Very friendly staff and good quality food for a chain. Highly recommended.
Made very welcome. Celebrating our daughters 50th birthday. Balloons on back of chair and they sang Happy Birthday to her with a candle in the dessert. Food good. Atmosphere good. A very enjoyable evening.
Visited in the afternoon so on 2 other people eating. Food was lovely, service was attentive but restaurant needs a revamp. The decor looked tired and the bench seating was flat, worn and split exposing the foam
Our party arrived before the 8pm reservation. Ordered a round of drinks and a bottle of wine. Wine arrived but had to remind waiter about the drinks. Had to re-remind about the bottle of water. Food took an hour to arrive. Starters ok. Avoid the fish and chips, arrived dry and unappetising. Lamb shank ok. At this point almost lost the will to live. Only one pudding ordered with coffee. Service very slow. Restaurant not busy but food took an age to arrive. Not the Belgo restaurant we’d been in before. Disappointed, not coming back here, competition so much better. Really need to up their game!
good food, friendly service and little waiting time. Enjoyable experience.
Friendly staff although a little slow in serving you. I found the food reasonably priced but mediocre
Great food, service, timing and quality. Ideal for business or personal get togethers/meeting
Great moules frites, very enjoyable meal. Oddly slow service and I was surprised to find the restaurant could use some touching up. In fact this used to be called The Abbey, also a Belgian bar restaurant and its clear that once Belgos took over they literally applied a coat of emulsion paint on everything (including the tiles) and changed the logos, this thin veneer is now flaking off, I was rather expecting the place to have be renovated in some way as the previous place was getting rough around the edges.
A tenth birthday party for my daughter - well taken care off
Walked in, the place looked run down and dirty. Staff members looked like they didn't have any personal hygiene. There was lots of people around the bar and only one person at the bar at the time. We were not greeted, had to ask for our menu and mentioned we had booked a table. I had booked the alcarte menu and no one run through the menu with us. We sat there for five minutes, no one seemed to be coming over to any of the tables and it looked like the staff members were rushing all over the place and not really knowing what they were meant to be doing. We decided not to order and left. Was really disappointed as we were looking forward to trying the food.
It’s was perfect , staff were lovely , food and beer great and they looked after the youngest(3) and the oldest ( 80+ ) with same care
Very good cocktails and very good service. Sadly No waffles.
Lovely food. Fantastic service! Looking forward to the next visit.
We were seated quickly and given enough time to look through the menu and decide what we were going to have. We felt the cost of drinks to be very high but the food prices were acceptable for a special occassion. It can get a little noisy in there when the restaurant get busier. Overall we had a nice evening with nice food.
everybody happy with filling meal. Between the seven of us we had moules, spare ribs, sirloin steak and toulouse sausages after a shared platter of starters. some had desserts, others coffee to end off. Waitress did a fine job
Generous meals, varied menu, I had meatballs in red wine sauce, followed by sharing chocolate fondue delicious! Relaxed atmosphere, and great service. Having eaten here before I can say the food and service are consistently good.
I normally have the mussels when I visit Belgo however on this occasion I decided to have them as a starter and try the ribs from the new menu as the main. The ribs were fantastic, I will be having them again. The waitress was very friendly and the service was very good.
pleasant, quick service. good food although on the pricey side even with kids eat free. delicious speculoos filled mini doughnuts! will be back again I'm sure
Staff were friendly and responsive. i loved the option for children to eat free. my son and I will definitely be back again soon :)
I ordered the venison burger. I have no idea what they had done to the meat but it was like a manufactured piece of something!! Couldn’t get a knife through it as it was like rubber and when I did manage to cut off a piece it squeaked in the mouth. Just rubbish food why would you serve that. I reordered a beef burger that was better. Won’t be going back.
Great beer, new lunchtime menu. Could do with option of desert instead of only starters. Prompt service, clean and tidy, unfortunately I have to answer my review in 25 words
Moules are excellent! Would highly recommend for dinner or lunch. Yet to try the Rotisserie Chicken, however it did look delicious too! See you again soon Belgos
Our waitress was friendly but under strain which meant some of the order arrived wrong. One of the party waited over 20 mins for her correct meal to come and we had to chase a few missing items. The food was good, hot and tasty and the waffle was lovely.
Very enjoyable evening - very good food and, obviously, excellent beer. Can be a very noisy place on busy nights due to the acoustics but otherwise highly recommended.
