It's always a great pub for a roast on a Sunday or the quiz on a Tuesday. Food is lovely and well worth coming back to time and time again

Really loved the place. Great food, service and atmosphere (Tuesday so quiz night which we hadn't realised but was entertaining). Even thought it had a good layout - great cocktails too!

Very attentive service from when we arrived until when we left. The food was all very tasty. We had a slight mix up with one of the main dishes but the staff were very apologetic and offered us a replacement or complimentary dessert.

Great food helpful staff and a palatable Rioja for £17 a bottle. The lamb tagine was really tasty and the banoffee pie really fresh and substantial.

Kitchen closed earlier and they didn't ask if we wanted desert before closing. Service was good. We wished they didn't have the football on at the time. Food was very nice.

I love the Tommyfield, the staff there are always so nice. The food was great, I would definitely recommend the scotch egg. It's a nice neighbourhood pub.

The Tommyfield is one of the best pubs in the Kennington area. It has delicious food with an incredible atmosphere. It is definitely somewhere you will go back to again and again.

Have eaten here several times and enjoyed good food and service on all occasions. Can also highly recommend the comedy evenings they run from time to time - very reasonable and a fun way to spend an evening.

Sadly the food didn't arrive hot but the waiter was very accommodating and returned it to the kitchen. Good atmosphere, a slight shame the food wasn't totally delicious.

excellent staff, comfortable atmosphere. A friendly local pub and one which provides the space and comfort to meet friends. Also dog friendly. Was offered a bowl of water for mine and a glass of wine for me.

The Pie was awesome. The Mussels, not so much. The server's knowledge of the wine was not so great. Overall, a lovey atmosphere at lunch and a good location. Perhaps a little overpriced, but reasonable with a tastecard. As a former waiter of many years, I am always a little irked when there's a service charge added to a bill (other than for large tables). Especially when the setting is not formal - in this place it is pub grub, not a proper restaurant - and the service is equally informal. The bill came to £25, of which over £4 was service charge. That's obviously worked out before the tastecard discount, and seems a little excessive. In my experience people tend not to dispute these "optional" service charges out of embarrassment, but people instead simply choose not to go back. So this might be a bit of a short-sighted cash grab on the part of management...

As with all the pubs in the Three Cheers chain, the Tommyfield does excellent food, wine and beer. Prices a little high but justifies it.

Lovely venue, lovely food. Only slight problem was that the waitress struggled to understand us sometimes. It was a bit annoying when trying to order food.

Staff were really nice and helpful. regularly came and checked on our table. the food wasn't as great as my previous visit which was disappointing. I had lamb chops and the presentation was great and looked like there was loads, but when I actually ate it it was basically just all bone and fat, I barely got a mouthful of meat, very disappointing.

Top notch Sunday roasts, both meat and veggie. One of our party had the fresh pasta which was delicious but a rather small serving in comparison to every else's roast lunch however would be our only criticism. Overall an excellent experience, the staff were very welcoming and they cater for kids too.

Consistently great food. A good place to go if you have kids, and were very accommodating towards one of our guests who had brought her dog with her. Have been countless times over the years and everything we have had from their menu has been spot on.

Food is nice for a quick lunch but not a fan of pets whilst I eat. Place smelled of the dog basket which greeted us. I had a burger, can get better at gbk for cheaper. Only went as 50% off otherwise a bit pricey.

Great evening. They changed the screen over to put the tennis on for me, food was great too. Only it did seem a bit dingy in there but that could be fixed with turning some more of their lights on that they just hadn't! Will go again

As usual a lovely meal. We did however ask them to take the 16.5% service off the bill (something to do with the fact we used a Taste card) and left 10% in cash instead. Slightly awkward!
