Cocktails not great and automatic 12.5% added to bill with 2 people dining not good

Last month I had an amazing 1kg Tomahawk, which was absolutely beautiful, cooked to perfect, the steak was absolutely 100% delicious, couldn’t fault it. Told my mum how amazing the Tomahawk was, so yesterday for her birthday, i surprised her with a lunch to Zokoa, with the 1kg Tomahawk. Well, I wouldn’t have even served the Tomahawk to a dog! The amount of fat on the steak was absolutely disgusting and gruesome. More fat than meat! I am deeply appalled by the quality served to me, especially as it was a gift for my mother. No apology from the waitress, she just spoke to the chef, whose response was ‘all the steaks are like that, no point cooking another one’. The waitress only offered to cook the steak more, what is that going to achieve? I wanted my steak medium/rare!!! I don’t want to eat the fat! No apology, no compensation. Highly disappointed after I’ve been raving on about how nice the steak was last month.

Served 1 round of drinks, order taken..forgotten about, 2nd round of drinks didn’t show. An hour passed and we asked for the bill so we could leave, the response “Havent you eaten yet?” No, no we haven’t. Apologies were provided and they wouldn’t let us pay for our 2 drinks. We went to Middletons instead, which was fantastic as always.

Absolutely delightful restaurant. Spotlessly clean and it had a wonderful atmosphere, I really enjoyed the background music and the water feature, it made for a wonderfully relaxing environment. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was quick but not rushed. The staff were incredible, really friendly and polite, smartly dressed, their manner setting you at ease. They are very attentive but not overbearing. It was a really lovely way to spend an afternoon and we have booked again straight away. 5 ⭐️

A number of the drinks on the wine list were unavailable, fillet steak was average. The cheesecake had strawberry sauce on it instead of chocolate as per the menu.

The Tapas Wednesdays menu is amazing, several interesting dishes to choose from.Very good value for money.

The rump steak was great perfectly cooked and so tender. Great restaurant with friendly staff highly recommended.

We booked this restaurant thinking it would be great for birthday celebrations. The menu looks fantastic and so does the decor but the service we received was nothing other than diabolical. We arrived as a party of 11 (having booked 3 weeks prior) to no tables set up for us and being told to pull them in ourselves - not what you would expect when you’ve booked something? We then ordered our first round of drinks which looked fantastic alongside our starters. We then realised that a few drinks were missing, to which we chased up and had to wait 10 minutes for (in that time, the majority of us had already drank our first drinks!). We then were served our starters and were given FROZEN bread rolls alongside burnt sausages. We are not usually ones to moan but the bread was rock solid and the sausages were black. They rectified the bread by bringing out freshly heated ones which was good however no true apology was received. Our mains then arrived, some of which were lovely, but others, again, were burnt to a crisp. One of the burgers was so burnt we could not stick a fork through it. We handed this back and again NO APOLOGY from the waiter. A lady came over after a while and apologised but the lack of customer service from the waiter was terrible. More drinks were ordered and this same waiter then proceeded to pour a drink down one of my friends legs and did not even acknowledge him, he just grabbed a napkin and threw it at him. AGAIN NO APOLOGY. To say we were shocked is an understatement. Upon receipt of our bill, we then noticed that they had added the more expensive platter on there, not the one which someone ordered. A simple mistake which was fixed easily but by this point we had had enough. At the bottom of the bill there was an ‘optional’ £53 service charge. We always leave tips when we go out but the service we received here was terrible. We all split the bill and paid our share. A waitress questioned that there was money left at the end to pay in which we said no that is the service charge (clearly it isn’t optional then?) which we are not paying for this poor service. The waitress then proceeded to moan and gossip about us not paying the service charge. We are never ones to complain however I am absolutely appalled by this. They seemed happy to take our money but not happy to treat us with an ounce of care of respect. The lady with dark hair in a messy up do was doing her best to recover the situation however the waiters and waitresses did not help. We will not be returning here ever again.

They gave our booking to another table waited an hour with a free drink that wasn’t that nice,then after getting the table waited half an hour for our food which also wasn’t amazing but was ok, my friend also called the restaurant prior to our meal as it was my birthday and wanted to make it special for me and they said they would do a birthday platter and did they no so overall very disappointing.

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this restaurant, merely because the music is extremely loud and neither the employees can hear the orders and not even the customers can talk during the meal due to an extremely noisy environment, due to loud music. The request was made to lower the volume of the song (this being more of a bar) and first it was said that they could not do it and after having asked to talk to the manager there then reduced the volume for minutes and soon it was increasing again. To be able to make my order, the waiter had to lean over so that there could be the request, what was supper uncomfortable. Space provides more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant, so to speak. However, the food was very good. And the service provided was good.

Food was nice but a little expensive for what it was.the dj noise level was loud. The service was very good and tentative.

Wonderful food and service. Had some issues with potatoes, not the kitchens fault as it was inside and they could not see it but they were replaced super quick. Highly recommended.

Delicious sunday roast good assortment of veg, the chicken was really succulent and the roast potatoes nice and crispy.
