Lovely and delicious food but we thought it was just a little too expensive
Food was good. One of the staff member was not nice, I was asking him for something he told me wait I’m doing something rudely and then the same person picked our plates too quickly when it wasn’t finished and he didn’t even ask before he took the plate.
Delicious Lebanese food and wine. Great service and nice Arabic music in the background.
Poor customer service and tasteless food. Highly priced for low quality and quantity. Not recommended.
Really fabulous food, simple, fresh and so tasty - highly recommend
Food was delicious. We had a little wait to order, but once we had the food came very fast. Service was good and attentive.
Best Lebanese restaurant in London. I must go to it whenever I visit the London.
Incredible food, atmosphere and staff. Great overall. Kids loved it too
Great food and service. Enjoyed it very much. Thank You!
Starters great. The chicken and lamb somewhat plain in flavour s
Absolutely amazing food. The staff were all very friendly as well.
We visited today as it was my husband's birthday dinner. I ordered boneless chicken but was given with bone, when I told the waiter I asked for boneless he was not happy. The manager came over and cut the chicken so that he separates the bone, however I was not happy as I simply wanted boneless chicken. My husband ordered fish for his main, all he got was 2 strip of fish that was not filling for a man. We were given some salad (not chopped) in a basket, we looked surprised as we had one whole tomatoes, one green pepper, couple of radishes!!! What were we supposed to do, cut it ourselves???? Overall, it was awful experience, I know the manager was trying to be helpful but he could have simply got me something else. The waiter could have displayed some consideration. Oh and not to charge us service without our consent, which by the way cost us around £9. Quality of food, very poor, service appalling, will I come back, not a chance!!
Great food and excellent value! Second visit and will definitely be back!
Excellent service, hospitality, food and shisha :) :) :) :)
One of my fav restaurants in London, great atmosphere and great food
Delicious food, pleasant ambiance and good service. We have eaten here many times over the last 20-odd years and have always enjoyed an excellent meal. This time we enjoyed some hot and cold mezes, Lebanese house wine, salad, fruit and baklava. We will return next time we are in London.
Had a quick lunch with an old friend, both of us are fans of Lebanese food and ordered the Lamb Shawarma. Excellent food and service. Couldn't wish for better.
The food was excellent and so too service. We ordered and received amazing service throughout. Certainly more spacious than the restaurant over the road of El Hamrah and specifically their Moutabel was superb. If you like Lebanese food head here.
Have had better but was still nice. I would maybe go again to try something else as the Shwarma sauce provided was quite minimal. The meze was good.
The service was bad and they treat people differently which make you uncomfortable. Although the food was good but expected higher quality in terms of price.
One of the best restaurants in London. The quality of food is great. The staff is very kind. I highly recommend going to the restaurant.
Great food and service. Salad platter to start, delicious mezzes served with warm bread which was replenished part-way through the meal. We had a bottle of Lebanese house red which was reasonably-priced and at the end of the meal we were brought a plate of fresh fruits as well as a plate of baklava-both on the house. We have eaten at many Lebanese restaurants in London and Lebanon and consider this to be the best one in London.
Al Sultan provides a Fantastic meal with excellent service, the recommendations by our friendly server were perfect for our tastes and the right amount of food for two hungry travelers. Great selections!
Authentic Lebanese experience. Superb hospitality and honest food. The ambience and deco add value to the overall experience. Definitely a restaurant to return to. A truly pleasant dinner.
Really good dinner! Fast and really pleasant. I would raccomand it for a large party as they often have tables available even last minute .
As always very tasty food with very efficient and good service. Whether the traditional fresh vegetable greeting plate is meant to be consumed and what it costs could be explained. The reason for a cover charge of £2 per person should also be described. However despite the extras the price of the very good food is reasonable.
It's fair to say we have been coming here for years as our favourite Lebanese in London. After the refurb of a couple of years ago, it is now very smart with a bright fashionable interior and I have to say the food is better as well. It's a nice atmosphere, not noisy and crowded, somewhere where you can relax and hear your partner talk and chat over a great meal with attentive service.
It was a good experience, food was lovely, great customer service. The venue is beautiful. I would go back to eat there again. Well done
The food wasn’t quite up to its usual high standard although this was our first visit in two years. Nice ambience and attentive staff as always
Perfect service and food. This is the best of many Lebanese restaurants that I have visited in London. Recently refurbished, but not spoiled. The food is delicious and the house Lebabnese wine is good value.
