Tomahawk Steakhouse - Yarm

Had the tea time special...excellent value for money and quality food. Staff very nice. Will definitely return. Couldn't fault anything at all an all round excellent experience.

a group booking of 7, some first timers in attendance. All food well received with positive comments all round. Fair to say we will all definitely be returning!

Usually eat at tomahawk in Potto but couldn't get a table for Sunday lunch so booked Yarm to give it a try. Firstly the food was excellent just as good as Potto. The negative was the fact the vegetables were not brought to the table with the meal. Five minutes for cauliflower cheese and a further five minutes for the rest. Not sure why the staff thought it acceptable to bring out part of a meal and the rest in stages. At nearly £90 for three Sunday lunches I expect better. I'm happy to pay for quality and the food certainly is but the service let's it down. I will stick to Potto in future.

Absolute world class steak fantastic service and overall a superb night. Went for my anniversary and it was well worth it I’ll be going back as soon as possible.

Only my opinion but ordinary menu and slightly over priced, seating could be better organized on a positive note nice starter & enjoyed the liquorice ice cream 🍨. :)

Lovely food and friendly staff. I got the Porterhouse and it was cooked very nicely. The outdoor seating area looked good although the we did not sit there.

Not what i had expected. The starters were ok, Garlic bread was stodgy and butter tasted spread on rather than cooked, prawns were served with a pickled salad too strong for subtle taste of prawns. Parmo was lovely and steak well cooked but chicken kebab was waste of money, wraps shop bought, cold and boring and salad served with onion way to strong and whole dish was lack lustre. Disapointed expected better.

Nice food could be a few more beers on draught would be a big difference. Overall really nice decor atmosphere and friendly staff. Fillet steak was amazing

Unreal food steak and all sides were perfect and great atmosphere

Steak very undercooked sent back twise lobster over cooked very rubbery not a patch on potto expensive meal out to not really enjoy it. Staff were very good tho and nice atmosphere

Delicious steak, I opted for the fillet and my friend had the Ribeye. Sides were lovely, sweet potatoes, rocket and Parmesan salad and summer greens. My steak has very very slightly over cooked but it could just just beennin my interpretation of medium rare/rare and it certainly didn’t take away my enjoyment. Staff were polite and attentive and I love the new roof terrace/toilet area. Would recommend and return.

Sunday lunch was dry, managed to burn the vegetables, the meat took forever to chew, one of us left 90% as was instantly disappointed, couldn’t wait to leave as had been looking forward to it however was let down.

Meal was amazing. Went with my husband and daughter. Lovely ambience, staff very attentive and the food was amazing. Only negative was that we struggled to find parking space as it was a Saturday.

The most beautiful food we have ever eaten. We have had some lovely meals over the years but this was amazing and stood out a mile. There were four of us out and we got four starters and all tried each other’s, they were all equally beautiful. I had the chicken Katsu for my main and it was stunning. The men got the wagyu fillet steak, it literally melted in their mouths, they said hands down the best steak they’ve ever eaten and worth paying that little bit extra to get the fillet. The range of sides available was amazing and they all complement the steaks really well. We tried a few different ones and they were all gorgeous. The after dinner cocktail was the perfect finisher. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere is fantastic. Thank you for the perfect evening, we will be back :)

We had an excellent meal. The service was perfect. We will definitely be returning. There is nothing more I want to say so this is just filling

I had the fillet steak which was amazing, with sides of sweet potato wedges which were the best I’ve ever had, my second starter was Mac and cheese which was tasteless. The restaurant was very noisy but good service. However I prefer the Potto restaurant.

The food was great and the service was lovely. Very nice restaurant would defiantly go back. Lovely little terrace to sit out on afterwards with a drink.

Lovely restaurant very nice atmosphere. The staff were really nice and the food was superb. We had the sharing platter.we couldn’t fault it . The meat was tender and well cooked . Chips were delicious too.

I brought my family who was visiting for the U.S. here for dinner this week. As always, they meal was fantastic. The Wagyu sirloin was so delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back soon!

Steak cooked to perfection 20 oz Porterhouse went down well, a tad expensive but worth it as a treat, restaurant very busy on a Friday night

The Food was lovely and tasty but service wasn’t great, waited a very long time to get our drinks repeatedly and the drinks were very over priced.

Staff could be a lot more attentive , and the sides could be a little bigger. The music was a bit to loud when you are trying to have a conversation.

Lovely surroundings. Food very good and service great! Choice on menu extensive. Will be going there again and recommending this restraint to all my family and friends.

We visited the Tomahawk Steakhouse last weekend and would highly recommend it the steaks are really tasty and the service is really good, we had the sharing board which is a brilliant idea if you want to try a bit of each one.

We went for a birthday and were all really happy with the service and food. We all had a different cut of meat and again all really pleased with the quality of the food. The champagne too helped!

Sharing platter was lovely as was the drinking terrace. Only down side was not being able to get a seat on the drinking terrace after our meal. However, overall a very nice evening- we will definitely be back

Visited on a busy Friday evening. Four of us had a wonderful meal. The steaks are first class. Pepper sauce the best Ive had!!! Service was friendly and professional. Loved it. Keep up the good work.

We ordered two tomahawk steaks between 4, asked for both to be medium rare. One of the steaks was cooked fine the other was more medium to well done. Wouldn't expect this when paying £60 for a steak. All sides were lovely, restaurant itself is a nice atmosphere. Service was a little bit slow.

Food was gorgeous definitely worth the price. Drinks overpriced - £4 per bottle of Peroni, and dessert overpriced for what it was. Service brill until the mains were cleared and we were sat waiting quite a while (with an empty table and no drinks) for the dessert menu but other than that no complaints and would definitely go back!

Great staff, great surroundings and the best steak I ve had in the UK. This combined with a supporting menu of sides and starter really made the meal one to remember, oh they do deserts as well but we never experienced them.

Great place, friendly staff, my steak was cooked to perfection and the mac n cheese was the best I’ve ever had! We will absolutely be back!

Lovely succulent meat I must say. As a man whom likes his meat this place really satisfied me. I will definitely return without a doubt.

This was our first time at the Tomahawk in Yarm. Our steaks were really delicious and cooked as we requested. There is also a great selection of desserts. Highly recommended!

The steak was lovely but slightly undercooked more rare than medium rare which made it quite chewy, regardless I ate it and enjoyed it, and the Mac and cheese/hash brown sides were also gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and top service, lush cocktails, and family all enjoyed their food too. Will be visiting again.

A good tasty meal in a great environment all 5 of the party enjoyed the food. The service was unobtrusive but when you needed something the staff were there.

First visit to this restaurant I will certainly be back. I had the ribeye steak this was the best steak I have eaten in the UK. Overall there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant.
