Delicious afternoon tea - everything was fresh and tasty, and service was prompt and friendly. Lovely gardens to admire too.
Lovely staff and very tasty food 🥰will definitely come back
We had a lovely Sunday roast cooked to perfection no waste. We took two Dorset apple cakes home as we couldn’t manage a desert! The staff were very attentive and we will definitely be back! Many thanks
Staff friendly and cheerfully. Food good. No long wait for service.
We had a lovely table next to the stream watching the ducks As always the food was fantastic we both enjoyed our meal veru much
Not many places that will be better than this one.Table next to the stream with great service. All the staff were so nice.
Wonderful little gem of a place. Beautiful gardens. Food is superb and staff are friendly. Highly recommended.
Had a great anniversary with high tea lovely food, pleasant helpful staff Highly recommend. Beautifully gardens
Was an absolutely beautiful visit. The gardens were exquisite and the service and food was outstanding. Would highly recommend.
Great food and friendly service in a very beautiful location!
Lovely setting for delicious food. Wide menu of both food and drinks. Marvellous.
What a fabulous place. A warm welcome, the staff were super friendly and efficient. We had cream tea by the stream, the setting and the food were incredible, no wonder it's won so many awards. Just hoping our wishes come true next 😊🤞🏼
Amazing food. Lovely helpful friendly staff. Beautiful gardens. Would definitely recommend.
We had the vegetarian version of the vegan Sunday roast and it was very delicious. The vegan nut roast and vegan gravy were great along with all the regular roast components (pees, yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, carrots and parsnips, potatoes). Afterwards we had cream tea, also one glutenfree scone. both were fresh, warm and delicious. The garden is a healing, relaxing and surprising place to spend some hours in a beautiful rural setting. We would definitely recommend dropping by if you're in the area!
We have been visiting Upwey Wishing Well from the 1960's onwards, over four generations, it is always a lovely and memorable experience, and, on our recent visit, was just as lovely as ever!
Lovely venue but very dry scone sadly. Road outside completely gridlocked. Parking is a problem.
What a special place. Lovely food. We had High Tea and it was delicious. Staff are amazing, so kind and helpful. And the garden . . . It’s just fabulous. A lovely oasis on a hot day.
Celebrating a 90th birthday. The staff were so accommodating. Made it a wonderful occasion
Sat outside as per request but table hadn’t been reserved & someone already sitting in it. Moved to another table which wasn’t a problem. Good food; quick & good service. Always a pleasure to visit & holds lots of memories from way back 🤗
It was good - the staff are really friendly and the food was nice.
Never fails at The Wishing Well. Celebrated my mums birthday together in our favourite place! As always, exceptional service and quality of food in the most beautiful little setting.
What a wonderful little spot, right next to the stream. Amazing afternoon tea; cakes, savouries and scones, can't wait to go back! If only one tiny comment and that was that one of the cakes was coffee which neither of us liked but took home to someone else. I would definitely recommend the Wishing Well as a treat or special day out for someone.
table position changed on request. Quick service, and lovely quality food that arrived swiftly.
We go here regularly. The staff are lovely but sadly this Sunday the food was well below its usual standard. Reheated Roast potatoes like bullets, under cooked Parsnip etc. maybe they had a crisis in the kitchen as it is normally top notch.
The staff were super friendly friendly and helpful the moment we walked in.Nothing is too much trouble. There is a great vibe in there and the tranquility experienced whilst dining outside was welcomed after a heavy work week. Our food did not disappoint and they don't mind loading up the plate! Ready to return next week tbh..
Very lovely high tea, amazing food and staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.
Great little spot. Cute surroundings, large menu choice and the food was flipping lovely! Nice to see somewhere with enough staff on shift too.
The passionfruit and meringue cake was devine. I would definitely recommend it.
It was a birthday lunch for husband and myself, service & food was good, thank you
Sat outside under shade on a fairly hot day with friends, lovely!
Very busy and noisy indoors but graciously moved to the delightful garden Staff charming and helpful but quite muddled Food ok All in all a very nice experience
Sat outside in the sun, great atmosphere and friendly staff
Very pleased with it overall. My older parents were pleased with being recognised and I was grateful the owner spoke to me regarding some concern. Service was wonderful and we enjoyed our meal. Thank you.
Excellent service . Made to feel very welcome . Food was amazing .
I took my girlfriend and my sister to the upwey wishing well for Sunday lunch , when we arrived we were treated exceptionally well and shown to our table in a sort of conservatory not so crowded , we ordered our roast lunch ,and drinks , all were served promptly and efficiently, and as usual was delicious a good really tasty meal not hurry just great place to eat
Great staff, great food, great atmosphere beautiful gardens 10 star would not be enough.
Great cake and service. Gardens are lovely and the ducklings made the day
Excellent food, as always, and attentive service. Good choice of meals, snack and amazing cakes.
The food was lovely and so were the desserts . However it was very busy as there was a wedding party.
Great visit to these charming tea rooms, sat in the gardens with a beaufiul view and had a delicious brunch - I had eggs benedict with crispy bacon, a fresh pot of tea, followed by a slice of cake, food was wonderful! Staff very friendly and helpful too
Amazing place. So unique glad we got there ... Lovely breakfast next to the well
Nice food, good service and a lovely setting. Would recommend a visit.
Good food, beautiful garden. Good service. Friendly staff. Not much more to say.
We thoroughly enjoyed our cream tea. Myself in particular was really pleased as I got a plain scone (something not always available). It was delicious.
Lovely flowers on every table, very good vegetarian roast, delicious puds and cakes amazing. Nice to have the option of sitting outside (especially by the water) or in, staff were super helpful and friendly although they were busy they always have time to help.
Food was average. Service was friendly. Place was very tired.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive polite staff, fabulous cream tea and excellent choice of cakes. Trip to see Wishing Well and gardens impressed my visitors. Highly recommendedReasonably priced and value for money.
There was a wedding party on, that was moved inside due to the weather. It was all dealt with quickly and professionally- dispute how busy it was the staff couldn't have been nicer if they tried. The food was lovely and fresh, the prices good value. We will definitely go again and recommend them to others. Beautiful setting, nothing to much trouble. Many thanks to all
