More about the restaurant: Ashoka
Named after the revered emperor of India, whose conversion to Buddhism after the bloody Kalinga War in 260 BCE led to the spread of the faith across the Indian subcontinent, Ashoka in Manchester is known as the place for quality Indian food, and we couldn’t agree more. Situated on lovely Portland Street, across from Hotel Ibis Manchester in the city centre, Ashoka brings northern Indian flavours to northern England at reasonable prices and in lovely surrounds.
