Nice, if simple, basic good quality food and v friendly service in a nice surrounding, have been a couple times now. Consistent good standard
Very welcoming and attentive service. Restaurant was quiet when we arrived but soon filled up. Perfectly situated for our theatre visit. Food was good and flavoursome. Particularly enjoyed the moules mariniere.
Fantastic dining experience. Lovely food reasonable prices and staff couldn't do enough for us. I go here pretty much every time I go to London now as it's always a wonderful experience
excellent service - excellent food and a great experience - one of our favourite haunts - we shall return soon - staff always very friendly - attentive but never obtrusive
Excellent, as always. We always go here pre-theatre as the staff have the timing for the 3 courses down to a fine art. Would recommend.
We visit regularly. The food is always excellent, amazing value and the Bistro has a very pleasing ambiance. It is becoming more and more popular so booking is advisable.
as ever excellent value for central London with a varied menu. I needed to be in and out within about 40 minutes (my choice) but service was so quick that was no problem
Brilliant .... will be going again next time we are in town. Mark & Marcella
Very friendly with a wide choice on the menu. Good value for money although I did not get the 20% discount offered when booking on line (possibly an over-sight). Will visit again
Lovely friendly staff and really tasty good value for money food
The service was up to it's usual high standard and the food excellent food especially the tirasumu. Very friendly and attentive - we shall return again in the near future
Lovely food, very fair pricing. Good, friendly service. Good variety to choose from. One of my favorite restaurants. A lovely London gem. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing food, good service, lovely atmosphere and authentic decoration. I had the meze and veg moussaka and they were both really tasty
We really enjoyed our evening, very good selection of starters and mains and generous portions too. Bistro1 is excellent value for money and can definitely recommend!
excellent food and very good value - have eaten before in a Bistro but that just off the Strand in Covent Garden. Will definitely make a return visit
Excellent food, brilliant service. So friendly and warm. Great prices too! The staff are excellent and quick. Relaxed atmosphere which makes for a great night out
Always good value and freshly prepared food - will be back!
Delicious homemade-ish food, and friendly, laid-back service from the waiters. Menu with plenty of options to choose from and there's something for everyone. Overall, great value for money. Will definitely come back soon.
Service was excellent, the staff were very attentive and once we decided to order, the food arrived very promptly. I am a vegetarian, the restaurant is probably more geared to meat and fish eaters. My friends seemed to be very satisfied with their dishes but to be honest, my vegetarian choices were just a little dull, but that might have been the fault of my choices. Overall, we had a lovely dinner at Bistro 1 and headed off to Ronnie Scott's a few steps away.
I use this restaurant frequently but it was the first time I had the calamari. sadly it wasn't crunchy but very soft and a bit undercooked. My main was the steak which was quite rare for a medium request. Nevertheless a good value restaurant with a decent choice of wine.
Overall,it was a very nice meal. Quite good value for money.
Staff very friendly and welcoming and the service was fine - but the food was frankly inedible. We each ordered crepes with spinach and goats cheese which sounded great, conjuring up a vision of a crepes filled with a creamy spinach and goat cheese filling. What we got was a single pancake containing a bed of spinach topped with a thick slice of cold goats cheese - Ugh!
I've now eaten at Frith Street twice. I rate overall experience as 6 - fantastic food, good staff, pleasant ambience - great for a day out in London. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend - p.s. like the lamps in the restaurant - very attractive!
Great food with a wide variety of choice, incredibly helpful and friendly staff who were not upset when we arrived 15 minutes late for our booked table on Valentine's day, brilliant service all at a reasonable price. Thank you .
lovely little bistro with very good service... excellent value for money. This is the west end and you would expect to pay so much more
Good menu, reasonable prices, excellent service. Our regular pre theatre venue
Tasty food, good value for money, and all set in a wonderfully decorated restaurant. It was very busy, so booking a table would be necessary.
Amazing place amazing food amazing service. I would recommend it to anyone. Simply awesome
Great value and good food in Central location. Coped with change of booking numbers and guests arriving at different times. Allowed to plenty of time to sit and chat after our meal.
Lovely Food and service. You can pay twice the price in Soho but not have a better experience. We will definitely be going there again.
A delightful dining experience. Excellent food with very extensive choice of menu. Attentive staff. Great decor/ambience, could not fault and will definitely return when next in London.
This is a restaurant I use maybe 12 times a year. The standard is always reasonable and you can depend on a decent meal, decently priced. Service is pleasant and the only complaint would be there's not much room with tables so close together.
Lovely meal there was nine of us food served promptly everything was really good. Loved the lighting
I have visited your branch in Covent Garden and enjoyed the expereince so when coming to London to see 'Once' with my family thought your Frith Street branch would be a good place to visit. We all enjoyed the meal; it was good value for money and the staff were attentive. Thank you.
Lovely meal, lovely ambience, excellent location....good choice on the menu however found the taste a little bland ( our part had the sea bream and beef )
In the heart of the west end it's difficult to find a cheap restaurant. This one is a gem cheap but most importantly food is good and an added bonus the wine is cheap too would definitely recommend.
An ok bistro. Food was not fantastic but service good and great location. The red wine was served way too warm. You can not expect too much considering the price of food.
Great place always a great experience. I have celebrate my bday and usually meet friends for dinner or anytime of the year. all the best
I've been coming here for years, great prices and even better service. Many thanks for looking after us again, see you soon I hope :-)
Nice atmosphere, good food, good service at good prices. I was very impressed with the mussels and the shish kabob. It felt like a neighbourhood restaurant.
I've been to all three Bistro1 restaurants in London and I absolutely love them - very good food for a small price in central areas. Highly recommended!
Spot on ,we have eaten there several times now, very close to theatre land. Service very quick and atendtive.3 course meal very good vaule and a large choice to choose from.
Fab food as usual and such good value keep on doing what your doing. The better one for me is the Frith Street branch and so convenient
We eat at Bistro1 every time we visit London. Good food, good value&service. Close to the theatres too. We highly recommend the chain of restaurants.
We were a party of 6 and made to feel very welcome by efficient and warm staff. Food was excellent, sardines as good as my previous meal here. My sea bream main course was also cooked just right. Value for money is outstanding. A great place
After an horrorendous day in London we had a very calming and enjoyable meal at the Bistro.
We have been going to Bistro 1 many years now, whenever we have a trip down to London. The service and food is wonderful. I recommend Bistro 1 to everyone who is going London for the theatre or just to visit. Well done and a big thank you from our party of 10, we were late but we still managed 3 relaxed courses and made it to the theatre on time.
The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were perfect for a pre-theatre meal. My only slight issue was we were seated too close to other tables and therefore had to get up each time they wished to get out. There was no sense of personal space as we could all hear each other's conversations as if we were all dining together.
We were very happy with the service we received from the staff and the food was very good - would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Staff were charming. The menu was varied enough to satisfy everyone, without making choices too hard. The sardines were cooked perfectly and really tasty. Other starters of calamari and borek also praised. Sea bream was again cooked just right, chicken escalope was a little overcooked, breadcrumbs too crispy, but small point. Value for money was outstanding. Have already rebooked. Well done Bistro 1
