Friendly staff! lovely food as always, good social distancing in place. Had a lovely walk round the garden after our meal, could not resist purchasing a plant.

We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful gardens and purchasing plants.

We were disappointed in their COVID 19 cleanliness. ( our table wasn't wiped before we sat down & the toilets weren't sterilised after each person & also they had paper menus rather than laminated ones which could have been wiped down after each customer. ) But they did have good social distancing in place & hand steriliser at the entrance.

Delicious sandwich and Dorset Apple cake dessert. Overall very pleasant experience.

Really nice to get back into eating out after such a long time. Lovely to walk round the beautiful gardens and lots of plants for sale in aid of Samaritans.

We had a lovely lunch at the Wishing Well on Monday 2nd. As my friend is vegan and has trouble finding something to eat this came as a lovely surprise for her. Thank you for the meal that we had.

Delicious piping hot meal in a lovely village restaurant. Service was spot on and always very friendly. Reasonable use priced and the garden just budding up too.

Lovely location with friendly staff. We stopped for a cream tea and a doggie ice cream for Angel. We enjoyed our visit and the walk around the gardens.

Took some visiting relations for lunch as they had never been here before. They were very impressed & said they will return when the gardens in full bloom.

Well deserving to be busy, glad we reserved a table. Food was excellent and service friendly and amazingly quick considering how busy they were. Couldn’t fit in a dessert so got takeaway fruit scones, jam and cream for tea. Definitely going back.

We don't visit very often as we live in NE Hants and travel to Weymouth to visit an elderly relative from time to time. We always have a very enjoyable lunch visit to the Wishing Well.

Always enjoy being at the Wishing Well but we were disappointed that the roast chicken had all gone and there was no vegetarian option with the roast dinners. We had understood that that would be the case and was what we were really looking forward to. So we had to create a "roast" from one of the other options ( ie with potatoes and veg) but to be honest I would have expected a vegetarian alternative to the roast beef on offer. Puddings were delicious.

We have eaten at the Wishing Well before and our return visit to celebrate my mother's birthday didn't disappoint. There was an excellent choice of food including for vegetarians. The staff are always pleasant and attentive.

Thank you to all at Upwey Wishing Well. We had a wonderful time celebrating 155 years of life between the three of us. The afternoon tea was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every mouthful. I am still glad we didn’t go for the ice and lemon option in our tea!! Lol. We had a wonderful catch up and will definitely be back. The staff were attentive, the table Looked beautiful and we laughed a lot. Who could ask for more.

Staff were excellent & very helpful , we weren’t ignored for long lengths of time like some restaurants , only comment would be it would of been nice to have a dish of peas ,cabbage, sprout or beans

The food was really good, and the service was very nice too. The gardens were beautiful and an amazing setting. All in all it was wonderful and we will be going back!

Food was good on the whole but one small complaint . I had a jacket potato and would have liked it to have been hotter, It was barely warm and the skin was tough to eat. my sister and brother in law, who are fussy eaters ( my brother in law is a chef ) enjoyed their meal of ploughman's and Queen of quiche. Will visit again.

Lovely afternoon tea. Generous portions. I would tell people to book as very busy. Gardens absolutely beautiful. Manageable size for older visitors. Would highly recommend.

A lovely time celebrating dad's 82nd birthday. The cream tea was delicious. We sat outside in the beautiful garden. Staff were also fantastic.

We really enjoyed our visit and the food was lovely. A little noisy in there due to the low ceiling.

Lovely salmon and cream cheese sandwich, but wasn’t keen on the Dorset apple cake way to much cinnamon and it had mixed fruit in it ! Couldn’t taste any of the apple, will have something different next time , it’s a shame but I don’t recommend the apple cake .

Very good menu we were spoilt for choice food very enjoyable staff very attentive and helpful looking forward to going a second time
