Excellent main courses, plenty of variety. Interesting starters. Out of my party of 11 no one complained and were very happy. Great service and restaurant was very accommodating when my party increased from 8 to 11 last minute.
Ok. Service hood but motor panir main was low on peas and panir, and mostly a yellow sauce. Friends enjoyed their lamb and chicken dishes. Daal makhani side was good.
Excellent Food ( very good range on the menu) & Service. Buzzy atmosphere on a Thursday evening. Very convenient location for Waterloo station. We will be back !!!
Lovely restaurant. Good food. Good service. Good ambience. It wasn't life-changing food, but definitely a solid choice for a casual evening of indian food. The house wine was very drinkable. Chicken korma was deliciously sweet and their mango chutney was so more-ish.
Very good food and service . We enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner! I recommend the mixed starter And the lamb Hakeem as well as the Cobra draught
Food was excellent and so was the service, the restaurant was very busy but this did not effect the service. we were even given a complementary drink when we paid.
Friendly staff and good food. Child friendly and nice clean facilities. The atmosphere was good, the restaurant staff made good recommendations and struck a good balance between being attentive but also giving you space to enjoy your meal.
A really lovely friendly restaurant, great food, lovely ambience and very good prices. Highly recommended. We have been a few times now and never disappointed.
Restaurant was very busy when we arrived, waiter that greeted us friendly, opened upstairs to accommodate us. Excellent service and food was great, will be returning.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly.Considering we were the first customers of the evening the service was slow. The food was OK but rather ordinary and unexciting..
Fantastic meal in a buzzing atmosphere, everything was delicious, drinks chilled and toilets clean, right next to waterloo station, a great place to meet !
Excellent food and service. Would recommend for a quick dinner as the service is quick and efficient.
Good food, good service, good prices and good atmosphere. What more could you ask for?! I'll definitely return to this very welcoming and friendly restaurant.
Decent Indian literally next to Waterloo Station. Liked the fact the had beer other than Cobra.
Not much from the outside but very pleasant inside. Read reviews of poor service but our table of 3 was treated with an abundance of attentive waiters. Food was quite good and well presented. Perfect location for National Thatre and Southbank activities - especially good if you do not want to eat outside with throngs of young people. Recommend.
Great food including some specials that I'd not seen before - delicious! Friendly and attentive staff keen to serve but not pushy. Reasonable prices and a great atmosphere.
food was great once again but was let down a little by staff as felt rushed to order. Would still recommend though :-)
Great location, great service, lovely food, reasonably priced, I will be back!
Service was good but food was average. Not the freshest of ingredients.
Very good we were a big party and got an exclusive room and a waiter always on hand to keep us fully catered for
We have always had delicious food at this restaurant. The service likewise is always good with polite waiters. The location is very good for Waterloo Station.
Very friendly staff. Very good food. Would definately eat there again.
The food was lovely, nice staff and very popular I will be returning very soon!
Good and friendly staff great tasting food all round great meal
Doesn't look very inspiring from the outside, particularly given the location, but don't be deceived by appearances. I took a group of non-UK colleagues, some of whom had never had a curry before, so I wanted their experience of a British Indian restaurant to be as typical as it could be. We tied it onto the end of a walk along the South Bank from Blackfriars to the London Eye. This is clearly a very popular restaurant. Inside, it's a busy Indian restaurant, and whilst the decor is a little tired, the atmosphere is excellent. It was very busy when we were there, but service and food quality was very good. The menu is particularly extensive and very reasonably priced for Central London. Great reviews from all my colleagues, on not only the food but also the experience. I would eagerly go back with family, friends and other colleagues if I get the opportunity.
Good quality indian food! Nice place with a friendly staff
We booked a table for early evening before a concert on the South Bank and found the service and quality of the food both excellent and will certainly return.
Great location, delicious food, good service, reasonable bill. I will return again.
I have eaten in this restaurant many times, the food is excellent and the staff are always friendly and attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Nice enough food, decent location for those getting the train, will return. Careful on the meal deal though, "any dish" does not mean any dish! ;)
The food was out of this world! The menu offerings were many, it made it difficult to decide on what to order. The only thing lacking was the service. Just not real friendly to those who weren't regulars.
Good tastey food. A bit noisy. Good value for the money.
I was impressed with the menu and will say, the food was quite good. My only complaint is the service...its was quite slow and when ordering we were reminded of the 'rules' on eating in at the restaurant. Apparently, you MUST order a main dish for each person otherwise you can't order. I've never witnessed such a thing but what was most puzzling was that my friend and I were ordering 2 starters and a main to share but that still wasn't enough for us to place our order. In any case we ended up cancelling a starter to order another main but missed out on trying/having the starter that I wanted as it's one of my favorite Gujarati foods that is not served in most typical Indian restaurants. I would eat from here again but probably not in the restaurant which is quite a shame.
The food took an hour to arrive and the manager would not apologise. He tried to convince us we'd only been waiting 20 mins. Not impressed.
Very good food, friendly staff, clean and cosy premises. Definitely THE place to be for quality Indian. Would have rated 6 if there had been more choices for desserts other than ice cream :)
Good curry with friendly staff and a very convenient location.
Staff were very attentive. The food was more interesting than your average London curry. Really enjoyed it and would happily go back with my friends
here You can sit really comfortable, and enjoy good food
