Very pleasant and helpful service. Starters were nice, and particularly appealing were the fresh, warm breads. Main course was sadly disappointing - roast pork dinner contained the usual items, but was barely warm and was uninspiring/bland. The vegetables were well cooked (i.e. not soggy), but the meat looked (and tasted) as if it had come off a roll rather than the bone and the roast potatoes were overly large and heavy. Needed some pork off the bone to give both meat and gravy some taste, and perhaps some red cabbage to add some more flavour too. Would try again as previous meals there have been better.
The Vine Inn such a wonderful English country pub and the food is excellent. My Husband and I have visited here several times and it never ceases to impress. The 5 course meal and wines superb, especially like the crab cake with asparagus delicious. Also to have each wine explained where the grapes are grown and flavours in each to compliment the dish. The service was very good all in all a lovely memorable night.
Great to find a nice, friendly pub that has tasty Gluten-free options! Friendly staff, good service, we will most definitely be going back there again.
Very good value for money. Extremely wide choice on the menu for adults and children. There is literally something for everyone. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
The food is always perfect, the beer is great and the service is wonderful and combined with the location it's an amazing all round experience
Easy to park and a fantastic rural location. Excellent food from a menu with lots of choice and attentive service on a busy Saturday night.
Overall am average experience but it was a busy Saturday night, asked for mashed potatoes instead of chips but still got the chips. I would go again but maybe try a quieter night
Nice and friendly place. Good varied menu with something for everyone. We had the game pie and tagine. Both were well cooked and tasty. We would return. Thanks!
Very nice atmosphere The Vine has been updated really well but still retains its old character. Food was excellent freshly cooked & and was appreciated by friends who were visiting me from Aberdeen. They moan that one thing they do not have in Scotland is welcoming old English pubs
We have been to the Vine on numerous occasions and every time the food has been excellent. This was the first time we booked through Quandoo and I was bit dubious but everything work fine. The pub was busy on the night and it did take time for the food to arrive. Once again the food was excellent.
Food very good, service could be better and although several tables were free we were told to wait as our table wasn't ready! Eventually someone came and said we could have one of the free tables so not what I would expect after having booked. The score of 5 is for the food, without that it would have been a 2.
A wonderful country inn with a gentle, authentic atmosphere and fantastic, locally sourced food. The menu is varied and memorable and when the fire is lit this place is idyllic.
Very good. Not sure my mum enjoyed her haunch of venison as undercooked slightly. Everything else was perfect. Service great and atmosphere lovely. I'd go again.
Very enjoyable night, excellent food, choice and service. Lovely log fire, will definitely be somewhere we will return to often over the coming year.A little gem tucked away at the foot of Clent Hills.
Great food in excellent surroundings. The al a cart menu has a good choice along with the specials board. Normally a table d'hote menu is available, but this is replaced in December with a Christmas menu that needs to be booked in advance.
A quiet and quaint pub in a lovely location. Hidden in the countryside. Staff were very friendly and efficient. May want to change the music they play though
Fantastic food, chosen from a varied menu that suits all tastes. The atmosphere is always very pleasant, with helpful staff. Always a pleasure to dine here.
We had a superb evening meal. I had the aubergine main course which was full of rich tomato flavours and my companion had the game pie and went into raptures over both the filing and the pastry. The moules mariniere we had for starters were plump and beautifully prepared although the cream base was a little rich for our taste. We thought it excellent value and will certainly return.
We have been to many restaurants, but this lunchtime this meal was fantastic the starter of salmon and cray fish was lovely and the main tagine was delicious. Its so good we decided to go again on Easter sunday .
The Vine Inn provided friendly service, a warming real fire and good food (great selection of non-alcoholic drinks). Came in after a walk in the surrounding hills. Would definitely come again!
Visited with friends as a party of four. Lovely cosy pub with a nice atmosphere. Food was very good and prices reasonable. Would definately recommend.
Food was lovely but the wait to be served was too long at over an hour. People who came in after us had their food served before us too
Good quality well presented food. Pigeon breast main and a good creme brûlée. Shame it's not more well known as the food is excellent. Recommend
Very good service and quality of food. The staff was very friendly and postion of the pub was very good in the clent hills with seating by a running stream.
Lovely meal but service could have been better. Waiter even dropped drink down my coat and all over floor then left it there for someone else to clean up
The food (both quirky and original) was fantastic and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We would have no hesitation in eating there again or recommending The Vine to other diners. A wonderful experience, many thanks!
We went to the restaurant on Tuesday lunchtime between Christmas and New Year. The food was great, there was a good atmosphere with roaring log fire and good & pleasant service only slightly slow due to the very busy bar. Glad we booked!
this is a lovely pub and the staff are really friendly , we have being there a few times and always had a really good meal
Had a long dinner which was most enjoyable, food and service were very good. Roaring fire. The cheese was delicious. Wine was good value. Overall a lovely evening.
Great atmosphere in this very traditional pub. This was a taster evening prepared by their new chef to sample his delicious dishes. Wonderful food and excellent presentation.
We had an excellent meal on a special menu tasting evening. Congratulations to Tom the new chef and all the very professional and attentiative staff.
Tuesday lunchtime, no atmosphere and not many customers. Food was distinctly average and service was about the same. The crumble and custard pudding was so hot it must have been left in the microwave too long! Evidently the coffee machine was out of service, so we had to settle for instant. Oh dear, a not to be repeated experience.
Lovely cosy country pub.The food was of excellent quality. Tasty and served hot. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend. Having traveled from the Isle of Wight to visit family I am really pleased I chose the Vine for our lunch.
I have dietary problems but found the menu very good. The food was well cooked and very tasty. Staff were helpful. We will certainly go again.
We had a fantastic meal in a lovely country pub. The menu is creative and not the usual pub grub. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.
All jolly fine. Nice meal at fair price and good service. That should cover it all but to make up twenty five words I'll just..........
Very friendly but the dish i went to the place for was off the menu so i was dissapointed.
The food was amazing. The pub was very busy because it was bank holiday so we booked in advance. Service was excellent
The meal and service were lovely, will go again. The menu also had a varied choice. The portions were generous and well cooked. The atmosphere was welcoming.
Great meal with tasty large portions. Friendly and attentive staff. Reasonable price.
great service and lovely food at the Vine in Clent. Good value for money and generous portions
We booked a table for 6 on a Thursday lunch time. Everything went very well. The staff were attentive and polite. The menu was varied and had good choice. The food was freshly cooked to perfection. The whole experience was excellent. We have been before and would certainly go again.
10 out of 10 was very impressed lovely meal, already booked for Sunday cracking little pub restaurant and also sells real ale, happy days. 👌😋
The food was lovely...we had the two course special + coffee. The price was very reasonable & the place had loads of character. We were a little chilly in the restaurant the bar seemed a lot warmer. I will definitely visit again
