Excellent service, food quality and great value, as we had the “smaller appetite” option which was perfectly adequate for us over 50s! £12 a head with a drink and tip is hard to beat these days!

We always enjoy our lunches at the Stables. The staff are like family to us now & the food is very good & good value

Service was good, atmosphere was very enjoyable, staff were friendly and polite, diversity of the menu was very good with excellent range for all ages, prices were reasonable. Altogether a very enjoyable evening for our 50th birthday celebration.

Really great lunch. Only thing stopping me giving 5 starts was the vegetarians in the group wanted a roast dinner, helpful staff sorted things out but would have been good to see it on every menu

Lovely food but was slow coming out. Table booked for 6:45 but main course didn’t arrive until 8:00.

Our visit for Sunday roast far exceeded expectations. The initial welcome was friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully fresh and hot. The best roasties ever. Service excellent. A lovely place to eat.

A last-minute booking for my birthday and this visit to the Stables turned into a really lovely treat. The service was exceptional; our duck breast was cooked to perfection and the berry strudel was exquisite...just didn't want the evening to end! Thank you to all at the Stables...we'll definitely be back :)

Bit of a shortage of restaurants in the Exeter area, booked at the Stables and was very surprised, great welcome from front of house and attentive service throughout our meal for 4, well done to the team

Noise was only because some of the tables are very close together

Great service. Lovely setting and atmosphere. I had the roast lamb which was absolutely delicious, one of the best roasts I've had. Cant wait to go back

We enjoyed our meal, although steak was sent back as it wasn't cooked to instructions. Tables are also too close together.

Staff work extremely hard as the restaurant was very busy. Food very good. We like having a smaller portion. The only other point we would make was that the desserts sold out quickly.
