Nice restaurant, expensive for a pub, service a bit slow, but generally it was very good, parking is a problem, not the pubs fault. Greenwich council are ripping us off, deterring people visiting by car, I spent £20.00 on parking.

Great service, great views, great menu. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We went for lunch and had a table overlooking the river. It is just a short walk from the City Sark.

The staff were very helpful though harder to find as busy lunchtime got underway. Great table with a fantastic view of the river. Restaurant was a little smarter than we wanted with 4 children under 7 and an infant in the party. Staff were very welcoming but some of the other customers distinctly not. Portions were huge and the roasts good though some of the fish a bit underwhelming.

+ Good atmosphere and friendly staff. - Kitchen closed at the time of our reservation. However we had the time to enjoy the place and the meal.

Lovely place. Delicious food. The roast beef was amazing and the desserts... irresistible. It was our first time there but not the last one, for sure.

Nice food although not many choice. They served traditional English pub food like fish and chip, mash. We sat in the restaurant area with a very nice river view. The price of the food is the same as you sit at the bar area.

The staff were friendly and the food was tasty but I think it was a bit over priced. It was the finer details that were missing I think because the waiting staff didn't have set areas we had several come to our table but they didn't seem to know what was happening as it was someone different each time. E.g. Not all of our party had a starter which seemed to confuse them a little and I had to ask for a steak knife for my main meal amongst other things. Nothing major and overall helpful but not as smooth an experience as it could have been especially for the price.

Visited restaurant on Saturday 25.03.2017, very busy but nice restaurant. Even though it was busy in the pub part, the dinning area was spacious. The service was good, food was fantastic and the portions are very big. Our group only had Main and Dessert and we struggled to eat our main dishes due to the size of the portions. Most of us had the fish which was fantastic and one had pie which was also thoroughly enjoyed. Was quite pricey but based on location and food, I would expect this. Would highly recommend to others. I would recommend booking as it was quite busy when we arrived and as we had booked, we did not have to wait.

The Trafalgar is a good, historic pub in a wonderful location. Overall, it's a good place for a pleasant meal - this was not our first visit. Having said that, it's also fair to say, I think, that although the food at The Trafalgar is good on the whole, it is not exceptional; service on this visit was OK but a bit charmless and a tad slow, and it would have been difficult to justify paying as much as we did in any other pub. Room for improvement!

I mistakenly thought I had booked our table for 13.30, however it was for 13.00 - the staff held our table, called me, and we're extremely gracious when we arrived. The food was amazing as always, and the view over the Thames unbeatable! My only area for improvement would be to add more vegetarian options to the menu.

We had a lovely time. Great views and very wonderful and welcoming staff. This was a very busy Mother's Day visit and despite the place being packed we were well looked after and the Sunday roast was really great.

Very helpful with good service. Easy to book online and one of the only places in London that would accept a large group booking on a bank holiday! Thank you

We went on a very busy Saturday lunchtime, there was also a wedding on, so took a long time to get served at the bar, they could have done with more than 2 bar staff! Table was booked for 2.30 and we were seated by this time. Food good but had a long wait between courses. Highlight was pudding, the chocolate fondant and sticky toffee pudding were delicious.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Trafalgar Tavern. We were a party of 10 and the Trafalgar handled seamlessly a last minute increase in numbers & our slightly late arrival, despite being extremely busy. We were given a lovely table looking out onto the river and enjoyed a very relaxed meal - food was good, portion sizes were very good and service was excellent. We never felt hurried and there was a perfect amount of time between courses. Special thanks to our lovely waiter who was very patient with the slightly chaotic food/drink ordering you get with a large group & amused when we thought he was Australian (he was from Greenwich!)! The Trafalgar itself has elegant decor, is spacious (but cosy with the log fire) & has a very friendly atmosphere - we will definitely be back :) !

Very attractive pub with festive decorations everywhere but the afternoon tea was very poor quality. We were served sandwiches in 3s between 2 of us and 3 macaroons so we had to break things in half. The cake slices were really uneven and as they had run out of cream for the scones they served us philadelphia cream cheese and jam without saying a word. It was only after we had spread the cheese that we realised it. If you run out of something you should apologise and tell the customer not hope they won't notice! My son who doesn't like cake also had to wait over half an hour for a soft drink and an hour for a burger! It was really empty in there so it can't be because they were rushed off their feet! Overall worst afternoon tea I've had in a while. We did ask for manageress in the end and she gave us complimentary prosesseco and didn't charge for the burger, but they do need to sort their kitchen out!

Booked under the impression me and my boyfriend would be getting the set Christmas meal. Turned up on Christmas Eve to find even though we booked through the Christmas meal link, because we didn't specify on our booking we had to have the normal meal. Which in all honestly out a downer on our meal. Then the sausages and mash we ordered was poor to say the least... won't be returning to the trafalgar tavern.

Good food - the whitebate are fantastic (as always), atmosphere and location are great. Like the fact they have an area sectioned off for dining only as well as the bar area where you can also get food.

Lovely restaurant overlooking the river. Watched the Sunset with my Sister as we enjoyed the 2 course set menu with a glass of wine. Portions were big & the service was excellent. Recommend to anyone wanting a meal while listening to the waves.

Service was good. Food was good. One quibble: The menu item `Whitebait': a collective name for the fry of many fish species, was comprised solely of sprats (Sprattus Sprattus) fried in a coating of (spiced) flour. There was a lot of it and it tasted great. But these were mature fish of length three to four inches and not quite what I was expecting. Our table looked out over the river; a great location. Go there!

In the historic setting on the river Thames the Trafalgar pub and resturant has been an old favourite of the family to get together. It is friendly and the interior is slightly faded glory which is perfect for such an old building . The staff are welcoming and the service is speedy and attentive without being overbearing . Sunday lunch is perfect and done in great british style . It's a full plate and every mouthful is tasty. You will feel warm and cosy and well fed. Where ever you sit the wonderful paintings and prints of sailing ships and seascapes will remind you of the history that this place has seen .

We had an excellent evening with good service and tasty, well cooked food. The only reason I did not give a 6 marking was because there was no soya milk for my coffee. Apart from that it the staff were most helpful and although the restaurant was full the service was friendly and efficient.

As promised the Trafalgar had reserved us a river view table whicb was great. The starter of olive bread was amazing and good as a shared option...fresh and straight out the oven. Followed this with their fish and chips which i overheard from the neighbouring table was their specialitity and did not disappoint. Staff were friendly and would go again.

Food was excellent, best fish we've had in a long time. Service was polite although lacked a little enthusiasm. Requested a table with a view when booking and we were given a table with a lovely view overlooking the Thames. Unfortunately there was not much atmosphere but this could be because it was a quiet Monday night.

The service was good but not great. One guy did not understand me when I asked where the restaurant was! We were brought water and a menu straight away and the timing of the food was excellent. The food itself was wonderful. Mussels in white wine and cream sauce cooked to perfection. The Pearl barley risotto was creamy and light with a little bite left in the barley. Sides of onion rings and house salad with a mustard seed dressing were also excellent. The onion rings were extremely crunchy (which I love) and the house salad was enough for both of us. Pudding of crème brûlée and a chocolate fondant with ice cream were both warm enough to eat straight away and we're both excellent. Overall I had a great time and throughly enjoyed myself. We were sat near the window so had a beautiful view of the Thames at sunset too.
