Food good. Service very poor. Room was cold. Generally felt it was overpriced. Unlikely to go again in the near future. It was disappointing really.

Seated In cold ingested area, food took 70 mins to arrive, was cold when it did arrive, and lamb and beef was tough. Skipped dessert and won’t be returning. Seems to have gone downhill.

Excellent traditional meal in a famous, and delightfully unspoilt, river-side tavern. The menu was not over-long offering a good choice. Service was good, not fussy. Terrific river views.

Really lovely setting and great views of the river. Food was OK, we had chicken and pork roast dinners. Both of which were warm, not hot, and the taste was average. Service was poor, we had to strain to get attention for basic service and had to ask for the bill 3 times.

Was very cold in the area we were sitting. The food was nice though not hot and Yorkshire pudding burnt. The merlot was lovely though. Staff not very attentive apart from when we were paying !

The ambience very nice, with a great view of the river, and the décor looks authentic. I had a chicken salad that was poor but the chocolate fondant dessert was one of the best I've had. Friends enjoyed their meals...more hearty than a salad. I'd go back and try something else.

Very atmospheric old pub on the banks of the Thames in historic Greenwich. Small but decent brunch menu, with some breakfast classics. Service adequate, but maybe a little quiet on a Sunday morning.

A great place to enjoy Sunday lunch with the family, whilst enjoying wonderful views of the River Thames. Need another seven words for word count.

The restaurant has a great location and the service is adequate rather than brilliant. Pies were delicious and the fish and chips and the mussels were very good. Plenty of garlic bread with the latter. Calamari starter, nice but overpriced. 8 pieces £8. Wine choice good.

Very smart pub in a great location. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent (homemade fougasse, lobster ravioli). Nice wine too, reasonably priced.

A lovely pub, located right on the river front - which is a little disconcerting at high tide! Wonderful staff, delicious food and great views...recommend for all types of diners/pub-goers

Amazing meal for my daughter's 21st birthday. The food was of excellent quality the staff were very friendly. All accompanied by an excellent view across the river. The only slight issue was that because we had pre ordered, the food came out very quickly which didn't leave enough time between courses.

Food was fine, nice location. Their website says the venue accepts dogs but failed to mention they are only welcome in the bar area which was a shame.

This pub has a great location and general ambiance. Like the Thames it sits by, it has ebbed and flowed many times over the decades.Great views and great service. Traditional pub food but with good beer. It can be very busy on a tourist day but it can be one of the great ‘window spots’ to drink a beer and watch the river go by on a quiet day.

Good service, we ordered sharing platter for starter which was lovely, main course pie with veg and chips for me. Overall good experience except chips seems to have been cooked about 5 and mulled wine not best I’ve had.

Prachtig uitzicht op de Thames en goed pub-food. Leuke omgeving in historisch Greenwich. Personeel is aardig en behulpzaam. We aten hier met een groep van zeven op een woensdagmiddag.

This was a late lunch for 10 people. The food was really good and everyone enjoyed the views of the Thames and Canary Wharf all lit up in the background. The only quibble was when we ordered the wine and water, they forgot and we were left waiting for 15 minutes before we prompted them. Not sure why this was as it was really quiet in the restaurant at the time. Thereafter the service was good.

We were highly recommended to this beautiful building with lovely views of the River Thames. It is certainly an attractive and unusual place to eat. However, on a very cold day the room itself was far from warm, and we did wait a long time for our meal in a nearly empty restaurant. When it arrived, not everyone`s meal arrived together, so the first ones were on the table at least 10 mins before the last one was served. What a shame - huge potential in this restaurant. Service was however cheeful and friendly.

Excellent meal and service - beautiful setting - the Trafalgar really does have a lot to offer. Sunday lunch was ace. We had beef and lamb and both were perfect. Chocolate Fondant was delicious and it's good to see they do a wheat free version for members of the non-wheat-eating community.

Food very expensive and very very average Toilets shocking incredibly dirty Not value for money!would not go again Such a shame because the position if pub is excellent With a proper chef it could be a gastronomic pub instead of a reheated mass bought pre prepared food pub

It was nice enough inside but the food was bland sand very unremarkable. Service was inconsistent, sometimes give, other times very slow but always polite. I would personally not visit again as I did not enjoy my food.

Slow service for small things like no salt on table, did get some after about 10 minutes while food was getting cold and was told “ we have run out “ l don’t believe it , same with lack of spoon with desert. Not a big problem but anoying, having said that we did enjoy the food which was very good Sunday lunch and loved the view across the Thames and a very nice dinning room, will give it another go.

We were welcomed immediately on arrival and led to our table, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout, without being overbearing. The setting and view are a large part of the attraction here, but the food was also admirable, and I particularly appreciated presentation and taste of our starter salads. Would come again!

Usually the food is great at the Trafalgar but unfortunately on this occasion the roast lamb and the vegetable medallion both suffered from a watery gravy that had no real flavour, and it made both meals really mushy. Nothing else on the plates felt particularly special either. And for £18.00 i'd expect more than just two thin slices of lamb for a "roast." Hopefully it was just an off day in the kitchen...

Great food, shocking service. All of the food we ate was great, but for some reason we (and the other tables we could see) were left unattended for an hour after we finished our main course. In the end we had to ask for the dessert menu, and then the dessert itself was rather slow to arrive after ordering. I’d probably come back, but only if I’m not in a hurry!

Always a pleasure to relax and eat at the Trafalgar Tavern. Lovely to get a table by the window as requested, watching the river life go by and settling into the so comfy tub chairs around our table. The choice of traditional english fare with imaginative twists (samphire in the creamy delicious sauce that came with my steamed mussels, perfectly cooked scallops with salty bursts of bacon). Fish and Chips declared 'best ever tasted' the batter is sublime encasing succulent fish. Beef cooked exactly as asked with delicious, rich jus sauce. I could go on but you'll find out yourself with you eat there. The Trafalgar inspired interiors are intriguing, with subtle details and wall to wall historic paintings, drawings, etchings. Authentic totally unspoilt and a delight to be in. Mature D attentive to exactly the right degree, no irritating hovering to be found and other staff equally great. Good when you have any visitors staying as a real proper London river treat and anytime you want to have a relaxing, enjoyable meal.
