Great food & service as slways ! Can recommend the Sunday roast !

Family meet up before Xmas break to exchange cards & gifts. Always made to feel very welcome here. Friendly staff, great food & very pleasant surroundings. Will be back !

The food and service was great. The staff were lovely as always. The only issue we had was that the desert menu was limited so we only had a drink and a main each.

The visit to the stables was excellent. Staff were excellent nothing too much trouble. The STABLES is very clean and airy as well. Ì would certainly go back there again.

The service was great but the food was just ok. The lasagne had a weird texture and a funny taste. It wasn’t like a normal lasagne the mince felt like it had been minced extra thin. It just wasn’t the best lasagne

This is my second time at the stables, the first time I ordered the standard portion which was huge … this time I ordered the light bites, which is still a full plate but managed to have a dessert too :) The steak was cooked to perfection, the Date Sponge was amazing and we left suitably full. The staff are a delight and happy to explain the menu and nothing is too much trouble :) lovely !!

We had the belly pork, had to send it back, it wasn’t crispy. Last time we came it was beautiful

Unfortunately our order was incorrect we ordered from the smaller plate menu but was charged full BUT this was sorted without any problems. The steaks were tough and chewy! The desserts we wanted they had run out we changed but asked if we could have clotted cream (as this was with the dessert we wanted). This was said they would sort that but we were charged £1 extra for the cream. Ordered one cappuccino but came just a plan coffee. We could of said something but didn’t. The stables is a Place great and staff lovely. Just unlucky with food choices. Would still visit again .

Great venue, great food and great service. It wasn’t our first time there. We’ve been going for years. Fairly expensive to be honest, but then you get what you pay for. Don’t go if you don’t like the prices, but you’ll be missing out!!

Very good experience overall, as the food was very good and fairly priced, the restaurant area was attractive and clean and the service was excellent. My co-diner's Merlot wasnt the nicest but that small matter aside, I'd definitely go back.

we had a Sunday roast there .... amazing food . it was piping hot too and served up perfectly. no room for pudding though lunch was delicious. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, like so many other hospitality venues, there were a lot of customers at The Stables, but very limited amount of ‘inexperienced’ young serving staff! A plate of another table’s food was delivered to our table of six and then 5/10 minutes later was collected and told it was for another table? We have always enjoyed eating at The Stables, but would suggest that they don’t book too many customers unless they are sure they have sufficient, experienced staff in order to be able to provide the service that we expect!

We were early but was greeted with a warm welcome and was told where to sit. Waitresses were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious.
