We were a party of 6 and all had a really enjoyable meal with good service. It was very noisy when we first arrived at 7.30pm and we could hardly hear each other speak - but it did quieten down after about an hour.

Perfect venue for a catch up with friends. Lovely atmosphere and great food.

From the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel welcome. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing, will definitely be going back.

100% recommend This is Livin. Went tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. Great food, service and atmosphere and well priced. The quality of the food is very good, portion sizes are very generous and it tastes delicious. This is a very family friendly restaurant, we took our 13 year old son with us and we noticed a number of people with young babies and children but that didn't detract at all from the very enjoyable experience of This is Livin. Go, you won't regret it!

When we got our bill there was a coke and a coffee that we did not have, also my daughter wanted blue cheese on her steak sandwich instead of the cheddar and we were charged 50p extra but were not informed, I will not be going here again.

We have been here before and each time our meals have been excellent, the place was busy but the service did not seem to suffer at all .

Fab food, great menu. Will return again, for many more nights out. Will recommend to all my friends. Staff attentive, great value for money, see you all again soon when I return.

Lovely venue. Staff were very helpful. The food tasted great. 7 in the group and no complaints. A little noisy at times but it is a bar too. We would most definitely book again.?

A lovely afternoon, roast dinner was lovely. The beef was a bit chewy but other than that it was really nice. Will go back again.

I was not happy with my meal it was cold and I felt I’ll during the meal it may have been the glass of wine I had before in future I will request a bottle of wine

The food was not very warm but this was soon sorted by the helpful staff. The meat on the roast dinner was to did for. Next time we will also order some extra roast potatoes as there wasn't many on the plate. But will definately be back.

Love it here. Very friendly staff and the food was very tasty and of good quality. Breastfeeding friendly too as I needed to feed my little girl and there was no issue.

Friendly and efficient service as always. We enjoyed a starter and roast dinner each. My only criticism was that I could’ve done with a steak knife to cut the beef. It didn’t taste tough so I think it’s just the knives need to be sharper!!

The service was brilliant, very pleasant staff. There was plenty of choice on the menu and the food was very tasty and plenty of it. The price was reasonable.

Very good set menu - decent choice at a good price. Reasonable service, good kids menu too. Not too noisy despite being busy. Could do with having wi-fi!

Baby’s mash was a bit hard and garlic cheese bread was really greasy , chips tasted better than they looked , but place and staff were lovely

Good service, wide range of food available in the menu. However one dish was quite salty and the other was over cooked!! Does have a nice outside area for a drink after.

Really nice meal! Had the swordfish. Just could have done with a bit potatoes and veg, for the price I feel there should have been more. Still tasty though.

I went with a friend we were first put by a window with the sun beaming through so we asked if we could move the staff were so accomodating. The staff were very polite but seemed that there was'nt enongh of them as it was very busy we went to sit outside befour are meal but the tables outside were littered with glass's. Are food was gorgeous. Afterwards we sat out in the open area and most of the tables were still in the same state as earlier they were lacking not enough staff sorry to say.

Very friendly welcome and service attentive as well. Food delicious as always, although my poached egg was a little over done.

Good food, good service what more can you ask for? We had chicken salad and chips and would definitely go again. Even the sun shone although they couldn’t take the credit for that

First visit to This is Livin however very disappointing to find 3 of the main course menu items not available including fillet steak, as had run out, not good when the menu is limited anyway. Sign of poor planning! Had to reorder drinks after 15 minutes as the order got mislaid. Also there was a group of 10-15 very loud young men initially sat outside but then moved inside at the bar, they were so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. After complaining the group were asked to lower their noise level but to combat it the music was turned up even louder. You don’t mind people enjoying themselves but when it affects other paying guests it’s a problem. As for the food very mediocre, starters were good Pear & Stilton salad and the nachos. Main course was a little salty and disappointed the Mediterranean vegetables roasted in far too much oil. Cheesecake dessert was ok. Overall a disappointing first visit to a place that needs to decide if they are a restaurant with a bar or find a better way to section off diners from drinkers. Will we return? Unlikely when there is so many other good options in the local area.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family. The only slight criticism would be the noise level - the restaurant was really busy but the acoustics accentuate the noise.

As it was Saturday it was busy which is to be expected but standing by the bar being ignored by staff for 15 minutes isn’t the best and not just on one occasion. The food was excellent tough and the service in the restaurant was very good. I think the place needs a doorman as lads walking around with tracksuits and caps is not the way forward.

Lovely atmosphere, good service. Only one vegetarian option which was disappointing. Staff did allow us to order an option from the lunch menu when we asked though but more choice should be available. This is our local and we want to return regularly, the lack of veggie option would really put us off.

It was a nice atmosphere, and the food was good for the early bird price of £12 (though I had beforehand thought that this was £10). The service was a bit slow however, bearing in mind that there were very few customers.

Fantastic afternoon for Mother's Day! Beautiful place! The food was excellent we both had starters, Roasted tomato soup and chicken liver pate, then beef roasts, cooked to perfection! Lovely, friendly attentive staff! Such a perfect day for my mum!

Staff were very nice and tried to accommodate us because my boyfriend wanted the live ribs!! And they didn’t have so he got a steak instead!! But overall was lovely food was very nice!

Good early bird £10 menu on a Tuesday night in February between 4-7pm. Nice ambience and very quick service, maybe too quick in fact. But we'll be back again.

Had a Lovely lunch with a friend as a birthday treat, the food was nicely cooked, and the service was impeccable- will definitely be back!
