Belgo – Noord is the first and original restaurant of this iconic European chain, with some very unique traits. This Camden restaurant and bar boasts an interpretation of a European brewery dining hall with rendered concrete walls designed by Anand Zenz, as well as an extension by Ron Arad that doubles capacity and features acid-etched steel and plywood beams, a glass roof and an amoeba-shaped bar. Located only a short distance from the iconic Camden Markets and Roundhouse Theatre, London’s Belgo – Noord is a Belgian dining haven for lovers of quality food and delicious beers. As the first and original branch in what has become one of the most iconic restaurants brands serving Belgian cuisine, Belgo – Noord is a London dining experience well worth a try. Not only is this Camden space designed with a great amount of attention and effort, but its menu showcases the best of Belgian cuisine. Kick things off with the king prawns served with mango, chilli and red onion salsa, mussel popcorn served with aioli and croquettes filled with pulled pork and piccalilli. Washed down with a beer or two, of course.

Then, for mussel fans, this is where Belgo really shines. You can choose to have them served in a traditional Belgian pot, bowl or on a platter, with a selection of flavours that are very tempting indeed. Our favourites include the traditional pot cooked with garlic and white wine and served with frites or bread; the Belgian-style bowl with smoked pancetta, Belgo Wit beer, shallots, garlic and potatoes, or the platter topped with creamy blue cheese and leeks. The best thing is that these mussels–sourced from Shetland Islands–are all sustainable and rope-grown. With so much more on offer, including over 50 Belgian craft beers, you’ll be in for a meal to remember at London’s Belgo – Noord.
