We arrived at 7:30 having booked online and were sat down at a table. It was then 20 minutes before we got a drink in front of us!!!!!!

Fantastic menu & food! Was spoilt for choice. Excellent drinks menu with recommended mixers. Quirky place with lots of atmosphere. Staff friendly & helpful. Great find & highly recommend.

Absolutely disgusting with noisy kids running around. Asked to be moved but told unable to do so. Should have put the kids party in separate room rather than with adults out for a quiet meal. Never going back and will warn others not to go

Absolutely dire! We have been wanting to visit this place since it reopened and were seriously disappointed with the quality of the food. Be advised and keep well away - there are many better places nearby.

Usually really enjoy our time at the Unicorn but this time we were barely greeted at the bar when we 1st arrived & on subsequent visits to the bar. It was as though we had arrived between shifts & no one seemed bothered about serving us. There were plenty of serving people around but most were sat down sorting out condiments. We also asked about the 2 for 1 on kebabs but were told that as we were having the Sunday set that we couldn't combine offers & when I got home I realised we hadn't been given the set deal either. Feeling a little disappointed & we've been asked to come again with friends & am feeling a little hesitant Rgds Anna

The restaurant was holding a private party and the buffet was served in the main restaurant, absolutely mayhem. Extremely bad planning on behalf of the management. We did get compensated in the bill, but it spoilt a special evening with my Sister who was visiting me for the weekend. Couldn't fault the food, it was lovely.

Mixed review really. Pizza - excellent as always and good value . Pie - excellent as always and good value. Prawn cocktail starter - oh dear, got it seriously wrong there. £6.50 for a handful of prawns, 2 lettuce leaves and 3 croutons. This was no way value for money, and let the meal down. Shame .

Lovely atmosphere, is our go-to in winter as we love the sunday carvery! One thing i would say (although i understand is hard to keep up) the cleanliness of the outside tables! We had a few dead flies and food marks on our table. Overall a lovely restaurant with very friendly staff, would reccomend

Restaurant very empty, but a 45 min wait for food.

Sadly disappointed. We have been here before but not for Sunday carvery. Took ages for someone to acknowledge us and show us to our table. I was thinking we were invisible!!! Drinks order........hope you diners aren't thirsty. Had our order taken quite quickly but it took two chase ups to get our drinks. What was annoying is that this was 4.30 pm. Not exactly packed to the rafters!!! Meal was ok but nothing special. Meat joints were all the end bits and dry. I can't forsee we'll be returning any time soon. Shame, but there are better places around.

We drive past the Unicorn's head quite a lot. The menu that can be viewed on the website looks great. We decided to book on Saturday night. There was a wedding party there, so we had a table in the bar area. We were made to feel very welcome and young Chris who served us is an absolute star! The food was beautiful. Would deffo recommend and we will certainly be going back to sample more of the excellent menu.

Long wait time on food. Waited over an hour and desert took half an hour despite being 2 pieces of cheesecake from the deli

We always enjoy dinner at the Unicorn's Head. The pizzas are amazing - even with a gluten free base!

Our experience was very good, it was our first visit in a long time but it won't be long before we're back.
