We had great food and the staff was very attentive.

My second meal at Babuji and it was nowhere near as good as the first time. Perhaps a different chef? I won't return.

We went for our daughter’s birthday and loved it! All the different dishes of Indian street food which we all shared. Lots of veggie options and wonderful, enthusiastic service from the waiters. The food came very quickly and was delicious.

Amazing food, lovely restaurant and host. We were recommended and have enjoyed the fragrant meal. The chai is also delicious. We’ll be back to sample the street food menu.

The most delicious food I have had in a restaurant in a long time, with the background of old classic indian songs! I need their playlist! The staff were very kind and professional. The place was clean and simple. With so many restaurants all around London, I sometimes feel like people don't put as much passion into their cooking now. BUT, at Babuji's, I felt like I was eating home food. I kept thinking there is an auntie in the kitchen overseeing all the dishes. A cute little card about how to eat with hands too. I'm autistic so like spaces that make me feel safe and where the food is nice! Saturday night was loud (excellent business for Babuji) so I'll be planning to go earlier, but that's my thing to hopefully sort! A massive thank you to my friend Claire for recommending it. ❤️

The tiled floor, tiled walls and high ceilings made it nearly impossible to hear and hold a conversation when it got busy; it was made worse when a customer dragged his chair across the floor. Adding something textured on the wall (canvases, fabric panels - something, anything!) to help with sound absorption, and also applying felt to the feet of the metal chairs, would really help with the noise levels.

I had another lovely meal and love the friendliness of the staff who take the time to tell you about dishes you have questions about. The butter chicken is ways a good choice for me and they do it well.

The dining experience at Babuji was perfect. Being from Tamil Nadu, we found the authentic cuisine and spices from home in this restaurant. We came with our children and had a great time, and the person who served us was very friendly. See you next time and Nandri ;)

It's not the first time I go to Babuji, it's always my first option when I want to enjoy tasty and good quality South Asian cuisine with great prices and a lovely environment. Food is always spot on, service is impeccable. Definitely the best restaurant in Kentish Town.

I took my wife to Babuji for a date night after reading some good reviews and seeing that they had quite a few vegan options on the menu for her. We had the most amazing meal and wonderful experience! Honestly the food was something else, one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. The staff were super friendly and relaxed and the whole experience was great.
