Had Sunday lunch today at the Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich... great food, courteous staff and great setting this is a great place to enjoy a lovely afternoon!
Overall an excellent place, the Sunday roast was great although the roast potatoes felt a little reheated and the gravy could have been thicker! But the wine was great and the setting is beautiful, maybe I'll try the bar next time for a slightly more relaxed vibe!
Went on evening on Friday as couple, very scenic location, polite bar staff where I was served prompty when seen. Accomodated my request to use voucher on the night. Would go again without hesitation.
Food was excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly. We were seated at a table by the window with great river views. The restaurant was very busy so my advice would be to book in advance if going on Sunday.
We booked a table for a meal with our kids and were given one with a beautiful view of the Thames. The beer was in very good condition and they had a nice range (though possibly one too many pale ales). The food was very nice service was really pleasant and efficient. We'll be back for sure.
We were worried that in August we might not get a table. For lunch at the time we arrived it wasn't a problem but the restaurant was delightful and we were glad we'd booked. The service was attentive and professional and the food every bit as good as I remembered it to be. With its wonderful position what's not to like?
The Service was good as was the whole experience. We shall go there again as soon as we possibly can. Great views from the Restaurant over the River Thames.
Very pleasant location and excellent service at competitive prices. Food more than adequate and sense of historic Britain was very evident with many pictures and paintings carefully hung all around.
Great Sunday roast and big portions. Freshest veg I've eaten in a long time. Service was a little stretched so we had to wait longer than we'd like for dessert to come.
Enjoyed the experience. Lovely whitebait and excellent skin on fries. Pleasant service good riverside table. No doubt we'll go again sometime. Good choice of drinks.
Received such lovely service from Ben! He treated us like kings while we ate and drank the afternoon away for my graduation. Lovely ! :-D
Really nice services and beautiful views of the Thames as the sun was setting. Food was delicious and allowed us to enjoy our bottle of wine long after we'd finished eating.
Great atmosphere and staff centrally located within central London. Great choice of food on the menu. Staff couldn't do enough to look after us will definitely be back again
Good. Thought it was a bit odd to put a table of two next to a table of four in an otherwise empty restaurant. Good was good and service great though
GREAT COMFORTABLE SEATS GREAT VIEW GREAT FOOD FRIENDLY SERVICE. GREAT SUNDAY ROAST GREAT WHITE BAITS GREAT BEER. WHAT MORE TO ASK FOR. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Disappointed to not have the table by the window I requested apart from that all good very busy because of the hot weather but I booked months ago
Great location by the river Thames and a really good atmosphere. Could spend hours looking at the paintings in the restaurant section. Good food and very friendly service
Lovely views, friendly staff, food good. We arrived late but they were very accommodating and we were seated straight away with a smile. Would recommend.
Great venue - friendly staff . We were a party of nine and our request for a window seat was fulfilled . Food good - wine a bit pricey
Excellent food - my lamb was cooked to perfection. Staff noted my allergies so I could have the desert I wanted. Really relaxed atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more.
Great food in a beautiful historic environment right on the river. We visited on a Friday night and there was live music in the main bar. We ate in the restaurant where it was a bit quieter. Definitely worth a second visit.
Excellent we really enjoyed the food. great view and lovely staff. It was my friends 70th birthday and she had never been to Greenwich so a super part of our special day.
Fish & chips and service was great. Dessert was good...but after the fish and chips we had high standards which weren't quite met with the lemon meringue pie and chocolate mousse.
I have been going here for years: superb good, wonderful setting and lively relaxed luncheon atmosphere. Some perennial favourites on the menu plus new dishes. Great experience.
This was a disappointing visit on a Sunday evening , especially as I took my American cousins. While the view was excellent as ever and the waitress tried hard, the food was not at all good. Our meals came out separately over more than 10 minutes. The Sunday roasts were pretty poor and had been waiting around, and the chicken seemed under-cooked. I went several years ago for lunch and the food was great, now I wouldn't go again and would't recommend it.
