We all really enjoyed the food, there were good portion sizes. The venue was easy to find, just outside Waterloo station. We would all return, the staff were friendly and welcoming too. Very much enjoyed.

The menu and service were excellent but my choice was too spicy and salty for me - and I eat a lot of curries. Others at the meal agreed with me. The restaurant is very conveniently situated, just a few minutes' walk from Waterloo station- but you need to like hot, salty curry to really enjoy this curry house.

An hour wait for our main course, however, we all had a lovely meal when it finally arrived. This would not put us off going again.

Very conveniently located close to Waterloo station. Food was very good, the Goan Fish Curry was lovely and the Lamb Shank was wonderful. Service good.

Great food and excellent service, we will definitely go back! Easy access as it is so close to Waterloo, so very convenient from almost anywhere.

Good food and can't fault the place except can get a little slow when extremely busy. Which, as it's good, is often the case. But still worth trying for yourself to confirm its good. And so convenient for the railway station/tube for journey home after work.

Lovely food and very welcoming staff. The restaurant was bustling and noisy and the close proximity of tables meant we chatted to our neighbours which we really enjoyed, so not ideal for couples or people wanting a quiet meal. The portion sizes are on the small size but plenty for me, a female, although our male companions would have liked more.

Service was excellent and the food variety and taste were very good. We had to wait for a table longer than we thought but in the scheme of things it was no big deal. Very busy but the staff did extremely well and the restaurant looked very neat and clean.

Food was very good, lots of layered flavouring exactly what you hope for while being realistic about what is essentially a standard curry house. The restaurant was a little warm, but staff were friendly if a little over quick to clear.

Best Indian restaurant in London go there if you want great tasting food and great service. I've been there twice and tried the naga chicken and butter chicken. Amazing

The service is a bit clumsy but the food is awful. Literally diced, defrosted chicken in a microwave sauce. The menus are tatty and food stained, and there's an exposed electrical cable poking out of the wall!

Delicious meal, and although when we arrive at 5:30pm it was very quiet, it filled up in the next half hour, so worth booking. A lovely meal and well worth visiting, and not too expensive.

We were a large party of nine. We had booked but the restaurant looked full (a good sign for a Monday night). However they quickly showed us to a room upstairs, which was perfect for our good-humoured celebration. We had our own waiter, the service was efficient, and the food good - not run-of-the-mill Indian- if not outstanding. Still we would thoroughly recommend The Thames.

My friends and I were very happy with our meal at The Thames. We arrived on time (8 pm) and were seated immediately. We were promptly served with drinks and were asked for our orders after just the right time. We were all very happy with the food, which was served in good time by courteous staff. Everything was very clean and the décor and ambience were pleasant too. I look forward to going back to this restaurant!

Lovely restaurant. Good food. Good service. Good ambience. It wasn't life-changing food, but definitely a solid choice for a casual evening of indian food. The house wine was very drinkable. Chicken korma was deliciously sweet and their mango chutney was so more-ish.
