Great choice of food and drink, very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Visited the stables Exeter. Food fine except the fish chowder was not brilliant. Chowder very poor - runny sauce with no substance and not a lot of flavour.

First time for Sunday lunch. Lovely. Most certainly go again.

A great meal with a really good service. Definitely will be going back.

Excellent visit to The Stables at Cowley Lovely welcome by the staff and very pleasant waitress and very tasty food very well presented would really highly recommend this place to eat.

My wife had the fish which was beautiful white cod in a lovely thin crisp batter and I had the 10oz rib eye cooked rare. To say the steak was perfect would be an under statement as it was the best steak I have ever had in a restaurant. All in all a marvellous meal in great surroundings. I would recommend to anyone

It was my daughters 18th birthday. We requested a table to in main bar, and we were given a table in another room so very pleased. The staff were friendly and my daughter enjoyed her birthday meal

Exceptional understanding of social distancing, from the start. Staff are excellent in terms of understanding people’s worries of close contact. Food is amazing in both flavour, and presentation. Great value for money. As a party of 4, we would all recommend The Stables for an excellent meal.

Great food. Amazing service. Partitions between tables, regular cleaning being done, staff wearing masks . The staff are working so hard to make the dining experience a safe and enjoyable one and they achieve it with ease.

A lovely meal and very generous portions. Social distancing was very well adhered to.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is always amazing and the portions are filling. I also love that they support the local brewery by serving Sandford orchard ciders. Would highly recommend

Staff great difficult in present Covid 19 but we were happy to support local businesses. We enjoyed our meals, grilled fish & battered fish. We will be coming again soon.

Good honest food, well cooked and plenty of it, good value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful a credit to the venue, treated us like old friends, would recommend this venue for casual dining a fun place to meet up with friends and family. They have set the venue out to comply with social distancing do not be afraid to visit and enjoy a meal out, we felt very comfortable and safe was lovely to get out and enjoy the new normality. Please visit to keep the hospitality sector going.

First visit to a pub since reopening and i have to say it went without any problems . All set up properly and well organised. Food and service great as usual !

Me and my partner went at 18:30, it was very quiet for that time which i prefer, the service was amazing and their steak is fantastic! My partner had a Veg Lasagne and overall it was very nice but she did say there was either a little too much cheese, or the fact they used smoked cheese caused it to be too intense for her (thats her own opinion though so don't feel afraid to try it yourself!!!). We were waited on very well, offering more as we came to the end of our meal but we only came out for a single course main. It was starting to get busier as we were leaving around 19:45. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back!

We had a lovely meal. It was so good to see the pub open again. The staff were welcoming and our meals were cooked to perfection.

Our first visit here since restaurants and pubs were allowed to reopen. Could not fault the service level, quality of the food and social distancing and hygeine measures. The staff all seemed to have been well trained in these difficult times. Well impressed and will return before too long.
