Great menu and fab food we were a table of 6 this Saturday really enjoyed it and will return lovely Decor too thank you ,
Can’t find a fault in experience. Food was fantastic and value for money
The service we received upon our arrival till after the lunch was outstanding and the food ,staff and cleanliness of the facilities was perfect ,cannot fault our lunch at all. Lovely fish sandwiches so filling didn't need dinner !🤗
Really nice food and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Even after a long day on mothers day they were still smiling and being polite!
Food & service excellent as usual even though it was a very busy day(Mothering Sunday) and the restaurant was full all day. Planning next visit
Always a pleasurable experience at the Vernon. Great atmosphere, great food and happy, accommodating and attentive staff. An true example of a well run country pub that others should follow.
We chose not to have a starter and therefore had to wait around 40-45 mins for our main to appear. We had a child with us but wasn’t offered the children’s menu until after I had made a choice from the std menu. Some of the waitresses seemed distracted and not very attentive.
We had a great Sunday lunch here at The Vernon, a lovely atmosphere, excellent value & a friendly team, we will definitely be back and would recommend to all.
Always a great lunch and fab friendly service. Perfect catch up place for our family of 6. Like seeing through to the kitchen as the chef prepares our food.
Excellent food, good menu choice ,staff friendly and attentive, good atmosphere spacing of tables was excellent plenty of space, even though it was Valentines Day
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch. Very good value. Good comfy surroundings. There was a good selection of real ales.
Very good evening, great food and service, lovely relaxing atmosphere.
Lovely food, reasonably priced with great and friendly service. Our favourite restaurant of choice in the area. Qe cannot recommend the Vernon Inn highly enough.
Lovely evening and great food . Only downside it was a bit noisy but was solved when moved to another table . Nice friendly staff .
Had a lovely Sunday lunch, staff were all super! Only slight complaint would be the delay in service but food was definitely worth the wait!
Nice evening with friends. The tables are too close together we could barely get in our chairs. Steak pie was great, flatbreads just tasted burnt. Chicken tikka starter, charred. I just don't like burnt food, sorry. Ordered prawn starter but mushroom was delivered, I was told I ordered mushroom! When garlic chilli prawn came it was delicious. Staff were scruffy but pleasant. Bit disappointed overall.
Good choice of food, beautifully presented and very tasty. Never leave here feeling hungry. Very attentive staff without feeling pressured to leave. Great evening. Will be back soon.
Really nice Sunday lunch for two....romantic even! Well looked after by staff. One mark off because veg was a bit overdone, but even that's a bit mean. Everything else perfect.
The Sunday Lunch menu is very good value for money. Friendly attentive staff and a pleasant dining area. Definitely recommended. Squid starter was a winner, roast main maybe a little bland compared to a couple of years ago, nice dessert.
Good food and a friendly service. The place is very nicely decorated and has a nice atmosphere. The only reason it's a 5 not a 6 is that when we visited on a Sunday, we found the menu slightly limited but we've not tried at any other time when the menu looks a bit more extensive. Would recommend.
This was our first time at the restaurant although we have passed it many times. The lunchtime snack menu was interesting and we will definitely be going back for an evening meal. Well worth a visit.
As a Boxing Day treat we decided to visit the Vernon Arms for lunch. We enjoyed the freshly cooked food that was served by the attentive staff. Overall experience was very good.
Superb as ever, great food, service and atmosphere. We spent another relaxing evening dining and drinking in the bar afterwards. I can recommend the Vernon
Good meal. Only negative was the soup was cold. Told waitress and she changed them(3). We did have to wait a little while but not too bad
Located on the main Droitwich to Feckenham Road with a large car park. Friendly service and tasty food. Would recommend The Vernon for lunch as it is not too busy during the week.
Excellent food, we all chose to order from the Lunch menu and were all very pleased with our choices. Very good value, comfortable and welcoming.
Very nice environment, good range of drinks at bar, good service and excellent food. We enjoyed drinks in the bar before moving into the restaurant area. The sharing combo is a great starter and all four main meals were excellent.
