Fantastic service, atmosphere, food and a lovely way to spend a few hours in a relaxing, clean and friendly place

It was first time I’d been there however my other family members had been before. I’d come to visit family for the day with my two small children and we had a lovely time together! The food was great, generous portions very friendly staff members and very quaint in decorations. Will be visiting again hopefully very soon.

Lovely food, service and the table by the stream was laid out nicely too. Our waitress carried very heavy trays with a smile and was very friendly.

Our order was a little complex with various dietary requirements and preferences to be noted and we had to query a couple of items when they arrived, but the staff were very polite and resolved our queries satisfactorily. Lovely garden setting with tables surrounded by plants and shrubs, which separated us from neighbouring tables. Great to walk around the garden and water features with the dogs after our meal. Wide range of options on the menu to suit all tastes.

We had a table booked inside but the lady asked if we like to sit outside and we said yes by the lake and it was absolutely beautiful from the tea room to the walk round

What an amazing place, with Friendly staff who clearly enjoy working there. The gardens are breathtaking and so peaceful. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside next to the stream. We only stopped for brunch and the food was delicious. Our only regret was that we had no room for any of their scrummy cakes. We will be back!

As always it was a pleasure to visit Upwey Tearoom and Garden. This was our second visit and again didn't disappoint us. Even though there was a confusion over ordering our Afternoon Tea, we decided on having the Lord Nelson Savoury Tea and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was absolutely delicious. The Tearoom was warm and welcoming as were all the staff, very friendlyand attentive. We got a chance to have a walk around the beautiful garden, and see the wishing well, which we couldn't on our last visit due it raining so heavily. Can't wait until we return again. Probably when staying in Weymouth next year. Shaz & friends from Oxford

The pie of the day was more parsnips than meat. We were not told it was a parsnip pie and I cannot eat parsnips. I had two chunks of meat!! Very disappointed. My wife had the same meal although hers was fine with plenty of meat. We have been before and everything was good but not this time. We were sat at a window table on which there was a vase of wilted flowers. On the windowsill there were numerous little pots with plants interspersed with dead flies! Hopefully today was just a one off.

Ended up with 9 of us,and were easily accommodated. Those that had lunches their food looked lovely, 5 of us had cream teas which were great, even though some of them put the jam on first!! Thank you, we all enjoyed our visit.

A wonderful lunch again today. We had booked to sit outside, but they kindly offered us a table indoors. We tried something different from their menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can’t wait to book again.
