Sadly when we arrived one of my guests needed to use the toilet, on asking he was directed to the public toilet outside. My guest was parented with a ticket in order to use the toilet, outwardly the restaurant looked good although a limited menu. Sorry
Great place. Great staff. Great food. Great drink. Great evening. Highly recommend :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Average food and terrible service. Went to have some bites before the theatre. The waitress did not write down the order which ended up in a mess. She brought twice the same dish which I had not ordered. Forgot to bring what I had ordered and the worst was with the bill: was charged the wrong food and wine. This caused a discussion with the waitress who insisted on charging me for what I did not order nor eat. Never had such a terrible experience with unprofessional and stubborn staff. I would not go back and strongly recommend anyone who goes to check the bill. Advise to the manager to ask the staff to write down the orders to avoid these situations.
Good wine, nice and quiet in the middle of Covent Garden. But the food was limited, and the fillings didn't seem generous. The Avocado bruschetta could have done with a little more avocado and the mozzarella foccacia could have had more mozorella.
The food and wine was excellent and reasonably priced, the waiting staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a lovely lunch and was very happy with our time there.
The music outside from the buskers was great. Unfortunately the food didn’t really match up and was pretty expensive but then it is Covent Garden!
It was average - food and service. Price was good for central London. Great location in Covent Garden. Brilliant vibe when the steeet entertainers are on.
Lovely atmosphere with a view into the lower courtyard where we were able to enjoy some great wine while we listened to different musicians play/sing
Useful spot for a meal or a snack (some hot dishes, salads etc) and a glass of wine. Pleasant service. Entertainment from the piazza outside. No toilets (but public toilets nearby)
really good wine selection they have and the waitress was so nice to tell us her opinion. The food was so so good, fresh and good. The only thing is that they don't have a toilet but still charging 10% service.
It was our first visit to Vini Italiani and we were very pleased with our experience. The menu, with sharing platters and a selection of light meals and mains was a perfect pre-theatre menu and the service was excellent.
Ideal location, if you like the buskers in Covent Garden: we were treated to opera singers and violin virtuosi during our lunch, performing just outside the (open) restaurant windows. The menu is fairly limited but quite tasty. The wine, of course, is good. There are only a few tables, so booking would be advisable if you are very keen to visit this restaurant. The venue is quaint but without much atmosphere, at least at lunchtime. The service is good. I wouldn't rush to eat there again but would be happy if I ended up there for a drink.
The place is lovely, the service is excellent (the waiters are nice and helpful) and the wine choice is remarkable. However, it is very overpriced, even for Covent Garden. We spent 16 £ for 7 (seven) slices of bresaola and 1 mozzarella, and 9 £ for a spritz. Plus service charge. So, it is great for a drink, not great for the wallet.
When we booked we were advised you would close at 7pm as it was New Year's Eve however when we arrived for our 4pm reservation you the said you were closing at 6pm. Our friends were a little late and we felt rushed as all your staff had their coats on ready to leave before 6pm.i was also disappointed that you didn't have 3 choices on the menu available and the only hot dish available was sausage lasagne. The food and wine was good and your staff friendly however we felt rushed
This is a great little Italian trattoria with an exceptional hand in the kitchen. From bread to meat to dessert, the food was delicious and properly seasoned. I highly recommend it.
Food was very nice, specially the platters. The Xmas lasanha was a bit too Spice-full for my taste. The wine that the waiter recommended was amazing. Very friendly staff.
Very helpful staff. On a hot night they arranged to transfer my booking to the pop up restaurant in the Piazza. This is a wine shop, with food. The selection of wines by the glass is substantial and you can buy literally hundreds by the bottle at shop prices. They also have high end wines available by the glass, kept fresh using the corovin system. If you want to explore the huge variety of wines from Italy, this is surely the place to go.
This branch of Vini Italiani whilst small is very nice given its location in Covent Garden. Outside if the wine bar are opera singers and other performers. The service is excellent and the staff is quite knowledgeable about the wines on offer.