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Vernon. The service is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is comfortable. The food quality is very good, generous portions and reasonable prices.
Very friendly service, good food and reasonably priced lunch time menu. What else do you want and certainly would be happy to revisit this gastro pub.
Friendly, helpful staff, great food, good service and lovely atmosphere. Booked again for a family get together over Christmas and looking foward to it. A real gem.
Excellent food, good service, friendly atmosphere - could not be better. We had friends visiting from the north of England and they commented that it was the best meal they had had this year!
Went to the Vernon Arms for a special occasion. Friendly and helpful staff, nice setting, real ale but food was fairly average and a bit pricey for what you get. Had the Greek sharing starter which was ok, rack of lamb as a main which was good but the aubergines should be taken off as they were unpleasant and chewy and chocolate tart for dessert which again was ok. Would go again but not in the near future
Lovely venue with friendly staff. It’s a long journey to get there for us but worth every mile as the food is amazing and value for money
A lovely atmosphere. The waiting staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and wanted to make sure everything was alright. I found the use of sauces on the food (both starters and main) masked the food too much for my liking.
Welcoming atmosphere, pleasant service and decent food, my starter a little colder than expected. Overall, enjoyed the experience, my wife and I plan to return soon with friends
Very welcoming and friendly service, food was good we had the Thai curry fresh ingredients but lacked any spices . It was very quiet we visited on a Wednesday night , well worth a second visit on a Friday or Saturday evening .
Lovely family meal. Excellent, friendly service. Good range of gluten free options. Only problem was that my dessert which was advertised as gluten-free, came accompanied by two biscuits on the same plate which were not gluten-free. Not a real problem for me as I am not coeliac, but for others it could be serious. Definitely recommend to others, will eat at the Vernon again.
We had a truly FANTASTIC evening. The food was divine and the presentation second to none. The chefs are to be congratulated. Total perfection. The young lady who looked after us was incredibly efficient, totally professional and exceedingly attentive. My friend was presented with an impromptu birthday cake at the end of the meal, and was overjoyed by the incredibly kind and generous gesture. My husband and I have dined at the Vernon many times, and we have never been disappointed.
Excellent meals, smart surroundings and pleasant and welcoming staff. Can't understand why it wasn't more popular. Easy to book online. Altogether a great place to visit with friends.
Food and service were very good indeed - only slight problem there was nobody else in the restaurant! We have visited before, usually at lunchtime, and enjoyed all visits.
Staff were very pleasant. The sandwich was disappointing though - the bread was limp and the chicken a dry (it needed salad or sauce probably both).
Lovely evening. Good food in lovely surroundings. Didn't feel pressured to leave once we had eaten. Great friendly service Will return very soon I hope.
Another evening of fantastic food. This time had the house specials, so not something you can have just anywhere, and they were delicious. Great service too so would definitely recommend the Vernon
Ambience poor. Food quality poor on 2 out of 4 meals. Staff attitude regarding returned meal very poor. Will not visit again in the future.
Great location, nice menu and hard working staff. Do feel that the staff are rushing so much that there could be a little bit more of a personal touch eg. service with a smile, customer attention.
Not sure what to expect - booked for 6pm on a Tuesday evening. Excellent! Great food. Great friendly service. Reasonably priced. Quite enjoyed the music too! Would definitely recommend!
The meal was delicious but unfortunately there was only one waitress to cover the restaurant which delayed the service. She coped well under the pressure!
All 7 of us really enjoyed our evening. Pleasant staff and the food was excellent. We had 2 of the sharing platters as our starters. Very enjoyable and value for money,
Amazing food and location. As good a Sunday lunch as have had anywhere. Private dining available and options to sit outside over looking the Worcestershire countryside
Our first time at the Vernon Arms. We were very impressed. Had to wait quite a while for our food but when it was explained that the Italian Chicken was cooked to order that was fine. My husband said it was the best chicken meal he had had in a restaurant. The sweets were amazing. Very good value for money, we will definitely be going there again. Nice surroundings in a lovely area in Hanbury.
