Great atmosphere, beautiful gardens and wishing well and the best cream tea ever! Definitely worth a visit with family and friends for a great day out.
Wonderful bright and inviting restaurant, when you walk in the room it is beautiful, bright and the tables are laid out spaciously. The service was amazing and you are given a very warm welcome. The staff were super friendly and the menu full and interesting with a separate vegan menu. We chose the roast dishes, beef, chicken and chicken pie. All the dishes came out together and were really hot and tasty. Lots of veg and extra gravy and Yorkshire puddings were provided. We didn't need to ask for anything as the staff were so attentive. I WON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR A SUNDAY ROAST! If we could have fit pudding in we would have definitely gone for some of the cakes on display 😋 fantastic looking cakes with a gluten free choc option. We shall be back for a cream tea or as the kids wanted a chocolate milkshake! After paying we took a stroll round the gardens which were beautiful. We'll worth a visit to this hidden gem.
Lovely hearty food and very friendly and welcoming staff! The water gardens were really lovely to walk around and the dressed well was really interesting!
Homely, comfy, cosy with good service. Lovely lunch following my father in law's funeral. Back in the day this was my in-laws fav place, so now they've gone we went their in their memory. Garden looks fab as always - very much enjoyed.
Very good meal but not much choice in gluten free. Good service even though they were very busy we were looked after well and not kept waiting
The on line booking a waste of time. ..the very friendly waitress had no knowledge of our reservation when we turned up.We did get a table however. We have visited and eaten at this very charming tea room every year for the past dozen or so. Clearly it has had ( an unecessary) makeover which is not a big problem but the vfm on the food has reduced considerably. The gardens still very charming however.
