Food was great. My only comment is that I understand the service charge is added to the bill. I wasn’t aware of that so I felt it was a bit excessive for a table of 6 with us all paying extra. The waiting staff only took a drinks order, then a food order and brought them out. Nothing that would warrant such an additional cost overall.

Absolutely fantastic meal the food and the service was top quality. The whole experience was superb.

Four of us enjoyed a delicious lunch yesterday. The service was great & the waitress very friendly. It was wonderful to see my favourite treacle sponge with custard on the menu.

Fabulous Sunday lunch in nice surrounds, friendly and efficient service and very fairly priced. The lovely gardens are best enjoyed in fine weather.

Wonderful afternoon tea. Unlimited tea/coffee. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche, scones and cakes. Staff attentive. Beautiful gardens.

Coming early was definitely an advantage - the place was full to bursting. My friend and I had an utterly delicious fish pie with roasted vegetables. Very tasty! Although it was cold, walking round the garden was still pleasant.

We had an excellent meal and the staff were very good. The only surprise was the 7.5% service charge added to the bill. We thought that was voluntary - not that we minded paying it!