Good food. Polite service. We enjoyed our meal. Staff should perhaps be trained a little as regards cask beer. It was overall a good experience.
Pretty shocking service. We had to ask for menus and were waiting 10-15 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order. Food was fairly average. It is a shame, as the location and venue are fantastic.
Food was ok but service was very poor. Inattentive staff who had to be asked for items several times, still made mistakes and omissions and then added £10 service charge to the bill. Won't be back here to eat.
The Trafalgar Tavern is a very good place to eat, We have had good meals for a long time in this restaurant. Food and service is very good also to watch the sun go down over London on a super Friday night is one of the pole positions in London.
Great food, great service, great view/setting. Highly recommend! The position and view are unbeatable - pub-like food but with restaurant like service/presentation. A great experience.
We had a great table overlooking the Thames. The restaurant is a lovely room too. The service was good. Chose the fish and chips but I think the chips were a little undercooked.
Staff were lovely, we had a delicious "proper" fish and chips lunch at a table with amazing river views. Highly recommend booking in advance to ensure getting a table.
The server was delightful. However, the kitchen was a disaster. We waited over 45 minutes for our dinner order because they "were having problems with the chef." Then another 25 minutes for 2 scoops of ice cream, a tart, and coffee/tea. Food was above average, but we would not go back for dinner again. A lovely setting and a beautfiul pub.
The food was amazing and so was the location. The receiving at the bar was not at all just one girl who helped us in the end. The rest had internal problems that had to be dealt not in public near the customers. First 5 minutes I got there, I felt treated very bad. It was my anniversary and my partner's. Anyway will come back maybe for the location and for the food, however, the personnel needs to solve their problems inside and not make others feel bad.
A beautiful room with a spectacular view of the river. Delicious food and absolute excellent service. The Sunday roast was among the best we have ever had. A great choice in Greenwich.
Lovely setting and environment. Four of us had Sunday lunch , beef, pork, chicken, lamb all of which were nice. It was a bit but pricey though. I suppose that you pay for the setting.
Dinner wasn't great . Have visited several times previously But for the evening meal the quality really suffered, shame as I m use to great service and food quality here
Overpriced for mediocre food though beautiful views. Charging a premium for location only. Good beer selection but roasts not recommended perhaps better for just a drink.
Great location, nice food and excellent cocktails! We were having a day in Greenwich and The Trafalgar had been recommended to us. We had a great table overlooking the river and spent a very enjoyable couple of hours eating, drinking and watching the world go by!
The restaurant offers a great view upon Thames. We visited on a Friday evening and we were almost alone in the restaurant. The food was great and the staff friendly.
A beautiful day so very busy in Greenwich but lovely service in the restaurant. Food fresh and tasty, too full for dessert !!! The waiter was attentive new and learning the ropes but a character!! Next time will go out of tourist time!
Lovely atmosphere and good food. This was a really great pub for a family get together - efficient and friendly service and priced appropriately for the area
Great location on the river. The restaurant menu is fairly short but the fish and chips were very tasty. Service very friendly would definitely visit again.
Historic pub on river front. Can be very busy. Our table had great view. LLimited menu, we had fish and chips. Not cheap but worth it for the location.
Beautiful views by the thames, a perfect place to enjoy a sunday lunch. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. Best to book earlier in the afternoon to ensure they have all options remaining.
Vegetables and mashed potatoes stone cold. The chicken pie filling was far too sloppy and more like a soup. They did offer to give us an alternative main course when we complained.
We had a very pleasant evening - the meal was good with very generous portions. Service was efficient even though it was a very busy time. I would recommend it.
Had a great time. Got a seat by the window overlooking the Thames which was lovely! The food is also very nice! Would definitely recommen!
I have been using this pub for many years now and the restaurant has always been a bit up and down. I am glad to say it is in an up turn now. Very nice meal, no room for pud unfortunately.
A great location, right next to the river at Greenwich. Very popular, serving very good food and drink in a bustling environment. Efficient, friendly service.
