the back of Lloyd's building so perfect for a business lunch. Being an Italian I can guaratee that the food quality is equal to the one you coul get in any good restaurant in Italy.

As always an amazing service and amazing food! I will definitely be coming back to Boltons! The lobster linguine is a must have on the menu!

Quite an unassuming place from the outside but a good quality Italian dining experience inside. Service I should excellent, food is delicious and the experience is lively and fulfilling. It's pricy but decent.

Traditional Italian in the heart of the city. Warm welcome, great atmosphere good food and would highly recommend. Went for a business lunch for 6 persons and will book again. Waiting staff were excellent and couldn't fault.

Food, service and ambiance always superb. It was very busy and the private dining room was used as an overflow but the people in there didn't seem to mind.

The welcome by the staff at this restaurant is always a delightful part of the experience. The waiters all have a good sense of humour and looked after us very well. The food was excellent too. Overall a very pleasant dining experience, I shall be going back for sure.

Busy, loads of atmosphere. Excellent food & service. Air con very cool on our shoulders & necks whilst sitting in the Upper level, although understandably, very necessary. Next time would book table on lower level.

Not cheap, but lovely food. Prompt and courteous service. Quite cramped environment, but not as bad as some other venues! A first visit, but probably won't be my last.

Really like this place for a mixture of good food (I had asparagus with parmesan, dover sole and a few fresh juicy strawberries and a coffee to finish), washed down with a nice Gavi di Gavi, attentive service (lots of smiling italian waiters) and buzzing lunchtime city vibe.

Another excellent meal at what must now be my favourite restaurant. My first try in the evening. Great to find the familiar faces from lunchtime and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Lovely food, well served and an excellent wine!

Very convenient for those in the City. This was my second visit. Very welcoming on entry, and attentive but not too attentive service. Food was of a high quality - lovely in fact. Good ambience and pleasant décor and surroundings. Would definitely go again. Made to feel you mattered as a customer.

I was told that this was a great restaurant.....but it was even better than my expectations. Everything was wonderful. I thought the Dover sole was going to be hard to beat....but the pepper steak did!

Food was good but a bit overly priced. I was asked if I would like some vegetables at the side of my meal and I chose broccoli out of the few types of vegetables there was and I was given one and a half florets. Not impressed when I look at the bill. They charged £3 for the broccoli and on top of that there was also a cover charge of £2.50 for booking the table. When I booked the table online, I requested in the special request box for a small birthday surprise arrangement for the birthday person I was having lunch with but nothing was arranged. Very disappointed!

Absolutely first class. The best food in the City but A1 service also. This is the best Italian restaurant in the City of Londo by a long way.

Not the cheapest restaurant of this type but it is a popular place with a regular client base - you are always welcomed and food is rarely disappointing

Very disappointed. Been here many times before but they obviously have a new chef who has no idea what ingredients are in a beef stroganoff and had possibly confused it with goulash.

It's been a while since I went to Bolton's but happy to see that nothing (absolutely nothing) has changed - great food, great service (attentive but not bothersome) and tables far enough apart to be able to hold a conversation but close enough to create a lively atmosphere.
