Slow service, main seafood grill dish wasn’t great (and squid was undercooked). Side order of Zucchini was offered for free as it was over cooked...
Excellent pre theatre meal. Choice of 4 or 5 starters and Mains plus desserts if you hAve enough room! We had the fish cake and then the pasta with aubergine. Both beautifully cooked with attentive, but not rushed, service. I would thoroughly recommend
We went for pre theatre lunch. Food was very tasty - we had excellent, fast and courteous service - it was a great experience. Thanks a lot
Kitchen not open when we arrived food good but not hot, plates cold, service fair. It was a good restaurant in the past but not so good now.
I assume green/6 is the best rating. We four had a most enjoyable meal and an excellent bottle of,I think,Sicilian Grillo, pity about the traffic noise, but it would be difficult to do anything about that.
Staff were lovely but not enough of them so service was really slow. food was ok- I loved mine- but one of the party was disappointed with their main, all deserts were delicious!
Food Ok but not the best. Fish served with potatoes and little else. Service slow even though the restaurant was quiet. Not cheap and lacked the extra touches that would make it great.
Lovely food and brilliant service, very welcoming and let us choose where to sit. Great for a quick lunch as we didn’t have to wait too long for food to come.
Great food, wine and service. Always a nice place to spend the evening when in Richmond. A little gem. Good location by the train station and bus hub and of course the pub. Give it a try!
Excellent as always. Food and service impeccable and a cut above most other Richmond eateries. Butterflied prawns, liver and bacon and chocolate cake - what more is there to live for?
Lovely restaurant to visit on a sunny spring evening. We all enjoyed our food and the excellent wine. Good choices for vegetarians. Delicious pudding. Easy to get to by public transport.
Lovely setting friendly well informed staff starter calamares perfect followed by sea bass served with roasted vegetables definitely recommend great value for money
Great location for a business lunch with nice food and wine. Not cheap but good quality. I had the scallops - minimalistic, only three, but delicious. Service was very good, too.
Great place, friendly staff, good food... Enjoyed the set menu & a very nice bottle of wine. Ideal for OrangeTree Theatre. Will definitely go again.
It was OK.I have been there a few times and notice that the more you spend, the nicer they are to you. Also pricing of side dishes is disproportionate- £3.50 for a tiny side of spinach which appears to be the baby spinach from a plastic bag- can't have cost them more than 20 p. I noticed that at least one of our dishes appeared on the menu at a slightly lower price than what turned up on the bill but you're not going to quibble about 50p- still it is annoying. It's counterproductive to do this sort of thing because it makes the customer feel less inclined to go back. Food was fine, nothing special though.
Good food, quick service, good ambiance, will def return. Good food, quick service, good ambiance, will def return. Good food, quick service, good ambiance, will def return.
They didnot have some of the food in their menus which we wanted it . No steak , no cheese cake They Brought the foods very late . After 1 hour and 15 mins
Lovely meal. Lacked atmosphere though but that could have been due to the time we went but it was Saturday lunch and we were the only people in the restaurant which was odd as food was really good
Great range of delicious food, friendly attentive service and quiet table... what could be better? Have been to Bacco a few times and will certainly be returning in the future.
We had an early evening of cooking for 2, arrived there early and were easily seated. Both food and wine were amazing. Great recommendation from our waiter and great service too.
Good food - pan-fried scallops, followed by linguine alla vongole and a delicious panna cotta. Good service from our charming waitress and very good wines, especially the Dindarello. Enjoy!
Attentive service and delightful food in an intimate setting. The spaghetti alla vongole was superb; perfectly salty, garlicky and spicy. The staff recommended a great organic red when asked.
All four of us chose from the three-course set meal ... friendly staff, good selection, beautifully prepared and very tasty ... great pre-theater restaurant ... thanks - we'll be back! :-)
Fantastic food, very authentic and delightful ! Great service . Was a memorable experience , I will definitely recommend it ! Thank you ! . .
Great restaurant. Good food and wine list. Nice service and interesting layout.
We had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The service was very good and friendly and the food delicious. We will come back very soon.
