Proprietors Stanley and Kate have lovingly converted an old public house down Leamington Spa’s Chandos Street into a chic Chinese dining room, with stylish furniture carefully selected and imported from China to complement the modern Chinese cuisine on offer. It’s all detailed leather furniture and black glass, and the food is just as seductive. Been also caters to parties of up to 20 people looking for private dining.

Been Restaurant’s lunch menu, served from noon until 2:30pm, gets started with their popular dim sum. Specialties like the crispy aromatic duck, beef in black bean sauce, or king prawn omelette are all available at incredibly affordable prices. There’s the odd pan-Asian dish to be found here, too. Been’s dinner menu is even more interesting. The range of courses is magnificent, with starters like the Capital spare ribs worthy of an authentic Beijing restaurant. Middle courses and soups make way for a huge selection of vegetarian, beef, chicken, pork, and seafood dishes, not to mention the rice and noodles selection.
