Had a lovely meal here. Chicken shish with yoghurt, rice and salad. Dessert was caramel ice cream sundae. Service was excellent. Cleaned table between courses. Friendly, polite staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious food and good portions. Warm and comfortable. There was a very noisy drunken party at the back of the resturant on their Christmas work do but we didn't let it spoil our meal. Finished in good time to get to the theatre to see a panto 🙂. Good value. Would go again!

Just as a personal preference, we found the bar area quite noisy which slightly lessened our enjoyment. However, we were very pleased for the new owner that trade was fairly busy,he deserves to do well.😁

I drive past this restaurant so often and always see how busy it is inside but haven’t been till now. I booked a table for myself and 2 friends. We ordered starters and mains. The portion sizes are generous and value for money. I found that we all took left overs home. A live singer was also in the restaurant. I think the venue is too small for how loud they were and it prevented myself and others from being able to talk while we ate. The speakers were really big and the sound was too much. Singing was great-just too loud for how small the restaurant is. The bill was wrong a few times but we laughed it off and waited for them to rectify their mistake. I would go again but not on a night with live entertainment.

Lovely restaurant, food was delicious as always but my only niggle was the singer & music were too loud and it was quite difficult to talk.

We had our first visit to Barru this evening and we cannot fault a thing. Delicious food and amazing hospitality, we are really looking forward to returning. Our waiter who I think was the manager was so warm, friendly and welcoming and we didn't feel rushed at all. If we hadn't of had plans for the evening we would have happily stayed. Thank you for being one of those rare restaurants where you arrive as customers and leave feeling like friends.

Been a number of times and always had a great meal. Very relaxed and always feel extremely welcome, staff can’t help enough and willing to accommodate any requests. Highly recommend.