Bacco served us wonderful and delicious food, and the service was impeccable and friendly, making it perfect for our pre-theatre meal out in Richmond last night.
Acceptable a very good atmosphere and easy to speak and listen
We used Bacco for lunch before a rugby match at Twickenham. Excellent service, not an extensive menu but right portion size for lunch, will definitely go again. Particularly liked the French Chardonnay served by the glass, should have bought a bottle!
Fantastic New Years Eve. The atmosphere was inviting and confortable. I was met by name by the owner at the door and immediately felt welcome. The food was delicious and the service was efficient & professional. The staff were there when you needed them but not continually in your face. The wine list was extensive with prices well within reason. The live music for the evening was enjoyable without being too loud that you still couldn't talk. Thank you Bacco for one of the best New Years I have had in a long time.
Bacco is my favourite restaurant in Richmond! Delicious Italian food - and the service was efficient and friendly, as always. I would (and do) highly recommend it.
Good food, excellent wine and a good atmosphere. Excellent service. Several menu items were not available but they said that was because it had been a busy day. Overall a very enjoyable meal and we'd definitely go there again.
Very nice staff and great service. Food was very nice shame there are no pizza on the menu. Prices were just right and good value for money.
Really lovely food. Quite authentic Italian food. Service was not brilliant. They forgot one of our starters and food arrived at different times. Slightly cramped but cosy atmosphere.
Very well prepared Italian cuisine and exceptionally friendly and professional staff. The decor was simple and attractive and the restaurant's position very close to Richmond station is ideal.
What we ate was delicious, but we would not have chosen what we did for us the choice was limited, since we eat neither pig meat or shell fish. Service excellent
I recently gave this restaurant top marks and a glowing review, but this time our experience was not so good. We had the set menu, as we had the previous time, but this time the aubergine starter was lukewarm and mushy. It had clearly not been freshly made as on the previous occasion, when it was served sizzling hot. The rest of the meal was good , through the main course fish dish was not as generous as on the previous occasion. It was the service which really disappointed us. It was first class last time, with the owner himself taking our order. I think our waitress this time was new, so allowances must be made, but she certainly needed a bit more training.
Our second time at Bacco. I was impressed by the very light batter on the calamari. Our lamb Ragu was very tasty and well prepared. We will be at the restaurant again soon.
As usual an excellent and very good value pre theatre dinner at Bacco. Charming service and good wine too. We will go back again without doubt.
The food was a bit slow in coming, considering we were there pre-theatre, and though wholesome seemed a little ill-judged, but it is a very cosy, congenial and friendly place.
Great food and service. Highly recommend, especially as it wasn't busy in a Saturday lunch time. The lamb ragout and parfait dessert were particularly good
The food is always very tasty and of good quality at Bacco - they also have an extensive wine list . I highly recommend it
a warm welcome and menu with plenty of choices. We would prefer the foccaccio to be less salty, but dipping into olive oil and balsamic was wonderful. Very large starters and tasty mains and enticing desserts (except for cheese dish which was fairly basic). However we will be back.
What a surprise !!! Excellent food coupled with an extensive wine list and great service. Try the seafood risotto! Superb ! Will be back as soon as possible!
Enjoyed a loel lunch at Bacco. Excellant food and value for money, with great servi ce too. Thoroughly recommended, and we'll be vary happy to return.
Loved the food, the customer service and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a great, cosy little place with outside sitting as well, truly beautiful. Totally recommend to others ;)
We had a delicious meal, good wine and the service was excellent. I go to this restaurant regularly, it is always full and I love it!
Really nice meal and attentive service. Well-prepared dishes with good portion sizes – I had the sea bass, my parents had the veal. They're from the classic Italian repertoire; antipasti include carpaccio and scallops, there's a good selection of pasta dishes and desserts include a very tasty panna cotta and a caramelised pineapple dish with ice cream. Delicious!
Unfortunately the waiter left out one of our mains and the service in general was very inattentive. They did try to make up for it but giving us extra desserts which was appreciated but unfortunately overall impression was not great.
The food was superb and the restaurant was exactly what was wanted for a pre-theatre lunch. The excellent Sicilian wine was also an unexpected treat.
