Visit was pleasant, Food was good, but did seem to go cold very quickly: Would visit again, other meals looked great!

First visit to a pub since reopening and i have to say it went without any problems . All set up properly and well organised. Food and service great as usual !

Me and my partner went at 18:30, it was very quiet for that time which i prefer, the service was amazing and their steak is fantastic! My partner had a Veg Lasagne and overall it was very nice but she did say there was either a little too much cheese, or the fact they used smoked cheese caused it to be too intense for her (thats her own opinion though so don't feel afraid to try it yourself!!!). We were waited on very well, offering more as we came to the end of our meal but we only came out for a single course main. It was starting to get busier as we were leaving around 19:45. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back!

We had a lovely meal. It was so good to see the pub open again. The staff were welcoming and our meals were cooked to perfection.

Our first visit here since restaurants and pubs were allowed to reopen. Could not fault the service level, quality of the food and social distancing and hygeine measures. The staff all seemed to have been well trained in these difficult times. Well impressed and will return before too long.

Good place to eat. Welcoming and warm. Good food served quickly. So much better all round than the Red Deer (Which is on our route from Exeter back to North Devon)! We shall return.

Excellent time , lovely meal friendly staff very warm welcome we have always had great food and wonderful atmospheric time whenever we have been here including family Christmas meals(the last three years!)...

Easy to book online, easy to park car (bus stop also nearby) the table was ready, generous portions of delicious food with good veggie/ vegan choices and attentive service. Perfect.

You have some of the new lighting lamps that have visible filaments which are very uncomforatable when they're in your line of vision for an hour or more. Frosted lamps would be much better.

Great food! Bit of a long wait for it though...

Been before so I knew the food and service would be excellent and we weren’t disappointed! The restaurant was extremely busy and our waiter warned us there might be a 30 minute wait for food but it came out much quicker than that and was excellent quality.

Not so good this time. Mash was a little lumpy and veg a little too crunchy. Not a great selection for dessert either
