Great food, lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Good value for money. 1st time, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Superb quality, fantastic staff - nothing was too much trouble. Faultless. Thank you!
Well cooked fine food well presented and portions which enticed rather than overfaces the diner .
Staff are warm and welcoming and the restaurant has a cosy and relaxed feel. Good selection of food on both the main menu and also the Specials board - one of chose beef, the other belly pork - both were delicious.
The food was very poor. Soup was cold and had tove reheated. The chips were soggy and either overcooked or raw. The cheesecake was more lik3 a mousse and the crumb base like concrete, sticky toffee pudding was cold. We only drew the attention of the waitress to the soup and chips. However, we were still charged the full amount. I feel the meal was over priced regardless of the poor quality. Won't eat here again, and definitely would not recommend.
Great food! Great service! I would definitely recommend. Very friendly staff
Excellent food and service, very good value for money. We'll be back!
Excellent food, brilliant service, fab atmosphere, good heating on a blustery day, lovely & cosy! Thank you for a great night!
Great food as usual , will be going back again
Having dined at the woolly sheep several times before and all was well. This last time was poor.
Service could've been better, we felt a bit forgotten about and we struggled to make ourselves understood by the waiter. Enjoyed the main meal but dessert was disappointing. No gluten free dessert on the menu (not even an Ice cream menu) and could do with more flexible options for adapting meals to make them gluten free e.g. gluten free Yorkshire pudding or bread buns etc. Treacle tart had very burnt pastry, I should've just sent back really but I'd already eaten quite a bit using the berries and ice cream to disguise it!
Lovely mother’s say lunch, glass of Prosecco for the mums.
Great Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and environment. Highly recommended and will definitely be back again
Really great Sunday roast. Good service. Food came super quick!
Great service , great food .would definitely recommend had a great roast .
Good food and service. Sunday lunch excellent though a bit more expensive than other local pubs.
I really like this place. We come along and it never disappoints!
We have eaten here before so were really looking forward to a roast beef dinner, unfortunately they have started "infusing" the beef spoiling the old traditional flavour. We enjoyed our meal but prefered not to have added aromatic herbs added to what used to be perfect. The yorkshire pudding was great as usual.
Food was a bit dry - normally have great food there but was disappointed with both courses. Was a bit roudy but it was Friday night. Service was good.
I've eaten a couple of times in the evening from the dinner menu and I've enjoyed it and would recommend but this I think this lunch was not well presented and not good value. More staff and a properly paid chef needed I think
very welcoming, lots of food choices. the Moroccan lamb pie was delicious and enjoyed the free pint
We all chose a different main course and were all delighted with our choice. A very good meal.
Nice place with a cosy feel. Good food and great beer.
Food was lovely, the service however was weak and slow. It was a Saturday but not late. Quite busy but plenty of staff on. If your prepared to wait for service then it was fine.
Great pub, great beer, great food and lovely service in a top location.
This is the third time we have had a meal at the Woolley Sheep, all was lovely, service, waiting time for food, definitely be back again soon.!!
Had a lovely stay at the Woolley Sheep. Staff were really helpful, even posting back my iPad I’d left behind. The food was excellent had the Sunday Roast it was delicious and the breakfasts were excellent. Very central to visit Skipton.
The restaurant was busy but we had booked in advance. We ate from the lunch menu which was a fairly extensive pub style menu although there was a specials board. All four of us had the regular fish and chips. They were very good and we liked the Timothy Taylors beer batter with bread crumbs. Two of us had the jam roly poly and two the treacle tart. The tart was very good but a bit hard. A good meal and friendly service.
lovely meal and looked after for dads 70th. Treacle tart a little hard but The lamb was beautiful. Would highly recommend and would revisit .
Ordered a beef sandwich with side salad which when it arrived was a huge salad with a few strips of beef! When I asked the waitress was told if you have the salad you don’t get bread even though the menu said it is served with either salad or tortilla chips , I found the attitude of the waitress quite abrupt and made my party feel uncomfortable, there needs to be more clarity on the menu!
We had an excellent meal in pleasant surroundings, and enjoyed excellent service. The beer was also spot on. I would recommend the Woolly Sheep for a well priced, good quality meal.
Great Sunday lunch - good choice of roasts, nicely cooked veg topped off with a big Yorkshire. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
2nd visit in two weeks and delicious both times. Maybe a little heavy handed on salt added to mash but not enough to complain. Lovely inn full of character, very busy need to book.
The Wooly Sheep is a quirky pub serving gastric food Superb tasty food beautifully presented and served by girls with a smile would highly recommend
Menu didn't do the food justice ! It was was amazing .staff great too and very reasonable .overall a very good afternoon/evening. would recommend to anyone
The member of staff was just great Food was spot on as well I don't recommend place usual but I do with the wooly sheep
As good As it always is. Wonderful food and beer
Have made many visits here. Never had any problems. Does get very busy
Yet another great meal, food and service were very good and the staff very efficient and helpfull.Good place to eat on the main street in Skipton.
Top quality food. Good wine list. Finest Timothy Taylor's beer you'll get anywhere. Great atmosphere. It's nearly always busy so I'd recommend booking a table if possible.
Great food, great atmosphere. Not cheap but nothing this good is ever cheap, quality comes at a price. We'll be back. Sticky toffee pudding to die for.
Great pub with lots of atmosphere. Good selection of ales. Food top draw, various option and a specials board. Perfect place for lunch in thheart of Skipton town centre.
Good service, lovely food, well presented, reasonably priced great surroundings. Party of eight and everyone loved it the sticky toffee pudding was glorious definitely be coming again. Thankyou for a great night.
Fantastic meal and service, enjoyed every minute of our visit. Will definately return and eat here again. They have a nice bar area too. Prices are good too.
Really nice Sunday Roast. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended
Lovely hotel and pub, food beautiful, breakfast amazing, great location. Room was a little cramped, would prefer a larger room. Close to all amenities in the heart of the town.
Excellent service, very well presented pub, clean and warm, very nice food and very large portions and the pint is not too bad either, always eat here when we visit Skipton.
The food and service was all very good. Great lunchtime menu and chef prepared a special salad for me due to a dairy allergy limiting my choices.
A delicious meal was had again at the woolly sheep.was running late to our booking but a quick call to the woolly sheep to let them know and they kept our table for us which was good because the place was busy.will be returning again most definitely
The food was mediocre. Baked Brie turned out to be a few pieces in a dish with raw garlic all instead of a melted whole Brie which the price suggested. The main was shoulder of lamb on sloppy mash which was poorly disguised by an overblown Yorkshire pudding. A raspberry mousse followed. This had a grainy texture as if recently defrosted, the ice cream on top was better. Overall a very mediocre Sunday lunch although as always the beer was fantastic