It was the ultimate service. It was delicious food! A wisit we will not forget! The libanese cousin is for ever my favourite! 🤣 Happy happy!
The food was alright, we was greeted on our way in and seated everything was going well we didn't really require any service as we didn't order much as we was in a rush so we simply ordered mains.. however at the end is when it all went downhill. I asked the waiter for the bill and I think the manager or the key person in the restaurant came to us with the bill, I then asked the worker can I take off the service charge (bare in mind it's optional) and he gave me a dirty look and asked "why? Did we not give a good service?" I said yeah but it's optional so I wish to take it off and again gave me another dirty look and "when we serve you should pay for the service" he literally demanded that we pay in a very rude manner and I said I understand however it's optional. He then ripped the bill paper out off the wallet and scrunched it up very aggressively as well as snatching my desert plate!!! How can you do this to someone? It was a belittling and dehumanizing feeling how can you embarass someone in such manner. I just found this very disrespectful never have i ever been disrespected like this in my life. He's a very arrogant individual who ruined our day with his behaviour just down to me not paying the optional service charge but also his behaviour in snatching the bill and desert plate. I strongly do not recommend this place and definitely will not visit again, I even had plans to bring family members for a day out here but not with that attitude.
This place is great. Authentic and delicious. Great location and a lovely atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back. The service was great and the decor is really nice.
the service is not organised and they have added stuffed vine leaves to our bill which we have not ordered! However, the location is very nice.
Great food with all the Lebanese favourites on the menu! House Lebanese red wine is decent and good value. Free delicious Lebaneses pastries came with our coffees.
We turned up to Al Sultan yesterday evening to celebrate a friends birthday. No one came to the door when we arrived to seat is for approximately 5 minutes, so we then proceeded to an empty table for 4 people to seat ourselves. The waiter working last night then very rudely said no that table is not for you and came over and made us move and the whole restaurant was staring at this point. We were to disappointed with the service that we got up and left within 2 minutes of sitting down. Definitely would not return.
Excellent it's our favourite restaurant in London god always good we have been for the past 20 years . Will certainly be back. Se you soon
Food was good atmosphere was brilliant. Visited on valentines day and mrs loved it. Looking spend about £60 for 2 people. Shisha was abit expensive but it is in mayfair.
Friendly staff, family atmosphere and gorgeous food. We were at Al Sultan for a Sunday lunch and were perfectly served. Both the meze and the main dish was excellent and beautifully served.
A very fine and quite nice restaurant in Mayfair. Large selection of mezzes but also of mains. The daily special is a good idea to try new flavours
Not what I expected, had high hopes. Was dissapointed. Small and cramped place, service not good either. Was told 10 minutes after ordering that the dish wasnt available
Definitely would go back, Good dining setup and nice Lebanese food with good portions. Also quite cheap for a Mayfair area, definitely would recommend the place.
Delicious food and great service. The Moutabel and houmus shwarma are outstanding. Freshly-baked breads are brought to your table at regular intervals to ensure freshness. We have been visiting this restaurant for 25 years as it continues to be the best Lebanese in London.
Un vrai dîner Libanais, tout est délicieux ! Les pâtisseries sont offertes à la fin du dîner. Nous reviendrons lors de notre prochain passage à Londres.
Al-Sultan provides nice food and good service in a pleasant atmosphere in the heart of Mayfair. There are lots (maybe too many) dishes to choose from.
Food was EXCELLENT, and service even better. This is a great Lebanese restaurant. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening at al Sultan, Mayfair, London. We could have not asked for, and gotten, a better experience for dinner. Thanks. We will be back on our next London trip. Mike & Sue English, Austin, Texas, USA
High quality food, well cooked and seasoned and truly lebanese. Generous portions and excellent service. Prices also reasonable for Mayfair location. Higly recommend this restaurant.
Good food, helpful staff, great location. Will be back next time I'm in London. Will be sure to recommend it to any friends that plan to visit the UK
Friendly staff helped us identify the many vegan-friendly mezze dishes on the menu, and we then shared about eight of these for a delicious lunch full of fresh vegetables and herbs.
Good food, with lovely fresh tastes and lots of variety in the mezzes. Pleasant service, perhaps just a little lacking in atmosphere – though to be fair we were there early and it was filling up around nine o’clock.
