Zelman Meats - Soho

This is my husbands favourite steak place. Another amazing meal and meat. Lovely atmosphere and service. Will be going again. Please bring back Sunday Roast, it was the best.

Great steak and great service. Have been a few times before and will certainly go back again. Would highly recommend their chateaubriand and their dirty steaks!

What has happened here? I have been to Zelmans many times and always loved it, however tonight we took friends for a birthday and it wasnt good at all, they’ve removed the oysters and the lamb chops from the menu so there is no choice or variety for meat anymore. The waiter over sold everything for our group size, dropped food all over my partner, kept us waiting for drinks and side dishes and was actually kinda rude. The meat was disappointing, tasteless and fatty. To be honest we wont go back again! the bill was £400 and we all left dissatisfied. sorry Zelmans but something has changed and not for the better.

Great food and service! Will most definitely recommend and return. One of the best steaks in London I’ve had, not to mention the chips and mayo.

Always consistently good cuts of beef. One of my go to spots.

Cracking service, in an interesting looking 'New York loft' style venue. Piranhas in tanks gazed on while we worked our way through the menu and the wine list... Lobster croquettes and tiger prawns shared to start with where delicious. The main course was served in the middle, and we tried three cuts of meat, all perfectly cooked. A really cracking take on the steak house experience, and I wish I'd took the waiters name to give him a shout-out... excellent. Will definitely go back.

Amazing food and Service and sat us in our place of choice. Waiters also had good knowledge about the meats. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Service and food was very good. The table was unacceptable. It was very small for three people and it was placed near the restaurant entrance.

Lovely steak, fun bar staff, good sides and thoughtful gesture to include dessert on my husband’s birthday. Buzzy feel and not too loud for a Saturday night in Soho.

It was fantastic. They even offered my the desserts as it was my birthday. If I could give more than 6 stars I definitely would.

The meat (porterhouse) was good but not perfect as it should be. The service was very good. The atmosphere was nice and not noisy . We liked the logo - 2 knifes.

We sat under a table with dentist light - not too cosy. The food was alright, but the table was too high to eat in a proper way. Nice waiters and a fair price for the food and wine.

Excellent food. We chose two different kinds of steak and side dishes and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and attentive despite it being the busy Christmas period.

best steak in London by far and nowhere near as expensive as the other steak joints like gaucho

Ordered the dirty sirloin (£32, 400g) with grilled mushroom (£5.5). The steak was OK - I was anticipating that it would be more tasty. The grilled mushroom with garlic was fairly average - nothing special.

Another fabulous meal at Zelmans with good friends. This was our fifth trip in the past year and we will be back again for sure

Table was ready when we got there - everything was smooth, service was great and the place was alive. Steaks/ menu was explained thoroughly (ask for the specials for the day) 'GO Dirty Sirloin'!! :D

As always the service is great, Ben is fantastic and knows his stuff. The quality of food is always exceptional and was enjoyed by the whole table.

Zelman is the place to enjoy your steak in Soho London. Nice vibe, cool atmosphere, fun music and very friendly servers. Everybody there is helpful and knowledgeable of the items in the menu. Definitely a must to go to when in town. We even got shirts to show off in OC California!

nothing especially wrong or right about Zelman... meats were a little tough but not too bad, starters so-so, service was OK... but no particular high point or reason to go again.

Great restaurant, I’ve been many times! Service is always very good, the staff are always relaxed yet attentive. The short rib is an absolute must!!

Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great food cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely. They kept it simple and got it right. Only two niggles: 1) could be a few more side dish options. Nothing major but thought that was a shame. 2) the Picanha is done “in an English style” rather than Brazilian. Major error (but had a perfectly good ‘special’ instead) Big thumbs-up for the dressings, though - simple and spot on and plentiful!

Food on point. However had table reserved until 9pm but was ‘prompted to vacate’ table at 8.40pm, literally 1 minute after paying the bill. Was a bit weird and awkward.

The level of meat and service was high and excellent

I have to say we were disappointed. 3 small lobster balls for £10 seemed expensive for what arrived, We had the special ribeye of the day which, to be frank, was not worth the £60. And for triple-cooked chips, they weren't. It's a shame. Whether it was the Christmas crush, whether standards have dropped generally, but 4 of us spent £290 between us and felt like we had been severely overcharged.

Great meat -however rather male dominated clientele. Sharing worked vewry well and Wine stacks were an interestinfg development .Certainly I would go again and service very attentive

Food was all on one plate so hard to split between 6 of us. Service was pretty slow which was unfortunate as it’s usually great

Beautifully cooked and tasty meats! Cool and hip decor with comfortable seating. Will definitely be dining again and would highly recommend to other meat lovers!

Fantastic meat cooked by real charcoal of wood. Nice service, good music (and not too high, above all...), awesome atmosphere... Right bill for what you eat.

Smoked beef ribs are excellent, as are the truffle chips. Small selection of wines but all are good. Service was friendly and food was prompt.

The food was really good and staff very kind and professional. I do recommend Lobster Crockets as a starter and the Chateaubriand Steak which was absolutely awesome. The only thing that I did enjoyed was the table near the door where you can experience a not pleasure cold air on your back. We requested a booth for two of us and a member of staff informed us the booth was only for 4 people, even though others guests had a booth for two of them. Hostess were really kind and waiters very professional.

Good food & service defo recommend, good location & experience, it wasn't too crowded with good atmosphere, deco was cool too, prices reasonable considering right in the heart of Soho !

Fantastic steak and a very creative selection of side dishes complement it very well. Works well ordering a good selection on a sharing platter and makes it a bit different to your standard steak restaurant experience. Also nice to see the kitchen. Can't recommend the smoked ribs enough, and the Holy F*#k Mayo is a must. Service could perhaps have been a little quicker, but will definitely be going back again soon!

I’ve been here before and the food was amazing again! The service is really friendly and helpful, they take the time to go through the different cuts of meats.

My first time at the restaurant however my husband has been a number of times. The food was lovely and the staff could not have been anymore helpful. Would highly recommend.

Amazing food, fantastic service! I will absolutely be visiting Zelman meats again in the very near future. The starters were a particular highlight and ordered twice!

We visited Zelman meats after work for dinner and would definitely recommend it. Luckily we had booked a table as it was quite busy - however that didn't stop us receiving fantastic service. Food was delicious and a good selection of wine. Will definitely be back
